We rented this place back during the beginning of the year. When we arrived they stated there was an “unplanned power outage with unknown power on time.” They tried to relocate us to a different location with zero view of the park (reason we rented) and not what we had rented originally. Due to a family member needing medical device requiring power, we requested a refund, which was offered by Celicia. We found out in from another location in south Yosemite, they knew about the PLANNED power outage since the day before and did not send out notification. After multiple phone calls, emails, txt messages we were unable to obtain ANY response from the management. We contacted VRBO to assist, no assistance obtained in receiving a refund.

I want to make sure I start this review by saying that I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It was clean and spacious and the sunsets were so so so beautiful. That being said, there are some important things to note about this cabin that are different than the type of VRBO experience I’m used to. The closest grocery store is 30+ mins away, so there were some things I wished I had known when we stopped at the Walmart in Fresno on our way to the cabin! (So I’m hoping to help other families prepare a little better than we did!) 1. No spices, cooking oil, foil, Saran Wrap, containers with lids, or ice packs in the kitchen. There was salt and pepper and all the pots/pans/utensils you could need, but it was difficult to do simple things like store leftovers. Without restaurants nearby, we cooked nearly every meal (and also wanted to pack picnic lunches for the park.) We ended up buying ziplock bags for $10 at the closest store. 2. No board games or cards, and only 2 movies in the cabin. I thought this was odd, given the lack of Wi-Fi and distance from everything. We luckily had a couple of card games with us, but in trying to minimize our packing, bringing board games was not something I thought I would need to consider for a remote cabin. There are plenty of adult fiction novels and some vintage books about cross country skiing. 3. No first aid kit. Again - In the woods, not near any stores.. not even a bandaid on site… 4. No access to the washer and dryer. This is so weird for a VRBO, and not great when you’re there for a week with kids. 5. No access to broom or vacuum. Luckily my little humans didn’t create a need for one (on this trip… I’ve certainly used many vacuums and brooms in other vrbos!) 6. No body wash, shampoo, or lotion included. I’m used to there being either hotel style bottles or larger communal bottles available. More additional costs at the local market. The listing is not quite clear about the number of beds in the cabin. There are three bedrooms (two rooms with a queen and one room with two twins) but there is also a loft with three additional twin beds. That was a nice bonus, and was where my 6 year old decided to sleep. In the loft is the TV with the DVD player. There is also a table with chairs in the loft. The sheets and pillows are nice, but the mattresses need updating. The adults tossed and turned all week. The pics are accurate for the updates to the master bathroom and kitchen. Responsive host A+!!
