La atención del personal, Theo y su familia fueron muy atentos, nos ayudaron en todo y ofrecieron toda la información necesaria para el viaje. También la limpieza y el cuidado de las instalaciones. El desayuno riquísimo con café real que se agradece. ¡Gracias familia! 😊

- fantastisch gepflegte Unterkunft in der Nähe von Moalboal (5-10 Minuten mit dem Roller zur Stadt und Essensmöglichkeiten)
- sehr geräumige, liebevoll eingerichtete und saubere Zimmer mit kleiner Terrasse zum Sitzen und Wäscheständer
- gemütlicher Bereich im Herzen der Unterkunft zum Austauschen mit Gästen, zum Frühstücken (wird vor Ort auch angeboten) und Möglichkeiten Geschirr etc. zu benutzen
- Rollerverleih zu einem günstigen Preis vorhanden (Roller ist ein Muss auf den Philippinen)
- Bezüglich der Bewertung angesichts der Hunde: Es gibt in Moalboal und auf den Philippinen unglaublich viele Hunde. Wir haben auf unserer ganzen Reise keinen unfreundlichen Hund angetroffen, da sie meistens sehr müde auf der Straße liegen. Die Hunde interessieren sich in der Regel nicht für die Leute und Rollerfahrer. (Um über die Hunde mehr zu erfahren, kann man das Animal Sanctuary in Moalboal besuchen. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen)
- wahnsinnig gastfreundliche Familie vor Ort kennengelernt, die für jedes „Problem“ ein offenes Ohr haben und sonst auch bei allem Helfen und unterstützen (Somit kann man sie jederzeit ansprechen und bei „Problemen“ im Zimmer kontaktieren und sie helfen sofort weiter)
- Theo und seine Familie sind außergewöhnlich freundliche Gastgeber
Diese Unterkunft ist eine absolute Wohlfühloase auf Cebu. Für alle, die sich vielleicht hier und da an einer Ameise im Zimmer, an einer ab und zu instabilen Internetverbindung oder ähnlichem stören… bedenkt, ihr seid auf einer entlegenen Insel der Philippinen im Urlaub.

I recently stayed three nights at Astillo's Guest Houses in Cebu and it was a wonderful experience. The location is convenient, just 15 minutes by scooter from the city center, offering a peaceful retreat.
The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, making my stay very comfortable. The small, beautiful garden and the free coffee and water available all day were delightful touches.
The staff was exceptionally helpful, and the ability to rent a scooter on-site added to the convenience. Astillo's is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a serene yet accessible stay in Cebu.

We had a perfect stay. The first night without street noise, dogs or roosters!!
Very pleasant and friendly staff/owners. We feel very familiar and like by friends.
The location is not far from white beach and we enjoyed the sunsets every evening. Scooters are uncomplicated to rent. The entrance gate is always locked and we felt very safe.
Our room was new and very clean... with silent AC, hot shower with pressure, wardrobe, fridge and work station.
Coffee and drinking water are free.
In the nice landscaped garden you have the oppportunity for sport and relaxtion.
The breakfast was delicious and you could order it late.
We had a very nice quiet stay and can definitely recommend the accommodation.

We LOVED staying here! We felt safe, comfortable and cared for. The room was small but well fitted with plenty of storage. It was also extremely relaxing to be there.
There are cooking facilities too which were great and well equipped.
Theo and his family were some of the kindest hosts we have come across. We would always choose to stay here again in the future.

The place was pretty and comfortable
Good value for money
Probably the most stressful situation of our trip was here. The receptionist didnt keep track of the payments correctly and they ended up charging us double for the motorbike rental, luckily we noticed, but definetly ask for a receipt EVERY time. Our lovely stay here got spoiled at the end.

Shifted there after staying at panagsama road for a few nights. So this place, which is on a parallel road has a different vibe. It's quiet around. Yet, if you rent a bike, you can get to all the places you want easily. The rooms are super clean. You have a dedicated bathroom even though it's outside the room. You can rent bikes at the guesthouse itself.
Everything was great. I just wish the owners had a bit more info to share about what to do around.

The place was very clean and the stuff is very nice!! It feels like a small oasis!!

- The location is great, easy to find and close to everything, should you have a motorcycle of course.
- The guesthouse is a jewel itself, extremely well thought and maintained and the lights at night makes it even more special.
- The Aircon is a split, efficient and silent, you need it as a fan too because without air extractor, you're lacking of O2 quickly at night.
- Bed is comfortable, pillow is not, cheap one.
- The entire place is perfectly clean, from room to private bathroom, close to perfection.
- Parking for bike is great in the shadow.
- Schweigen ist Gold, silence is remarkable in this property knowing that we're in the Philippines!
As a travel professional, there are things that are troubling, especially when you're dealing with a "non vertical" product like this one.
- The presentation of the rooms and the photos displayed in main area before booking are misleading to say the least. You think you will book a "standard" room with a minimum of space and amenities but you end up in a 9M2 tiny room with 2 beds if you don't pay attention to every details in booking procedure. List of amenities is impressive but it's not related to the room itself but the property, and the "Tea/coffee maker in all rooms" is not true.
- At the time of booking I was ok with twin beds and external bathroom, just know that it's not located next door. Pay attention to the picture of the room you're booking because from my understanding, 50% if their rooms are tiny ones and they do not show them in main area photos of the property, why? The entire presentation of this property should be redone with honest and clear description on what it has to offer.
- This is sincerely way overpriced for what you get, imagine 9M2...
- Not really difficult to make it a very special place, it has almost everything. Smile is great but sometimes, it's not enough, like it or not, you learn, you improve.
- A piece of advice: wifi do not work while it's so easy to extend the signal everywhere in the property. Yes, it's says so, available in main area only, but connexion info is in the room, we're in 2023!

Theo is a great host and the staff was extremely friendly! they also provided us with a transfer from the airport. Еverything was extremely clean and well maintained. The garden is beautiful! Scooters are available for rent. Everything was perfect and we would love to visit this place again. Greetings! :)

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the bed was comfortable, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Great breakfasts, free water tea and coffee. Astillos is outside of the town so peaceful and yet easily accessible to all attractions by tricycle or scooter which can be rented there. We loved the kitchen area and hammocks as it was easy to meet other travellers. Thank you Theo Lin and team

It's like staying at home with friends. The atmosphere is so nice and peaceful. The lawn and garden are just beautiful and relaxing. Teo and Arlyn are wonderful hosts and can help with anything you need.
They have scooters for hire and the guesthouse is closer to White Beach than Panagsama where the sardines, bars and restaurants are.
The rooms are swept daily and the sheets changed every two days. It is kept immaculate!
If you are not sure how long you'll want to stay in the area, book it for a few days longer so you won't have to move.
The beds are very comfortable. Very. I slept so well here.
They offer breakfast only, not included, and the serving time is flexible.
Would stay in no other place. A scooter is a valuable item there.

The room is modern, confortable with your own patio. Bathroom with hot water, breakfast area with free coffee or tea. The place looks like a little resort. Theo and family are very nice and he gives a lot of information on the area and activities. Also you can rent motorbikes.

We loved staying at Astillo's, Theo was so kind and helpful, he booked the canyonnering for us with an amazing guide and was always helpful whenever we had any questions and needed help. Breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortabe and clean. Would reccommend!

Better than anything I would imagine in Moalboal. Host is very friendly, nice to talk to & gave many tips. Rooms are clean and modern, breakfast delicious! Felt like home :)
