Beautiful and peaceful location run by the most hospitable and nicest family. it's more of a couples retreat than for families with young children but they were incredibly accommodating regardless. Obviously people that genuinely care about their guests.

Nothing I didn't like. Would be good to have more glasses and perhaps salt and pepper (basic spices) in the kitchen.

Amazing place located in the hills with lovely hosts Alessandra and Marco. Nice and clean rooms in Tuscany style. Good breakfast and perfect Saturday’s dinner in the middle of nature. Amazing swimmingpool with a view on the mountains. Everything was perfect. We will definitely come back!♥️🍇🍷🇮🇹

this facility is run by super lovely Alessandra and her son Gianmarco, they will make you a lovely breakfast every morning and for some evenings a fantastic home made dinner. property is super clean and nice looking. it’s not too far to go exploring this lovely region.

we would probably book a bigger room next time. mobile signal is very low or none, but you would come there for relax, right? ;)

This place is one of the most beautiful destinations we have been to. It is located in the hills with a view on the mountains near Cortona, an absolutely relaxing paradise in the middle of nature 😊. Still you can reach the most famous places in Tuscany from here within ~1 hour. However what makes this place so special is the whole ‚Borgo Solamore family‘- all is made with so much love that you never want to leave. 2x per week Alessandra and her son Giammarco prepare a great Tuscan menu also with a nice choice of wines (they even consider any special whishes!). We will definitely come back 🧡

Breakfast was amazing, far exceeded my expextations. Eggs, pastries, juice, fruit, coffee. Our host could not be any nicer. This is how you do hospotality. Dinner options Thursday-Sunday were restaraunt quality.

Cell servive is spotty, but there is wifi on property so no worries there.

The breakfasts were large and delicious. Homemade breads and pastries. Yum!

It was the perfect hideaway. Peaceful location. In the middle of no where but easy access to a lot of great places to visit. Wonderful dinner and Alessandra and Giammarco are the best hosts you can imagine. All in all 11 out of 10 points. Grazie mille.

Alessandra is a great host. She made sure we had everything we needed, prepared lovely breakfast everyday together with her son and gave us lots of recommendations what to visit etc. We can only recommend the dinner she organised for her guests which was the best food we had during our holidays. The rooms are also lovely and everything was clean. We will make sure to be back one day! :)

There is really nothing that we didn't like. The breakfast becomes a bit repetitive after five days but it is still good. The typical Italian breakfast. Quite on the sweet side. Not a con but one should know that one definitely needs a car to stay at Borgo Solamore as it lies up in the hills and is not reachable otherwise. We, however, loved the remoteness.

Wonderful place with a nice view; the apartments are decorated with a lot of love for attention, breakfast is on a terrace with a beautiful view of the hills of Tuscany and the owner is super nice - she also has a lot of great tips for little trips in the area :)

Amazing location, peace and quiet and yet close to the city. A beautiful and charming house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchenette met all our expectations with a vengeance A place worth recommending, especially for those who are looking for tranquility and the beauty of nature. Special appreciation to Alessandra and her son who are wonderful hosts of this place. We could always count on their help.

Everything! All the tips that Alessandra gave are impeccable. She is a local who wants her guests to get the best out of the beautiful region her accommodation is at. Don't be shy, defintiely ask for her suggestions! Also DEFINITELY agree to the tuscan set-menu meal that she offers on Tuesdays. Honestly one of the most authentic and delicious food we had! All prepared by Alessandra and her son Gianmarco. Each dish has a story as to why its on the menu and a must try.

Total perfection, the beauty of nature and the borgo itself, the warmth and attention of the staff, all the comforts, the privacy, the food, the pool, the breakfast, the wine, local knowledge... Seriously, everything is just right in Solamore.

There is nothing not to like in that place. Road takes a bit getting used to.

Such a beautiful place to stay, the welcome and hospitality for the few days was exceptional. We ate in the Bistrot on the second night and it was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to really experience what Tuscany has to offer. Five stars.

We loved the very Tuscan character of the house. It was even nicer than we have expected, very comfortable and authentic. The host (Alessandra) is extremely friendly and helpful, advised us on where to go for dinner and to shopping. We will definitely try to return to the place.

We loved it all

Alessandra an her son created with heart and taste a beautiful place, where we loved to stay and definitely will return to. Very comfortable and cosy appartements in tuscany style in 5 buildings allow the guests to relax seperately in their area or to join others at the pool (with great panorama) or when Alessandra offers her original Tuscany-Menu in the evening. Good recommendations to visit the old lovely village of Cortona 15min by car. We loved especially the authentic and warm style of Alessandra and her team.

THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE PLACE I'VE BEEN ! I'd put an 11 if I could ! Thanks Alessandra, so much !! The place is beautiful !! You have this astonishing view in such a relaxing place ! Its calm, you can see the stars at night by the sound of nature, and you'll just have a nice breakfast in this cute dining area after a calm and restful night in a confortable and very clean room which is nicely decorated ! You can enjoy a little garden in front of you house with table and chairs and sunbeds if you don't want to be at the pool, or you can cool yourself in pool ! Whatever you want ! Cortona (10min drive) is beautiful and there's some yummy restaurants too (just ask Alessandra she always have nice tips !!) Will definitely go again !!! I wish we would have stayed longer ! Et little (or big) + : we've been invited by Alessandra for a typical tuscanian diner which was delicious and reasonably price (and god knows Alessandra knows what's good !)

It was like paradise. We've visited many high rated B&B's and haven't ever seen something so pretty. The view is stunning, the Borgos are cute and cosy the swimming pool is lovely, good umbrella's etc. If you go here make sure you stay enough days to explore Cortona, the lake and have at least two relax days at the pool to completely get rested. So minimum of 4 or 5 nights I'd say. Alesandra is a wonderful host even helped me by getting in the car with me and give me advice and a little cheer to get me up to the private parking place we had. Also she gave us once some snacks and some drinks at the pool. Lovely host. It is amazing as it is, but since we have a lot of experience visiting high standard B&B's it's always nice to tell them about what we have seen so maybe they can use the tips. So here a few tiny things that I'd change to make it even more perfect: - Change the breakfast and keep it more simple but with even higher quality by: - Fresh self baked bread for breakfast (as the bread was dry and sometimes hard, maybe it's something Italian as we haven't enjoyed the bread that much in Italy besides the pizza dough bread) - Some more Italian cheeses and meats for the bread (Most Europeans like a savory breakfast unlike the Italians) - Not for me (as I dont have a sweet tooth unlike my husband) but I've seen this at some B&Bs and it would suit this B&B well. Home-made jam from regional fruits and put them in tiny jars that you can wash and use again. You can make big batches and it isn't hard, but a hugh difference In taste and feel. - Let people order a panini a day ahead for the next day for lunch if they are interested by filling in a panini choice form. Maybe even with the option of some drinks (bottle of wine, beers etc.). And have them pick it up with breakfast.

The steep gravel path up to paradise was a bit scary for someone like me who isn't used to mountains and gravel and doesn't have a strong engine. I recommend to pave the last steep bit starting the sign of the parking.

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was delicious - fresh croissants, homemade plum jam, Italian espresso! Peace and quiet - very relaxing with great views and the pool was great. The host- alessandra is very friendly, speaks fluent English and gave great recommendations. She is very caring and was lovely to meet her! Location - very easy to pop into Cortona by car, or go to the restaurant down the road (which was very good!), with lots of walking options to see even more of the view!
