Rilassatevi in un tranquillo ambiente, privato, low tech circondato da Madre Natura. La città di High Springs con pezzi d'antiquariato, negozi di souvenir e ristoranti si trova a 6 miglia di distanza; Gainesville (e la UF Gators) si trova a 30 miglia di distanza. Bellissimi parchi e fiumi alimentati a molla e sentieri pedonali / ciclabili si trovano nelle vicinanze. Speleosub e snorkeling a fama mondiale Ginnie Springs è di 1 miglio a monte. Canoa / Kayak / galleggiante / nuotata / rilassarsi nel fiume e sorgenti 100 piedi dalla porta della cabina.

The cabin, its setting in the woods, and our lovely hosts were all Delightful! Small, tiny, cozy, but perfect in so many ways. Cute cabin decor and furnishings too.
Excellent binder of literature provided interesting and helpful information regarding the area. The hosts are communicative and helpful; they definitely deserve their Premier Host status. We look forward to staying with them again!

We only live 2 hours away and we’ve been coming to High Springs for years. Ginnie is usually where we camp, but I decided to rent a cabin this time. All I can say is that we enjoyed our stay 100%. The owners greeted us when we got there even though it was raining. They helped us with anything we needed throughout our entire stay. We loved the 2 separate springs and state park that we’re all in walking distance from the cabin. Doug at Rum 138 is amazing if your looking to rent a kayak or canoe. The hospitality at both places was so nice. We will definitely be going back. Perfect spot for two people, shower was hot, fire pit was nice, decent sized mini fridge. We loved that our cabin was tucked into the middle of the woods, away from everything.

The property was so beautiful and private! The host was very friendly and so helpful! We wanted to enjoy the river with my small boat so they drove us down to a nearby boat ramp and dropped us off so we could float back towards the property! I highly recommend this location 👌

Very quiet cabin a short walk from the Santa Fe river and one of its beautiful springs. We kayaked the river and spring hopped during our stay. The cabin was clean and had the essentials. The host was great with communication and meet us at cabin to show us around. Recommend to anyone looking to explore the area!

We had such a great time at your cabin . Maryann and Dave are superb hosts . The cabin was well stocked and the scenery from front porch is spectacular with deer grazing nearby .
This was our second time staying because we couldn’t get enough of the river life the first visit We will definitely be back again .

The tiny house, grounds, and spring was awesome and had a magical feeling. The tiny house had more amenities than any large home we've booked. They even provided such amenities as condiments, first aid, shampoo, bug spray, and bbq/fire supplies. The grounds had plenty of room to explore with a fire pit area, seating, and wildlife. We saw swallow tailed kites, racoons, deer, and amphibians. The spring was larger than we thought with the clear water extending to the sides of the Santa Fe River. We had no need to go to the Rum island spring nearby. The kayakers were all friendly people and had no issues sharing the spring.

The cabin was very cute and the location was perfect. Not far at all from a kayak shuttle service so we were able to enjoy the Santa Fe River as well as walk down to multiple Springs right from the cabin. I will definitely be coming back here, hopefully during the week to avoid big crowds at the springs.

We loved our stay at rum island cabin. My fiancé and I came with our dog for Memorial Day weekend. The cabin was cute and quaint, and equipped with everything you needed. You can tell the hosts put much thought into what they stocked it with. Maryann was so sweet and even offered to bring a heater down on a surprisingly chilly day. We enjoyed making a fire at night and lying in the hammock… it’s so peaceful. A small spring is about 100 yards from the cabin with a marked path to walk down, we brought our kayak there and back with no problem. There are so many springs to explore nearby. We decided to wake up around 7:30 to get out to the springs early before all of the campers at ginnie springs were awake and wow was it worth it. We swam and snorkeled all the springs basically to ourselves. What a magical place, we will definitely be back soon !

I planned a kayak trip on the Santa Fe River and I paddled in and paddled out from this cabin - which is up a gentle slope from the river - about 375 feet. Convenient to Poe Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs - and many other small springs on the river if you come in by kayak. The cabin was just perfect for me - and it could sleep 3 inside if you brought a cot. On day one I used Rum 138 shuttle to preposition my vehicle at Hollingsworth Landing downriver of the cabin - and dropped me off at High Springs boat ramp upriver of the cabin. I paddled upriver to River Rise Preserve - then downstream to the cabin - stopping at Poe Springs along the way. The next day I paddled to Gilchrist Blue Springs and Ginnie Springs before pulling out at Hollingsworth. The cabin and its location was perfect for this trip - very quiet and secluded. I will be back - thanks for a wonderful stay!

I couldn’t ask for a better location! You are steps away from natural springs. The lightening bugs are magical! It is a very quaint and well stocked cabin!

The property was more than we expected. Lots of space outside, private. Really loved the screened in porch. The amenities were minimal but everything you need. The river and springs were beautiful. The people were very friendly and helpful.

A peaceful quiet getaway in a tiny cabin.

The cabin along the river is a very peaceful refuge. The location is near the springs along the Santa Fe River and canoe and kayak rental is just down the road. The cabin is in close proximity, walking distance down a nature path, to a small spring and a larger spring in a state park. The location is perfect for both an early morning and sunset walk to the spring in the state park.
The cabin itself is small but comfy. There is no Wi-Fi, as disclosed, but my Verizon connection was very strong and I was able to share my phone WiFi with my laptop and could stream Netflix with no problem.
There is a coffee maker (not Keurig), frig (no freezer) and microwave to help with mealtime.
The bed was very comfortable and I rested very well while I was there.
The screened porch provides a perfect resting spot to both watch and listen to the sounds of wildlife.
The owners are VERY nice and accommodating and I would definitely stay here again.

Very beautiful location just steps from the Santa Fe river and Rum Island park. The Cabin was just perfect for my wife and l. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful location to unwind for a few days.

We were looking for a remote and get away Rum Island Cabin did not dissapoint. This was our first vacation rental experience and we happy it was a good one! Mermaid Spring behind the property is absoltely gorgeous. We got photos we will cherish. We most certainly hope to return. It was peaceful and just what what needed.

Awesome and beautiful being right next to the springs. Nice walking through the trails and seeing all the wildlife. We brought our dog and he had a blast we will definitely be coming back in the summer.

Very nice little cabin, clean, isolated. At night the deer were standing right outside of the home, we enjoyed watching them.
Easy check in, High Springs is a nice little town.

Small, cozy, clean cabin! Very cute and quaint. Outside seating with grill and fire pit. Steps from a small spring and short walk to Rum Island park. Great stay! Be sure to take advantage of local parks, kayaking, springs and nature in the area!

We didn't actually stay due to terrible weather. We saw the cabin, and thought it was very cute and very clean. It seems like a great place to enjoy the springs and the outdoors. Unfortunately for us, the rain was pretty intense and was forecasted to stay thought the weekend. We decided just to go home and try again another time!

Great place to unwind , piece and quiet, no phones and plenty of things to do in the area. Your own little paradise, plenty of wildlife, a little spring only 100 yds away and it’s so quiet!

My best friend and I take a yearly girls trip to the springs and this cute cabin in the woods. It’s small but just right. The quick walk to Mermaid Spring is great, we saw a momma deer with 2 little babies every day. The water is great. Make sure you take a kayak ride down from 27 to at least Rum Island you won’t regret it. We will be back.

Little Taste of Paradise
My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs and had a wonderful "family" vacation. It was so peaceful and the cabin was perfect for our needs. It was great being able to walk down the path to Mermaid Springs--where my dogs could swim, too! We really loved staying here and hope to return again!

Beautiful and peaceful.
Maryanne and Dave were very gracious. My husband and I loved the peaceful setting and the Springs. Our dog Gracie loved sitting on screened porch looking for all critters, and deer. She was on sensory overload! We had a great time for a much needed getaway

The pictures are beautiful, but in person this is absolute paradise! MaryAnne is wonderful, and we love her family!
We have already reserved this again in December so we can float with the manatees!
