La casa si trova alla fine dell'isola detta Crabtree Point. Si trova a circa 10-15 minuti di auto dalla città di North Haven dove si lascia il traghetto. Potresti non voler lasciare la proprietà, ma se lo fai, l'isola 3 x 9 miglia vanta splendide viste in tutte le direzioni.
Anche se agosto è un mese popolare, giugno e luglio sono assolutamente mozzafiato su North Haven. Il clima è caldo e fiori selvatici sono in fiore ovunque si guardi. Settembre e ottobre conservano il calore dell'estate ma l'isola diventa più tranquilla. North Haven rimane un posto meraviglioso per rilassarsi, godersi la natura e fare esattamente ciò che si vuole fare con i vostri giorni e le notti. Vivete una vacanza davvero rilassante in una delle più belle, conservato e private località del Maine.
Il traghetto stato del Maine fa tre viaggi di un'ora da e per Rockland quotidiano. Auto sono consentiti a bordo del traghetto.

Where to begin--without saying indescribable. First there are the magnificent views across Penobscot Bay, northeast to the hills that rise behind Camden, southwest to open ocean. Then there are the walks through wildflower meadows, through fragrant stands of tall firs and along pristine rocky beaches --- all without leaving the property. There is the home itself, beautifully appointed, and set among vibrant gardens and artistic granite stonework. And finally there is the serenity that pervades the property, in glittering sunlight and even more in mist and fog. In sum: a dream vacation retreat.

I spent 4 wonderful days at Crabtree Cottage in August 2014. It is an idyllic setting and home, and an escape from the hustle and bustle. Growing up, I spent summers in the Adirondacks, and North Haven reminded me of my childhood a little bit. I loved getting up early and taking my coffee and book to the chairs set out on one of the Points. There are trails throughout the property for walking or running. The 2 terraces are great for relaxing and watching the boat traffic pass by. It was a very relaxing, fun trip and I can't wait to return in August 2015!

My family vacationed here in July.The house is so much more then the pictures show. It is big, comfortable and beautiful.There are 2 outside kitchens.We had lobster delivered right to the front door.Veiws are stunning.The kids loved the pool.I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.
