Really enjoyed letting my toddler walk around on the deck without worrying too much for his safety! We loved seeing the seals in the harbor. Overall a great spot.

Vashon is a great escape from city life, and this cabin is the cream. You can see bald eagles, herons, otters, seals and deer while enjoying evening sun and watching the boats going past while enjoying a good book. There are many hikes around. Don't miss the story trail in the Burton Woods.

Home had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Views and deck are incredible! Loved the selection of games and old school CD player. We were charmed by Vashon Island as well.

So peaceful, with the ever-changing water and otters, eagles, and various other birds right outside our lovely big windows. House is fully equipped for cooking, but many good take out options nearby. Spent a week hiking around the islands, playing table top games and reading in the house, with one easy day trip to Seattle. Lovely! Only thing I’d tell my past self is to arrive off the ferry with plenty of time to drive before dark - the directions are perfect, but driving around the island in the dark is a little harrowing for our party of city-dwellers.

This is a beautiful location for this comfortable cabin. The kitchen is well stocked and the deck is large. Lots of games, books, and DVD's for rainy days. The best part, besides the view, was the frequent bald eagle sightings!

Compact, comfortable, light-filled, unpretentious, on quiet Quartermaster Harbor. We'd go again.

Perfect getaway for the family to unwind and relax. Cute cozy cabin with amazing views. We'd definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay!! We were here for my husband’s birthday and wanted some us time. Cabin and property was wonderful as was the amenities. The only suggestion we would give for the place would be, turn the heat on when you know people are coming. We went in December and it was snowing….walked in and the heat was completely off! The place was freezing and it took the evening to heat up. We were adults so we delt with it….but if we had our child with is it would have been a different story.

Great rental for rest and relaxation over Thanksgiving weekend. Rustic cabin but impeccably clean and well-stocked. We loved making a fire - it was chilly and this heated the entire place quickly. Stop for firewood before you drive to the Kingfisher cabin at the hardware store or at roadside stops. Our adult children joined us for Thanksgiving dinner and we had everything we needed to roast our turkey and prepare everything else. There is no need to stop for groceries before boarding the ferry - the Thriftway grocery is excellent and well-stocked. Plenty of turkeys the day before Thanksgiving and they weren't out of a single thing that was on my shopping list. Speaking of the ferry, my tips are don't worry about the online schedule, just get in line, and try to avoid rush hour or you may be waiting for a second ferry. It really didn't seem to run on time at any point during our stay. But the good news is, there's always another one on the way. We had Thai food at May's Kitchen - excellent quality Thai food. Small place, you might need a reservation, we sat at the bar and it was just fine. Also had a great breakfast at Sporty's. Owner was quick to communicate - we highly recommend this rental and will try to rent it again when we return to visit our kids.

This cabin was wonderful for our family gathering. The great room with amazing water views was perfect to be able to cook, eat, visit and relax together. A peaceful and serene setting where the cabin is located, I highly recommend a getaway here.

If you’re looking to get away from it all and experience the abundance of nature right from the amazing deck, then this is it! Rustic, yet well appointed, this had all we needed. The beds were comfy, the fireplace warmed the entire cabin and we spent hours on the deck playing games, seal, boat and bird watching - truly a mental reset and just what we needed! Only minor issue was an ant invasion that started in the kitchen, then we noticed them a few days later in the bedroom we were sleeping in. Guess it’s been an issue for the island as a whole, and face it, we’re in the woods! Owner was super quick to respond and provided any traps and advice on how to manage (Method cleaner kills on contact & do not squish or it will signal the colony to split up and find another place to pop up). Within a couple days it was well under control and we cooked and slept just fine. The entire week was overall amazing and would come back again!

Wonderful stay. Perfect place to have a relaxing weekend and what a view. Will certainly return and as a Brit the electric kettle was wonderful.

The property itself is perfectly sized and well stocked with games, movies, and books. The kitchen has all the supplies you need for cooking up something wonderful, and the bathroom does have a hairdryer. It does get chilly at night so pack slippers for walking around. The heater in our bedrooms works very well and quickly warmed my space. I had a great week with mom. Also there’s many farms around so I highly recommend getting fresh eggs!
