Questa baita moderna e attraente si trova in alto su Black Mountain, Jackson NH. Circondato dalla White Mountain National Forest. La privacy e le viste spettacolari si aggiungono davvero a questa grande baita. L'interno è arredato in modo accogliente, 3 camere da letto e una cucina con ripiano in granito che è completamente attrezzata (senza lavastoviglie). Camino a legna nella sala comune principale adiacente alla sala da pranzo e soggiorno. Il livello di sciopero inferiore contiene una sala ricreativa / a castello (4) con schermo piatto / DVD, selezione di film di grandi dimensioni, tavolo da biliardo, tavolo da gioco e biliardino. Lungo la montagna e sei nel Jackson Village, caratteristico e incontaminato, che offre alcuni ristoranti e taverne di prim'ordine. E la città di North Conway è un giro di 20 minuti - shopping esente da tasse. La cabina si trova a 60 miglia dalla costa del Maine e 125 miglia da Boston.

The definition of serenity. A perfect full size cabin nestled in the woods on the side of a mountain that is as far away as you can be without having to go far away. Our family visited in February for a snow-cation and we weren’t disappointed at all. George, the owner, was very responsive and provided a wealth of recommendations for local amenities and activities. The cabin had all we needed. We even spent two days just in the cabin itself relaxing, reading by the fire, and playing board games. An escape from reality our family desperately needed. I am certain that we will make our way back to “ Thistle Rock!”

My husband, dog and I had 2 magical nights and days at this beautiful cabin. We enjoyed walking the surrounding trails, sitting by the warm wood stove and preparing meals in the kitchen.

We love the Jackson and Conway areas of New Hampshire. Great for hiking and kayaking, also great food (though more in Conway). This was the perfect place we needed for our anniversary weekend away, free of distractions. The ONE negative: I get charging $25 for bed linens and towels, as laundry is a significant additional effort. But charging the same for trash removal? We lugged a bag of garbage 200 miles back home. Guests shouldn't have to do that. Trash disposal is a basic service and shouldn't be extra. Didn't affect my overall view of the place that much, but it wasn't a nice end of the trip.

Do not hesitate to rent this place! It has the feel of a remote mountain cabin and is a real Jackson, NH experience. You also have all the amenities and more for comfort. The place is right next to ski trails and National Forest. There is plenty of cool local history to explore in his place as well.
George is an amazing communicator and is a conscientious host who genuinely cares about his guests and their experience at Thistlerock. His caretaker Alice does a great job preparing the place for your visit. Do not hesitate to give it a try. Also...Thanks for sharing your place to others!

Great trip! My family and I spent our Thanksgiving at the cabin and it was amazing. Everything was perfect and our host was spectacular. We will be back again.

George is an awesome man. I'm convinced he truly does provide the best stay in all of the White Mountains. He is a great host that actually cares how the cabin and area treats his guests. He went above and beyond for us, and I have no doubt he does the same for anyone that comes his way. The cabin felt like home, and with so many pictures and memorabilia it felt like we were taken in as family. Outside of the cabin we did all of the things a typical leaf-peeper does during the autumn season in NH - scenic drives, hiked, saw amazing views, rode a train, ate great food, and yet we were completely content to just stay at the cabin when all was said and done. So clean. So cozy. So simply the best. We are so grateful for how this trip turned out because of this lovely cabin.

Our family stay at Thistle Rock was everything we could ask for. The charm and character of the cabin had all of us instantly hooked. Everything was clean and welcoming as we entered the cabin. There was even some music playing off the radio, which was a pleasing touch. The location was peacefully quiet, with a perfect amount of outdoor area, to relax and enjoy the views of the distant mountains. The wood stove, the loft, and excellently suited cabin decor, offered the perfect feel for lodging amongst the mountains in New Hampshire. The outdoor shower was an added plus, and felt exhilarating after a day of hiking.
George was an amazing host with utmost courtesy, and always ensured we had everything we needed. He called to welcome us, and even sent some suggestions for places of interest in the area. What else can I say? The place was AWESOME!, and we only wished we could have booked it for a longer stay. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you for the great memories.

The house was great! Super clean and beds were comfortable. The perfect balance of feeling "out in the woods" but also just a 5-10 minute drive to the cute town of Jackson. Awesome trails to take advantage of right from the driveway, my dog loved it. George was super communicative and even offered us a later check out because he knew we were at a wedding the night before! Would love to come back!!

We loved staying in the Cabin. The cabin is spacious and very attractive, and it was easy to find. I had a strained hamstring so we did not climb Mt. Washington, be we did take the cog railway on a Bluebird day. We also climbed Black Mt. which was easier, and we visited the falls and also took a cable car up Wildcat. The cabin is well situated for visiting the area.

Very helpful host as needed. Gorgeous log home and facilities, including very nice wood burning stove and supply of wood. Bring towels and linens if you don't want to be charged extra $25. Be prepared to haul out your trash unless you want to pay an extra $25

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Perfectly clean and well organized. The location couldn't be more perfect as it is 10 minutes away from Storyland, Living Shores Aquarium and Jackson Falls. We were traveling with an infant and he had so much fun and loved playing in the front yard pushing his lawn mower up and down the hill! We loved the fact that the cabin was extremely dog friendly and our dog could travel with us. George was very accommodating and very responsive to all of the text messages. We will be coming back and going to Santa's village next time! Thanks again, Alice and George!

George is a 5 start host and was actively involved to insure we had the best experience possible. We loved the remote location with snowshoe and cross country skiing right out the door. We kept the cabin nice and warm with the wood stove, cooked in the well stocked kitchen, and enjoyed movies from the extensive DVD collection. Didn't miss not having wifi at all. Only problem encountered was that the water was cloudy due to a temporary well pump problem but there was plenty of bottled water as a substitute. There was only a slight kerosene odor in the basement that was planned to be fixed soon. George was very upfront about these two things and all in all, they did not take away from the great time we had.

Thistle Rock was all of that and more. Communication with owner was more than fantastic, he even helped me find the perfect place to order our thanksgiving meal. House is nestled in a quiet nook, with beautiful sounds from the nearby babbling brook. Location is key, although you are tucked away in privacy, your only minutes away from all of the wonders and attractions New Hampshire offers. It’s our new slice of heaven getaway; can’t wait to return next year. Would have left more stars if they would have let me. :)

I would give this property 10 stars if I could. It was the cleanest rental home I have ever stayed in, plus a lot of small touches that made us feel very at home. George was over the top sweet and wonderful - had helpful tips, answered any questions I had immediately and tons of good advice about the area. The location was perfect. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Tucked away on a dirt mountain road this cabin offers solitude while still being within a 10-15 minute drive of everything you need ( you might not need much though because this cabin is very well stocked). The place was spotless when we checked in and they even had a fire all set up in the fireplace for us. We also thoroughly enjoyed all the personal touches this place had to offer. We've stayed in alot of rental homes and this one was the first one where we actually felt at home. We will definitely be returning again and again!

We loved this cabin in Jackson. It is tucked up in the woods but close to town and also has hiking right from the cabin. It has everything we needed and the outdoor shower was amazing!

This place was even more than I expected. One of my favorite trips I've taken in NH. George was very helpful and had great suggestions. The house has so much detail and is absolutely beautiful. It's very secluded and was exactly what i was looking for and more. I would love to go back.

We spent our 2020 Christmas week up at Thistle rock since we were unable to be with family due to covid. It has such a special place in our hearts after that week. Just perfection. George was amazing with all his recommendations for our adventures right out the door for our family. Sledding, hiking, snowshoeing, cutting our own xmas tree in the woods and decorating it, and just enjoying the tranquility of this incredible house and location. So close to everything but yet you felt so separated from the world. We can’t wait to come back to thistle rock again!!
