La nostra dimora storica si trova proprio sulla Main St, nel cuore di Castine. La casa si trova dall'altra parte della strada rispetto al campo da golf Castine e due isolati dai negozi. C'è un ampio cortile di 1/2 acro sul retro della casa perfetto per far giocare i bambini e un grande ponte che si affaccia sul cortile e sul giardino per godersi il sole. La casa ha subito un importante rinnovamento nell'estate del 2013 con una nuova cucina, riscaldamento, finestre, cablaggio e vernice aggiornati. La nostra casa ha tutti i comfort necessari di una casa moderna (wifi, tv a schermo piatto, illuminazione) con lo stampaggio storico e il fascino di Castine. Abbiamo 4 camere da letto al secondo piano con altre due camere da letto al terzo piano. Quindi un'aggiunta che ospita una camera da letto e un bagno separati appena fuori dalla casa principale per un totale di 7 camere da letto. Grande casa per una famiglia numerosa o per soggiorno plurifamiliare nel cuore di Castine, a pochi passi da tutto.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this place and town were so great! The house was clean, charming, and huge! It was an old cozy cottage with large bedrooms and the hosts were very responsive. The town was quiet but had everything you need for a beautiful costal getaway. If we come to Maine again we will surely rent agai . Our whole family off 11 loved it.

Slow paced community within hour drive to multiple attractions. Great place to walk and take in the history.

MY wife and I brought our sons and their families to Maine to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I searched many, many VRBO properties before landing on this one. What a delight from the first time we entered. It is an older house with everything you would expect a Maine dwelling to be. And as my wife said, "the pictures on the website do not do it justice". The rooms are many and the bedrooms all have new and comfy mattresses. There are great rooms to gather and relax in and a game room with a pool table which my13 year old grandson found much to his liking. The host was very congenial and the check in was a breeze. My oldest son and his wife are both architects in Syracuse, NY and were enthralled with the property. It is a quaint property in a quaint Maine town and fairly accessible to Acadia, Bar Harbor, Camden and other great places. Loved it!❤️

It was great to be in Castine in August with lots of space for our group. The house was plenty big for our 2 families to stay together and enjoy a week in downeast Maine. The listing doesn't give a clear description of bedrooms, but there are 7 total (5 queen and 2 twin beds). The kitchen has plenty of space and supplies to make yourself at home for the week and there is lots of room to spread out in the house as well.
