Beautifully Restored Traditional Property with Heated Pool in Small Village
Splendidamente restaurato, proprietà del XIX secolo con 3 camere da letto con vista mozzafiato sulle Alpi, giardino privato e piscina situato nel mezzo del Luberon - ideale per attività rilassanti, esplorative e sportive. Montjustin ha 54 abitanti, nessun traffico automobilistico, nessun rumore e nessun inquinamento. Nel villaggio c'è un piccolo club che organizza eventi culturali settimanali.
La Fenice è l'originale "mas" che è stato accuratamente restaurato e decorato con gusto, con un camino in pietra e pavimenti in cotto. La villa e il parco, in cima al villaggio (la corsia si ferma appena oltre la porta sul retro) con una vista incredibile sul parco nazionale del Luberon facevano parte del vecchio complesso del castello. L'ampio giardino si apre su una vista panoramica sul Luberon e sulle Alpi. A 600 m di altitudine, le notti a Montjustin sono limpide, belle e confortevoli, anche nelle giornate estive più calde.
Due volte in pietra comunicanti (meravigliosamente fresche d'estate) conferiscono alla casa un carattere unico. La cucina, situata in uno di questi, ha tutti i comfort moderni. La seconda volta in pietra è un soggiorno / sala da pranzo combinato con camino. Dietro la cucina c'è un enorme ripostiglio.
Vi è ampio spazio abitativo. Oltre a un soggiorno / sala da pranzo combinati con camino aperto al piano terra e una zona di seduta o giochi indipendente nell'estensione, c'è un grande salone al piano superiore, anche con camino provenzale, finestre panoramiche e porte su una delle ampie terrazze.
All'esterno, il giardino di un quarto di acro (1000 mq) offre una vista panoramica sulla splendida campagna del Luberon e sulle Alpi. Contiene una piscina paesaggistica illuminata di 8 x 4 m con coperta notturna, terrazze circostanti e abbondanti mobili da giardino.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Fenice. It’s a traditional French house with charm and character, making it very special. The communication from the owner was fantastic, answered all of my questions before and during our stay. Pierre Yves (the local manager) was lovely, very friendly, checked we were ok and if we needed anything but never intruded. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the house itself stayed cool despite the high temperatures thanks to its thick walls. The pool was absolutely perfect - refreshing, always at the right temperature, and the ideal spot to relax throughout the day. The garden offered the most beautiful view of the sunrise coming up over the distant mountains. The location is fantastic - quiet but not isolated. On a couple of the evenings we were there the local cafe/bar held events, one musical and one a film/food night. At the bottom of hill, La Pastorale restaurant was a real treat and comes highly recommended. We also loved exploring the local markets in Apt and Forcalquier – brimming with fresh produce, local wines, artisan goods, and plenty of treasures to bring home.This was a true home away from home – peaceful, comfortable, and full of Provençal character. We left feeling completely relaxed and would return in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for a get-away from it all, Meir’s beautiful home on Montjustin is your place! The town is tiny - just a few residents - and you need to drive to nearby Cereste or Reillane (or longer drive to Manosque) for supplies, but once you’re stocked up, this very French and roomy home with a pool, petanque, yard, and more is the perfect spot. We loved making it our home for a week and hope to come again. One word of caution: lots of steps and hard surfaces - fine for us but wondered how a family with young children or elderly parents might fare. Another gem is the multiple dining areas - we tried them all! Breakfast on the balcony, lunch by the pool, and dinner on the front patio. House is well stocked and laundry machine and DW make living a breeze. The town is quiet - not a sound unless the local bar has a band. Happened once while we were there. Cool music and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

The property was a very nice traditional French house on top of a ridge in the small village of Montjustin.
The house was clean and tidy with everything we needed for the weeks stay. The pool was refreshing and lovely to dip into during the hot summer days. We played boule in the garden before walking to see the sunset over the luberon hills in the evening.
The walks around the area are stunning and there are many beautiful villages, towns and sites to visit. Further away are lakes and activities (>1hr) away at the Verdon gorge and lake of Sainte-Croix.
We also had a great night at the little restaurant in montjustin with live folk music.
A great peaceful retreat for our party of 5 (4 adults and a 4 year old)

What an incredible gem! Private, beautiful, welcoming, peaceful and surrounded by a wonderful little town snugged into a gorgeous landscape. The home is full of everything you’ll need and the owners and caretaker are a delight to work with! Truly an exceptional spot
