Pleasant and very quiet! A good break from larger family gathering on the lakeshore. Comfortable bed and great shower. We enjoyed watching the birds from the dining table. Good thing the Grouse Haven banner was up, near the end of the driveway, or we might not have found it! Initial confusion over the internet password, and the limited cookware of good quality had food stuck on it, but otherwise a good stay. Renters with large vehicles should be aware of the narrow driveway requiring careful backing up.

Nice cabin tucked away in the woods. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Great location to visit everything around keuka lake!

Phyllis & Mark have crested a magical escape from city noise and crowds. Equipped with a high vaulted ceiling, big, comfy chairs and hlking trails this is an oasis in the middle of wine country, sweet towns and local breweries.

We had a lovely weekend at your house. The property and house were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything.. the only thing I would even think about commenting about would be the water pressure in the shower was very low so it was to a lot longer to shower. This detail is very minor to us. It did not deter from how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again so much.

Perfect cabin in the woods getaway for our long weekend in the Finger Lakes! My spouse, two of our friends, and our 4 yr old mini goldendoodle loved the cabin which was beautifully nestled into the snow-covered woods, in an excellent location to enjoy the wineries, breweries and distilleries on both Keuka and Senaca Lakes. The thoughtful owners even supplied a crate for our dog for while we were touring the area, as well as everything we’d need for her as well (dog dishes, and even puppy poop bags). We were even given cabin tshirts and the ability to purchase the owner’s homemade maple syrup! We especially enjoyed the fireplace and cards & games for our evening enjoyment as well as the outdoor fire pit for snowy campfires. We will definitely be back!

Grouse Heaven 👍🏻👍🏻 This cabin is set amongst the tall birch and pine trees on the property. Even though we visited during the New Years weekend it was still quite private with the way the cabin is situated on the property. We loved the fact that we were able to bring our 2 dogs along for the holiday. We absolutely loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the sights and sounds of the birds and wind blowing through the trees. The dogs enjoyed the freedom of playing and running around on the property. The cabin is well appointed with all the kitchen utensils and appliances needed, along with very comfortable furnishings. Our hosts were easy to contact and responded quickly to our questions. We enjoyed our time exploring the surrounding Keuka lake area. Visiting Hammondsport, Pen Yan and some of the local wineries,breweries, and distilleries. This was exactly what we were looking for, for our long holiday get away. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to just relax unwind and still be close enough to site see the surrounding area. Thank you to Phyllis and Mark for hosting us in their cabin. The cabin and property were beautiful and peaceful. Phyllis called us 30 minutes into our stay to check on us and answer questions. The cabin was clean and cozy. We are already making plans for our return.

What a great property that while it’s close to civilization, you’d never know it when you’re sitting on the porch. You could easily have four adults and not feel crowded at all. Even a couple kids in the mix. The pups loved it because they got to gallivant along the cabin trails a couple times a day. Even the road is peaceful with hardly any traffic…like none! So quiet and beautiful. Had a deer join us one morning while we were listening to the pines and birch trees swaying and singing in the wind. We will definitely be back.

The weather was exceptionally warm for Nov. and since we had our fur babies with us we had a great time walking them. The cabin was absolutely perfect, with everything you would need! Loved the maple syrup sampler and brought 3 jars home for family! Hosts were excellent, we only saw Mark once on this way through for early morning bow hunting. We had been warned about bow season. We took nice rides with the dogs exploring local parks and Keuka Lake State park. Had a picnic in November, who would think? We definitely will rebook!♥️♥️♥️

What a wonderful cabin, everything was perfect.

Comfortable cabin, secluded in the woods. So many stars visible at night from the porch or fire pit. Enjoyed the gas fireplace inside at night. Ten to 15 minutes to restaurants and wineries.

small cabin tucked away in the woods. very quiet and peaceful. not far from the action. close to the state park, restaurants and wineries. the owner was easy to get in touch with. the only negative is the lighting in the cabin is very dim at night. during the day there are lots of windows for the sunlight to shine in.

Clean, cozy, quiet, peaceful and felt like home. The owners built this place with love and it shows. Grouse Haven is secluded in the woods. We awakened each morning to nature❤️. Minutes to Keuka State Park. We were able to use our raft and SUP paddleboard. Close to the Windmill Farm Market and the wine trail. Driving along skyline drive during a rain storm provided awesome views of rainbows over the lake. We could see where the”Y” in Keuka lake meets at the bottom of Skyline Drive. What a view! Upgrade since our last stay included a strong Wi-Fi service, AC and TV. Looking forward to returning in the fall!

The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We enjoyed every part of our stay but some highlights were sipping tea on the porch watching birds in the morning, making pancakes with the delicious maple syrup our host left for us, and reading/relaxing in the comfy chairs.

We loved the cabin. It was clean and the property is so secluded in the woods. We walked cabin trail and saw a lot of wildlife. It was the most peaceful and relaxing cabin we have ever stayed at. Cannot wait to return!!!’

Exactly what I was searching for to visit with family in Rochester and celebrate our anniversary. Loved the location, seclusion, nature, birds, fire pit, and picnic table outside outside. Appreciated the cleanliness inside, relaxation all around. State park near the lake just 3 minutes away, winery’s nearby as well. Overall a great place to stay!
