Prior to our arrival, the host provided us with very detailed instructions on how to reach the property, so it was easy to find. The hosts were very friendly and provided us with helpful with tips on places to eat and visit. The property was clean and stocked with all the basics, such as dishes and spices. This was a beautiful location on the lake and we took full advantage of the fishing poles and row boat! The location is very peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful property. House layout was perfect for our family. They had everything we needed. We often cooked breakfast and supper there, then explored the peninsula during the day. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for cookware, etc., even spices! The lake is beautiful and the hosts are very gracious.

I thought LeAnn was going to have to evict me from this place. It was awesome. We came to enjoy some Alaska winter and it’s exactly what we were looking for. Secluded and rural but close enough to explore the Kenai Peninsula. LeAnn will be as hands on or hands off as you want. The space was perfect for me and my daughter and was absolutely immaculate.

Soooo glad we choose this property for our stay in late August. If your looking for a place that is remote but not desolate this is the place. Its about 25 min from the nearest Walmart / town. Paved roads 98% of the way then a maintained gravel road for .4 mile ( our Mercedes rental car did just fine; if you need a rental look at "Turro" ride sharing for car rentals and save yourself $150 day vs airport rental rates) This property lies at the end of a road so there's not much traffic on the road. We stayed in duplex #2 and had zero complaints. This dwelling is freshly remodeled and everything inside is new and clean. It has a kitchen stocked with basic pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, coffee pot and utensils. It does have some random spices and such. Has a washer/dryer. Has cable and wifi, not that we had time for that with a dock in the backyard equipped with fishing poles and some basic tackle. Once we were tired of fishing we took the complimentary canoe out for a paddle around Daniels lake ( very calm waters). The wood fired sauna was just what we needed after a long day of whale watching in Seward. There is a propane grill and fireplace outside next to the deck. Big manicured yard. The host was very fast and communicative when responding back and forth before the trip, she even gave us a briefing about all the road construction from Anchorage and to expect delays along the way. She was very friendly during our stay and made us feel as family. Would definitely stay here again on our next vacation.

The lake and cabin are glorious- a very special private and remote (but not too remote, in terms of shopping, etc.) hideaway on the incredible Kenai Peninsula. We walked the entire immense beach at Captain Cook State Park and caught Sockey Salmon on the Kenai River. So the location is excellent for access to Kenai, Soldotna, Sterling, etc even not so far from Homer. But the lake and and the property were the great surprise- we just wished we had planned more time to hang out there to canoe and paddle board. Tom and Leann were gracious, welcoming, and hugely friendly. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

The owner was very accommodating with our changes during the trip. We wanted to stay somewhere close to fishing but also had activities nearby for non-fishers. Took the canoe out, drank coffee on the patio and grilled salmon we caught. The unit was stocked with everything you need. Extra coffee and condiments were provided.

We loved our stay here, it was a really nice place on a beautiful lake. The place was very clean and included amenities beyond our expectations including laundry and plenty of kitchen appliances. Use of the canoes and lake made our stay even that more enjoyable. Leann was extremely easy and quick to communicate with if we needed anything at all. Honestly, we got to meet a few of the family members and they were all really great and helped make our stay with our kids even that much better. Thanks!

This is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed visiting with the owners, rowing on the lake, and viewing wildlife. It is a beautiful setting, and comfortable stay. The kitchen had everything we wanted and more.
The only thing we didn't realize was the distance to other places on the peninsula. However, I would love to stay here again!

Great Place!!! :)
The property was beautiful! Very relaxing place to stay after being on the road a lot. Tom and LeAnn are very welcoming and great people!! Wish we had more time to hang out with them! Lol! We used the canoe and got out on the lake. The location is great, and the units are very nice, with everything you need for a good stay. Washer dryer was very nice, as was the fully appointed kitchen! Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Wonderful place to stay and take in the beauty, as well as, great owners! Thanks LeAnn and Tom for the wonderful stay and your hospitality! Stay in touch! :)

Place was so good!
Incredible views and amenities! Tom and LeAnn were amazing and friendly hosts. We enjoyed the sauna, paddle board, canoeing and fishing in the lake. It was just a short drive to Kenai for fishing. Our teenagers absolutely loved the property! One of best HomeAways we have stayed at. Thank you!

Loved Our Stay on the Lake
We loved staying here so much. The owners were very accommodating. If we needed anything they were ready to help us to make our stay easier. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. It was such a lovely place. We had four adults in our party stay here and there was plenty of room for us for a week in Alaska. We can’t wait to go back!

Heavenly Hideaway
Beautiful setting, quiet, new, clean and well appointed. Tons of staples in the kitchen to be able to dine at home if that is your desire. From the sauna to the dock and canoes, to the outdoor grill and warming table, the place was perfect! We had a spectacular stay! Our hosts made or stay warm and inviting, even fresh salmon for the barbeque. It’s truly a hidden gem and a bargain value. The fall colors were spectacular and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Truly feel Blessed.
