We were a family of 15, ranging in age from 3 to 64. We could not have found a more suitable home for our vacation. There were plenty of comfortable beds for everyone, two large living rooms to gather in, and a big well-stocked kitchen that seated us all. We spent most of our down time on the large deck that included a fire pit and hot tub. The views were absolutely gorgeous. There were several games to play in the evening, along with a pool table to enjoy. The little ones had plenty of room to run in the big yard, where there was a tether ball and volleyball net. The house is located a few miles outside of Homer, but the drive is breath-taking. Katlyn was very quick to respond to any questions we had. No one wanted to leave when vacation was over. Absolutely perfect!

The house is fully stocked with everything we could have needed. The host was quick to respond to any questions or help we needed. We couldn't have been happier with our stay!

Six adults and 4 children stayed in this beautiful home. With 3 floors there was plenty of room and a surprisingly level of peace and quiet. Well stocked kitchen and loads of activities downstairs. Spectacular views!

We had an amazing time, not only in Alaska, but also in this home. Worked perfect for 5 couples. Amazing views of the mountains and glaciers in the distance. Very comfortable home. Would come back again.

The house and property were amazing! Every amenity needed, Katlyn was super easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. The view was SPECTACULAR and location was key as we were there for my brothers wedding the venue was just down the road. 10/10 definitely recommend!

The large property has fabulous views. The kitchen is stocked with basic kitchen condiments with many extra accessories for cooking. The stereo system has options for inside along with outdoor listening. Plenty of space with a pool table overlooking the fabulous views.

We all enjoyed fabulous views, lots of room, hot tub on the deck. The property was as described. There was plenty of space for four adult couples. The downstairs bedroom has the furnace in it which made it a little hard to sleep through. The house was plenty warm enough to have the heat off at night so it was not an issue after the first night. Would definitely stay again if we were to vacation there another time. Katlyn was very attentive and super accommodating.

But what we most enjoyed was the Mamma Moose and her new baby walking through the property every day.

Upon arrival we were greeted by cobwebs over the table, filthy floors, and clutter under the beds. Along with a lot of dust there were also socks, a shirt and books under various beds. One of the showers was wet and had hair on the walls. Most of the towels were down stairs in the laundry room not in the bathrooms where you would need them. The windowsills were also covered in dead bugs. And most noon the the beds in this “luxurious” home were creaky and plain uncomfortable. We contacted Katlyn immediately the evening of our arrival and she brushed all the dirty areas of the house off as little details and didn’t do anything to assist us. We spent most of the first evening cleaning the house. This house was definitely left by us in better condition then when we arrived, because as quests you must take the trash to the transfer station and have all towels and sheets in the laundry room and the machine running as you leave. At this point we still have not received our damage deposit back.

We loved staying here for our 5 guys fishing trip. Plenty of beds with individual rooms, and a very usable kitchen and deck with beautiful views.

Nice big house good location. We had six family members who all enjoy their privacy. The house was big and spacious and had great windows for view and light. The drive to and from Homer was spectacular and enjoyable every minute. Can highly recommend for family vacations

The house is very well-situated to enjoy absolutely gorgeous views of the glaciers across Kachemak Bay, both from the large deck out front and the large living room inside. Beds were comfortable, and everybody in our group really enjoyed the house (and the small cottage). Although it's a little bit of a drive from town down East End Road, it really isn't that far and wasn't inconvenient. Speakers are set up for music inside and out. And we had moose come through the yard, which was a fun treat for all.

Great place and good support from the property manager. The house advertises sleeping for 15. This is correct and the house is very large but there are really only 4 private rooms with queen or double size beds (including the cottage), so the rest of the housing is either pull out couches or trundle beds in a group room etc. this is fine but just FYI if there are more than four couples that would like privacy it gets a little tight. However, that’s a relatively small thing in the grand scheme. We had a great time and the house plus property was beautiful. It’s a bit secluded from town, which we preferred. Homer was a great town with lots of fishing and other opportunities. We also really loved a day trip to Cooper’s landing. Enjoy.

Well-maintained home, plenty of entertainment and sleeping options. Perfect for large groups, family reunions, etc. The separate mother-in-law building is particulary convenient

We had a group of 11, ranging in age from 10-63, and we had plenty of room to spread out or all be together. There’s a lot of seating so everyone can eat together. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you’ll need. We enjoyed the beautiful views, the hot tub, and the pool table. We took advantage of all this rental has to offer. The kids loved the volleyball net and fire pit. S’mores are always a hit! It’s not right in town, if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s about 15 miles out of town but it’s a beautiful drive so we didn’t mind that at all. We saw moose almost every evening driving in/out from town. It’s on several acres so there’s no neighbors close by and plenty of room for the kids to run around outside. It feels like your own secluded paradise with beautiful views across the bay of snow capped mountain tops. Homer has a lot of great restaurants and lots of choices for fishing excursions, flight seeing tours, and water taxis to take you to quaint little towns, great hiking trails, and all kinds of adventures. There’s a farmers market on Saturday with a lot of great local wares and produce. There’s a lot of quaint little shops to visit in town, too. Katlyn was a pleasure to work with. She was always ready to answer any questions about the home or the area. I would recommend this rental for anyone visiting the Homer area. It’s a beautiful area and this rental has a nice large deck to enjoy that beautiful landscape. The pool table, hot tub, and volleyball net are a bonus.

We enjoyed the house. It was clean with comfortable beds. Enough space for five couples. We were really disappointed that the hot tub was not operable. That was the reason we picked this place, other than that all was good.

We had 13 adult guests in this lodge and never felt crowded. The view was amazing. The kitchen was well-equipped and roomy so we could all share meals with the combined table and counter seating. We catered several meals in because it's hard to seat 13 in a restaurant and it was so nice for all of us to eat together and visit about the adventures we'd had each day. We've stayed in several vacation homes that had hot tubs but few of them ever worked--this one did! The deck was large and there was plenty of seating so we could enjoy the view. The living room was also large with ample seating and the lower level game room was great. We played pool several nights. We didn't have little ones with us but the lower level would be a great place for the kids to play while the adults are visiting upstairs. The main floor and upper bedrooms were nicely furnished. We had plenty of linens for our large group, never ran out of hot water, and used the washer/dryer when the day's activities left our clothes dirty or smelling like fish! We also used the cottage and had 3 of our family sleep there. It's about a 15-20 minute drive back to town so you need to figure that time in if you've chartered tours out of Homer. The drive has some spectacular scenery so we didn't mind it and were glad we passed up some of the homes closer to town and chose this location. Katlyn was very responsive both before and during our stay. She answered lots of questions, gave me advice on places to eat and tours to take and really made us feel welcome. I would recommend this home to any large families visiting the Homer area. We had a terrific time on our vacation and no one wanted to leave. We fished, kayaked, watched bears, and hiked-- and every night we had a great place to "come home to".

Great family memories

The house was large enough for our group and the WiFi worked and the owner provided an info sheet that contained the password. Being 15 miles out of Homer made internet connection important for us and it was available to us right away. In addition the hot tub was on, up to temp and clean. That was a nice attention to detail by the owner. The kitchen was pretty well equipped and we cooked a couple of nice meals which is an advantage of renting a nice house to enjoy together and tell stories of our halibut Charters and other adventures over dinner. The house makes you aware you are in Alaska and not just another house in the suburbs of the lower 48! The water is a little yellow but is filtered and does not smell bad. We used bottled water for coffee and to drink. The deck is very nice with lots of space, some chairs and great views including some glaciers. The cottage offered another bedroom and was a nice extra. We enjoyed our stay very much and the welcome package the owner provided (gourmet coffee beans and wine) was a nice start to our stay. We would stay again if the house is available in future years. There was some delay in travel from Homer to the house due to road construction but not too bad and that will wrap up soon.

We had a fantastic stay at Sunrise Glacier Lodge! The home is gorgeous with breathtaking views, spacious and extremely well stocked! The fire pit; the hot tub; the sauna; the pool table; the great games to play were all enjoyed by everyone! What a memorable time we had and would highly recommend it to everyone! I cannot say enough nice things about Katlyn and the lovely accommodations. Thank you!
