We decided to book a last minute trip to celebrate New Years and were happy we could bring our dogs with us. Susan’s home was clean and recently updated, which is hard to find in pet friendly rentals and made for a comfortable and relaxing home away from home.
We had a minor hiccup at check in but Susan called immediately and had her property manager there in less than 5 minutes. Great communication and everything was quickly resolved.
Would love to stay again!

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. Very clean. I was worried because we are not dog people and it is dog friendly. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty bad, but we made the best of it. Wish we could have enjoyed the beach amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this home from the minute we walked in. My now husband and I got married at the Icona in the middle of our almost two week stay. We had a few friends and family members stay for a few days with us and they enjoyed it too. The house is very clean and modern you can tell it’s updated and that the owner takes care of it. It’s is very spacious and fantastic if others are joining you. We want to return for sure! This house is an A+

This home was well equipped for our beach vacation. The rooms are cozy and in the common area there are plenty of places for 8 guests to sit comfortably. The outdoor space, outdoor shower and amenities were all well maintained. I would definitely return and recommend!

I was very happy with this rental. The bedrooms were a good size with good quality beds and mattresses. The bathrooms also were large.
Overall the house is very well equipped. We came down packed to the gills, which has always been necessary in other houses. This house had enough working bikes, beach chairs, and other equipment that we really could have left ours at home. I'm picky about kitchen equipment, bringing my own knives, serving platters, etc., but this kitchen would have been fine if I'd brought nothing. The kitchen island is a really good add and we set it up as a buffet every dinner.
Someone with taste put a lot of thought into this house.

Great place to stay with our fur-babies. Very impressed with the cleanliness of this dog-friendly rental, as well as the responsiveness of the owner when we had an issue with one of the the showers. The fenced in yard was a perfect hang out for the adults, kids (and dogs) after a long day at the beach. We had a great time. Thank you!

This was our second time staying at this house, after trying out other dog-friendly options in the same part of Avalon.
In short: we tried the rest but came back to the best. The place was very clean (by normal standards, not just “dog friendly” standards). The bathrooms and back deck are newly renovated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and pans our family needed. And just a couple blocks from the beach!

My family and I Ioved the property and enjoyed our stay. Our dog Crystal especially loved the deck. Should would stay out there for hours even in the sun. It was a great location and the front deck was a bonus. We had a great time and would definitely rent again!!!

Our family had a wonderful time at Susan's homey and well decorated property. Although we had two families, the common spaces were very open and airy and we never felt cramped. The location is also ideal. It's a 5 min walk to the beach and less than a 5 min drive to all restaurants and critically, the ice cream shops! Susan was a great host and was very responsive with the few minor questions we had. Highly recommend!

Just What We Needed
Two small families wanted a nice, clean and reasonably priced place to stay for a full week, and this delivered on all counts. While we spent a lot of time at another house (with additional family) nearby, or chilling at the beach (pretty close) or boating on the bay (extremely close), every morning and evening everyone enjoyed the beds, bathrooms, showers, televisions, shared kitchen/refrigerator, and front/street-side deck. (Nice surprise: The angle of the house allows the front deck to be in the shade every morning, which REALLY helps on warmer/summer days. We enjoyed morning coffee/breakfast out there every single day, even in late June!) We also utilized the beach tags, bicycles, washer/dryer and more. When we had one minor issue, the owner pleasantly resolved the situation within 24 hours. P.S. Don't forget to bring your own bath towels, sheets and pillow cases!!

We enjoyed our stay in Avalon. Some minor problems with house were addressed immediately by Susan without any inconvenience to us. She is a wonderful host.

My family found the home comfortable and convenient to Avalon activities, the local park, and the expansive beach three blocks away. Once the digitized door - attached locking device was identified over the older pieces, it was a convenient security method while away and at night. More available cable channels (I.e. HBO) is recommended.

2nd time
We love staying at this house. The fact that it is dog friendly and has a great outdoor space for the pup to be able to run is an added bonus. The house is in a great location and communication with the owner is always suburb. This was our second Memorial Day weekend at this home and would definitely rent again if this house is available.

After reaching out to the owner on Thursday 12/30/21 and letting her know we had 3 of our 6 guests test positive for covid that day. She said she would try to get us a refund. She also said the a renovation had started on a bathroom.
