We absolutely loved the cabin and the location! The floor to ceiling windows were perfect for the view.

The cabin was clean and nice. The bed on the main floor should be bigger. Never even went upstairs due to how narrow the stairs were. As bigger people we were limited to the main floor where the bed was a full. My husband slept in the recliner most of the time. The hot tub on the lower deck was inconvenient and the outside stairs to get to it sucked. Both the hot tub and the stairs to it should be covered. Or not have a hot tub. Also if that was a game room in the basement and it was locked off that was not cool. Last would have liked a washer and dryer to clean our clothes and towels from the hot tub.

We loved the layout of the house and how private it was. The neighbors rooster was very entertaining

This cabin was luxurious without too much frill, comfortable, secluded, accurate to the listing and on a stunning location. Communication with the host was swift and we were even easily able to extend our stay.

If I knew about the insanely steep gravel road to even get to the cabin, would’ve never booked it. Let alone, if I didn’t have a big 4wd truck, you’d never make it. It was raining all weekend, and the gravel road was incredibly difficult to get up in 4wd. Place was nice, but wouldn’t stay again unfortunately

To begin with, overall the stay was very enjoyable. After reading several reviews we were not sure what to expect especially arriving after dark. To be honest, it was like driving to any other mountain cabin we’ve been too. Yes the driveway is steep. We have an AWD and never had an issue.
When we arrived, there is a street light right outside the cabin which was helpful and access was very simple, a lockbox outside the door. The only trouble was where to park, but we managed to squeeze the car in a space near the front door to allow the neighbor higher up the mountain to pass.
Again, after reading several reviews, we brought extra blankets, towels, pillows and a hair dryer, which were all necessary. The cabin was clean and I completely understand the house keepers only clean what they are paid for.Overall it was very clean but is in need of a deep clean.
The bed on the main floor could use some TLC, either being turned or replaced. We’re used to a king and this is a queen which is fine however, both my husband and I kept rolling to the middle because of a huge dip in the mattress.
The hot tub was amazing and the view stunning, yes, I know, wait for it, there were trees in the view, but it was still amazing. Yes, there is one neighbor with a rooster but he only crows in the morning, and not loud.
Cosby is just far enough away from the tourist area to be very peaceful.
My review had to be shortened due to the character limit.

I liked the cabin as it was cozy, had ample cooking utensils and was quiet. I also liked the outdoor fireplace. The gravel road was intimidating to say the least. They should recommend a 4x4 or all wheel drive car with a higher ground clearance. Also maybe get a gas grill instead of the charcoal grill as it is probably safer and you would not have to worry about burning embers escaping. The neighbors rooster was not really an issue as we could barely hear it. Otherwise we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed it!

Inside the cabin was pretty close to the pic's shown.
It was very cozy and cute. We enjoyed the fireplace, and the heat it blew out.
However, there was NO view of anything outside the house but trees and brush almost growing into the cabin.
Getting up to the cabin was a challenge. If we had not had front wheel drive, we would not have made it to the top. It's a winding, steep, gravel road. I certainly will not stay there again! And last but not least, if you don't get to there before dark, you will be out of luck finding it until daylight. We had problems finding it in the daytime.

Arrived after dark...our bad! That final ascent was thrilling! Morning brought the wonderful view. Special thanks to the mountain's rooster...the true Songbird. Learned the last nite to use the TV remotes...oh well. BUT we had a great time and enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the cabin above Costner Rd. Thanks and hope to visit again. We were so refreshed.

The cabin and location is beautiful. The driveway is really rough. The gravel part. I would not recommend unless you have a SUV or 4x4. A small car will not make it. There was no extra blankets just the ones on the bed. Overall the stay was very nice. Cabin is secluded with a mountain view. There are homes around you but far enough away. One of the neighbors does have a rooster that woke us up at 4:30am every morning :)

The pictures are extremely outdated and frankly, they were the only reason I booked this place, thinking we could relax in the hot tub and look out to the mountains. You can only see the mountains from the upstairs balcony and that will soon be covered by over grown trees like the other balcony views.
*There was no hair dryer and only 1 extra blanket. That blanket smelled like a wet dog.
There is no washer/dryer or I would've washed the blanket myself as well as the very sour smelling kitchen towels. We also tried using the oven but it was started smoking so I turned it off.
The driveway up to the cabin is definitely problematic but do-able. If your car has traction control (like my 4 door sedan), speed is your best friend in conquering that beast.
All in all, the cabin itself is decent enough but we won't book here again.

The cabin was very hard to get to the listing should’ve said must take 4 x 4, our car bottom out twice so we ended up staying in the cabin instead of going out sightseeing because in fear of damaging our vehicle, the spiral staircase is only 15 inches across so we had to shimmy around it to get upstairs to the top level There are no views because the trees of all grown over there is nothing accessible from the inside. You have to go outside to go to the front porch outside and down along stairway to get to the hot tub and there are no views because everything is grown over I would not come back here again. this cabin can be a really nice the owners need to trim down those trees , oh and the upstairs bathroom the door is only 18 inches wide. Did little people live here?

The cabin was beautiful and cabin location was perfect. Close to activities but far enough to be peaceful. Views were fantastic.

We had an amazing time at the cabin! Enjoyed the interesting ride up the driveway, the peaceful cabin, fireplaces, hot tubs, great views, the rooster in the morning (not very often you get to hear that in life) and the hummingbirds/nature. We didn't see any bears though but maybe next time!

We drove from Knoxville for a 3-night stay, primarily for hiking. The cabin and location was great for the three of us but anyone visiting should be aware of the uphill climb on loose gravel required to access it. Also, is it common to not provide any bath soap? Coffee would have been appreciated as well, especially since a trip to purchase some would have us white-knuckling it up that gravel road once again.

Loved the views nice cabin needs a new recliner..needs a deep cleaning..

It is a nice cabin overall. Unfortunately, the trees have overgrown since the original photos were taken for this listing. The first bedroom with the queen bed does not have a view of the mountains but rather overgrown trees. The upstairs bedroom is a loft that has been converted into a bedroom. The view from the upstairs bedroom is beautiful. There is a yellow jackets near near the parking area. The cleanliness was okay. Only complaint for cleanliness was that there were a few towels that had old stains and we also kept finding fake fingernails on the ground.

We are older and could not use the spiral staircase to get to the best view on the top floor. The staircase was not shown on any of the pictures of the cabin. The cabin was clean and well stocked but we couldn’t find the ice maker or ice trays. Really enjoyed the outside fireplace and the solitude…extremely secluded which was wonderful. No washer and dryer which would be something we would recommend.

The property was as pictured. It was a beautiful location and a nice cabin. My only complaints would be the road which is in every other review (not a problem because I have a 4wd truck) and that pest control had not been out in a minute. My son got stung by a hornet because he touched the chicken on the back porch which had a nest in it.

Cute, quiet cabin, surrounded by woods. Nice, enjoyable stay.

Careful and observant is what i can say most of öur stay was the mountain was a Lil scary coming up at night and because of the bears we didn't get a chance to bears the hot tub because it was öutside on the bottom deck where we had to go outside to get to it"scary" we also was scared to take öur pets outside at night to toilet them because it was so dark..... and being s pretty friendly cabin it didn't have s mop but we bought one and left it, other than that we loved the cabin inside and out we were just very careful when we went out at night. We would stay there again. Thanks it did accommodate me fit the price we paid we even stayed an extra night.

The cabin offers some beautiful views of the mountain on the top floor. However, access to the top floor is very limited since the staircase is very narrow. Also, cleaning supplies are very limited so bring your own. I would recommend having access to a washer and dryer, to freshen up the towels and sheets for long stays. Finally, the path to get to the cabin is quite treacherous and not for those afraid of heights or curves. I would definitely mention the conditions of the road in the details portion. We made sure to be home every night before dark since there are no lights on the road.

Property is secluded, private. There is a cabin above and below this one but not visible to each other. The sunrise over the Smokey Mountains from the bedroom window was stunning! Every morning - stunning. Nice hot tub. Spent a lot of time in rockers on front porch where the outdoor fireplace is. So peaceful! Only one negative - the gravel road to the cabin. We were in a 4 door sedan and made it up and down several times, it's doable, just a pain. Recommend having it paved or pack down the gravel. Again, it was manageable in our 4 door sedan, so don't let that deter you from this amazing, beautiful, peaceful cabin!

We enjoyed our stay. Outside could use a little TLC. Pictures online were a little too nice compared to actual conditions. Other reviews mentioned the rooster crowing at 5AM and that the drive up the hill was a bit challenging. Both true for our experience. The cabin was peaceful, the view off the top deck was fantastic, and we would have no issues returning in the future.

We absolutely loved this cabin! So unique! 2 balconies, a hot tub, a jacuzzi in the loft up the spiral staircase. A small yard to walk your pup in! Also a deck out front and back where the hot tub is! The front porch is fenced for your pup as well. The cabin was clean and perfect location. Very secluded with neighbors being down and up the mountain but not on top of you. Only about 20 mins from Gatlinburg! You have to go to Anakeesta and the night show there as well it's so worth the money and a great experience. The owner of the cabin was a great host with fast response time. Both beds were very comfy and clean. We will definitely be returning ! We had an amazing anniversary of 8 years 😊 I will warn you there is a pack of dogs running loose from the bottom of the mountain, but they won't come too close. Just a heads up! The kitchen is beautiful and the decor is nice as well! Very pleased 😄 sometimes you get Catfished on VRBO and we def did not this time! It is a bit smaller in person ,but still big enough to fit 4-5 adults and it was just my hubby and myself this trip. Perfect!

The cabin and views were beautiful. A short drive to pigeon river where we did white water rafting. The hot tub was perfect for enjoying the cool morning and coffee. We even enjoyed the rooster wake up call every morning! Great getaway

The house was cute with a fun layout and all the advertised amenities. The big selling point for us was the space. These cabins usually have a nice mountain view in one direction but have neighbors only a few hundred feet down the road. There were other houses around but, other than a peek of one rooftop, a few cars driving past on their way further up the mountain, the occasional barking dog and a rather insistent rooster, you wouldn't know anyone else was around.
Some quirks to be aware of:
The access road is partly gravel and steep and windy in some places. It wasn't bad, but bring an appropriate vehicle.
The owners are not kidding when they warn that the internet is not reliable. Sometimes it was ok, but there were big chunks of the day when even basic browsing was slow and streaming anything was impossible. Come prepared with pre-downloaded videos or DVDs if that matters to you.
Hot tub access is via a flight of stairs on an outside porch. It was fine for us but some people might not like it. The more natural exit would have been through the lower level but that is sealed off to use for storage.
The stairs to this sealed level are the first thing you see when you come through the front door and take up a big chunk of the dining room, which does create a weird impression at first. The owner is up front about this in the listing so it's hard to be too critical.
Some furniture, including the master bed, is worn enough that it should probably be replaced.

Beautiful property, stayed here for my honeymoon and enjoyed how peaceful and secluded the home was. Yes the driveway leading up is a challenge but my Nissan Altima could handle it so don’t be deterred, it was the most relaxing vacation I think I’ve ever had.

Great cabin for couples or small family. Description as described. Amazing views and very peaceful surroundings. Great amenities. Highly recommend.

There isn’t a description that you need a 4x4 to get up to the property. I drove an hour and a half in my car and had to go most of the way back home just to get a truck because I got stuck. Even in the truck we got stuck for a minute and had to switch to 4x4z there is way too much gravel. So if you don’t have a truck/SUV without 4x4 you may want to reconsider. I couldn’t get in contact with anyone while my car was stuck so I had to decide to drive all the way back. Also in the email of information it was included that there is a washer but to bring your own supplies, to find out there is nothing available. The home is decent and a nice get away for a couple or 2.

The drive and path to get to the cabin really threw us off, but it was manageable. The cabin overall was absolutely beautiful and the views were definitely worth the hike up. I asked the owner for local recommendations, and they were very responsive which I appreciated.

Great cabin, the steps going upstairs is small. The kitchen is well stocked with items needed for cooking. The hill getting up to the property is steep and narrow. The view is beautiful from both balconies but the best one is from the upper balcony. It's only 30 minutes from Gatlinburg, its a straight shot.

The cabin itself is beautiful. Very secluded but it can be challenging to get up the mountain to it. The neighborhood around the cabin is a little rough but everyone was friendly!

There is many negative things about this house. First the house was filthy with inches of dust on every surface! The poor bear on fireplace was white from all the dust. Walls had dust in corners and on the wood planks. The counter tops had so much dust we had to bleach wipe them down before we used them. The tub was nasty and I was not scrubbing a tub that wasn't mine. I had several asthma attacks when in this house that led to me going to urgent care. The hill to house was very dangerous unless you have a truck you won't make it up. Beware of this house you will be physically sick from the amount of dust. Hire a new cleaning crew cause the one you have isn't doing their job!!

The road getting up to the cabin was very rough and only seeemed as one person could be on it at a time so it made me nervous but we survived.. Very quiet during the day The trash can lid was broke so we had to be careful with that, i accidently ripped the shower liner as it was paper thin but i replaced it as i felt bad ..We took our germain shephard with us and she seemed to feel at home ....All in all it was an ok place to stay.

This was a great location. We really enjoyed the stay. Very clean and listing is accurate. The only thing I’d add is that the road/driveway is pretty rough and borderline not suitable for a car especially if it’s low. We had a truck thankfully.
