We have stayed at so many places and always disappointed! BUT THIS STAY was impressive!
Very clean!!! And the beach is a few steps away!!
The only thing that could be charged would be the tv. We had a 2 yr old with autism and she wanted to hit the tv with items. Other then that it was a beautiful stay. Thank you so much!! Definitely recommend this stay to others!

Private beach was great, friendly, secure neighborhood, clean, light, airy atmosphere in the home, pretty decorations, paintings, floor and wall colors, nice kitchen, happy surprise 3rd bathroom. The 4th bedroom was more like a 2nd living room with 2 twin beds on one side, nice, but not private, lots of covered parking, loved the outdoor shower and the ramp, as well as, a great staircase. Outdoor balconies had several nice seating areas, and 2 gates that closed nicely. The kitchen dishes and pans were very nice quality.
One drawback.. the outdoor grills were too dirty to use, so we changed our menu.
Stores and gas very closeby. The ac was great .. nice and cold in July! Seating areas were comfortably and plentiful for our large family of 13!

Overall for a family the property needs some updates, and some simple maintenance touch-ups. The stairs up to the front door have nails sticking out everywhere need to be hammered back in. There were loose spindles on the deck which my 3-year-old granddaughter stuck her head through very frightening. Ceiling fan in the kitchen does not work ceiling fan in fourth bedroom had no blades. Coffee pot was nice but only had a two cup coffee pot so first day coffee got spilled everywhere need a new coffee pot. The blender only had the base no top part for blending. Ice maker in the refrigerator doesn't work had to go buy ice twice a day. The sofa bed in the living room with disgusting I'll attach pictures no one would sleep on it so had to go buy an air mattress for the bedding. There were two grills for cooking both were unusable completely destroyed rusted out. The patio had lots of paint equipment and paint buckets scattered everywhere very inconvenient had to watch my twins constantly getting into that stuff. Master bedroom doesn't have knobs on the doors you have to pry the doors open and close. Think with some simple updates and a little bit of care the place would get five stars. But unfortunately with the inconveniences of simple things like no coffee maker no blender ceiling fans not working just a little aggravating. If these things were updated it would make all the difference in this property.

The house was clean! The host made it easy to check in and check out. He assisted us with a couple of questions during and after our stay and responded in a timely manner. You can see the beach and hear the waves from the balcony. The house is just a quick walk down a paved road right down from the beach- we used a wagon to make our walk to the beach a bit easier. The kitchen came equipped with what we needed. Dryer and washer available too. We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. We do recommend bringing your own pillows. We look forward to booking this home for our future Galveston stays.

We had a blast in the property. The property is so close to the beach we walked it everyday with all our stuff and it was no issue at all. Beach and the house were very clean and in a very nice location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The house size and cleanliness of the house and property were great. The master bedroom lacked privacy due to double doors not completely closing. The master bathtub would not hold water. When we arrived we had little to no hot water and called the manager who promptly booked a repair guy. However, the repair guy could not show up until the day we left. When the repair guy showed up, the manager informed us we had called for no reason, that the hot water heater was working just fine. I felt like he thought we had not been truthful when reporting the issue. Also, if you need black out curtains to sleep, this is NOT the place for you. All curtains were shears which allowed you to enjoy the beautiful views. We could never get the back tv to connect to the cable service, so we just all shared the main tv. I still gave the stay a four overall, such a great location and large house to accommodate us all. We would stay again.

The location is great, close to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The 4th bedroom isn’t a bedroom so I wish I had read reviews prior to booking. The house needs some attention and a deep cleaning. (the rust and general wear make it look dirtier than it is). The bbq grills are filthy and unusable. When we got there, the tvs weren’t working so I called the contact on my email and was told I could call AT&T myself to figure it out. They require a PIN which I didn’t have so we just didn’t have tv during our stay. It was only a problem when a couple of our group wanted to watch football so they went out. The patio under the house looks like they just leave everything left by previous tenants and there was trash in the lawn. The outdoor shower is ok for washing off sand but I didn’t want to spend much time in there, it is rusty and dirty. Most of the pots and pans look ancient and can’t be cleaned, they are black with baked on crud. And like I’ve seen on other reviews, no paper products or dish soap is provided. I don’t want to make it sound awful, it worked for us, it just isn’t what was advertised. We enjoyed the deck and the view!

We had a great trip! The property was located so close to the beach and our group had a great time. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the balcony and days at the beach. Great place to stay and the owner is very responsive. No problems at all.

The location can’t be beat. Quiet, close to beach, easy to get to. Fantastic.
The house layout is a bit quirky, but it works.
The only negative was the lack of obvious essentials. There were 7 of us for 3 days. The house was equipped with two almost empty rolls of toilet paper, no hand soap, one tab of dishwasher detergent and 1 kitchen trash bag. It was a little annoying to have to go buy these basics supplies, but not the end of the world.

The owner did call back when needed, nice enough gentleman. Two weeks prior to our stay, the hurricane hit the area with some wind so a little exterior issue here and there was not unexpected. However, the floors are popping up inside, many dead bugs were found due to the exterminator coming previously and nobody had been to the place in a few weeks to check on it, and the building just was outdated and older. Overall the stay was fine, just not as nice as the photos. Additionally, the mosquitos in the area were the worst I have ever experienced.

This house is a cute as it is in the pictures! We loved how close we were to the beach and went back and forth often. The outdoor shower was so convenient. I even enjoyed that it was outside of the busyness of Galveston and found the drive to be a nice one.

We enjoyed our stay very much. There was an issue with the shower leaking, but that was fixed right away and did not impact our visit. Perfect location and lots of room for our group to spread out. Thanks so much!

Had a marvelous week at this sweet beach cottage. Views and sounds of the surf were amazing. We ate every meal (home cooked in the well appointed kitchen) on the balcony .... the breeze was nice even on a hot day. The ramp was handy for our disabled family members and tiny pets. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations, keep looking. This vintage beach retreat was all we were hoping for and more as we reconnected with one another. Thank you, Charles, for a memorable vacation during a weird and uncertain time in our country’s history.

The house is listed as a 4 bedroom but it is not a true 4 bedroom as others have noted. One bedroom with bath on one side of the house. Other side has a second living room with two bedrooms off it. This living room has two beds in it, great for extra sleeping but you can’t leave those two bedrooms without walking past the extra beds. None of the bedrooms have proper blinds or curtains on them which is so strange to me. Every morning our kids were up with the sun because it’s SO bright everywhere. Not ideal for a relaxing holiday where you’d prefer your kids to sleep in.
The kitchen has everything you’d need including every old pot and rusty pair of scissors the house has ever seen. Very hard to find anything. A simple clean out and organization would help the functionality of this kitchen immensely.

The kitchen counters were cleaned but everything else was dirty eg: the fridge has spills everywhere inside. We had to go buy cleaning supplies because I couldn’t bare my kids or I touching anything. The really terrible part was the dust. This property looks like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in months. The thick dust was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Book shelves, mirrors, lamps, cabinets with thick dust, the photos are disgusting.
I’ve never rated a property 1 start before but this is unacceptable. I can’t in good conscience give any higher, especially during COVID. The property owner was very quick to respond and was very apologetic but in reading the other reviews he obviously hasn’t taken this to heart. I was told they had new cleaners and are hoping they will get better but you can not rent out a house like this. He offered for the cleaners to come back but she couldn’t for two days but by then I had cleaned myself. Also offered to pay for the supplies which is kind but beside the point. A proper cleaning would make the world of difference here.

Had a marvelous week at this sweet beach cottage. Views and sounds of the surf were amazing. We ate every meal (home cooked in the well appointed kitchen) on the balcony .... the breeze was nice even on a hot day. The ramp was handy for our disabled family members and tiny pets. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations, keep looking. This vintage beach retreat was all we were hoping for and more as we reconnected with one another. Thank you, Charles, for a memorable vacation during a weird and uncertain time in our country’s history.

I’ve never rated a property 1 start before but this is unacceptable. I can’t in good conscience give any higher, especially during COVID. The property owner was very quick to respond and was very apologetic but in reading the other reviews he obviously hasn’t taken this to heart. I was told they had new cleaners and are hoping they will get better but you can not rent out a house like this. He offered for the cleaners to come back but she couldn’t for two days but by then I had cleaned myself. Also offered to pay for the supplies which is kind but beside the point. A proper cleaning would make the world of difference here.

The house is a little older but was nice. The inside has been redone and was cleaned well. We didn't find the clean water hose are to wash of sand until the last day and had to dust our stuff outside. Very nice location for the price. You can see the ocean from on entire side of the deck and there is nice furniture to utilize there as well.

We arrived to find the outside area littered with trash, filthy stagnate water rotting in a large toy underneath the staircase to the deck and two railing posts were missing from the deck which created a major safety issue for the children in our party. We were greeted by a very large dying roach as we entered the kitchen and upon further exploration located several other dead roaches throughout. We took many photographs which identify a level of build-up reflecting that this home has not been properly cleaned in months. The window sills in the kitchen, the range hood, corners, door ways, floorboards, and walls were caked with grime and coated in spilled liquids and food. There were existing piles of sand underneath a recliner in the living room and clumps of dust tumbling around the floors. We pulled an old dog bone, a wadded up paper plate, and an entire bowl of cereal out from underneath the couches - not to mention the several different types of food present under the couch cushions. The grill made available to us was unhealthily unsuitable for use and while we were resigned to broiling the steaks we’d intended to grill, we were still unable to do so because there was no top for the broiler pan. Our immediate attempt to contact the Local Property Manager went unanswered for 5 hours and when she finally called us back, she was extremely rude and condescending. Fortunately, the property owners were actually in the area and would help. They brought us brand new towels to wash and use for the remainder of our stay and addressed the safety issue on the deck with assistance from my husband. Two days into our stay we discovered the ice maker and one of the air conditioners had stopped working. We reported these issues directly to the owners who had the AC up and running the next day and we agreed we’d just buy ice. Finally, this home is misrepresented as having 4 Bedrooms. While there are definitely 4 rooms with beds in them, this is absolutely not a 4 Bedroom home. This is a 3 Bedroom home with additional sleeping accommodations in common areas. Had we known that our guests would be sleeping in a common area where no privacy could be afforded, instead of a bedroom, we would have selected a different rental from the hundreds that are available in Galveston. We reported our concerns directly to the property owners who agreed to waive the Cleaning Fee, but no reparation has been made for the conditions, disruptions or inconveniences we endured.

Home Away from Home
We took 15 family members to the beach for a week and had a great time. The house was so close to the beach and the view from the deck and was perfect. We felt like we were at home. Thanks Sandra for your assistance!

Great beach house for family vacation and great location
This house was close to the beach and reasonably close to town. We had a great week long family vacation with kids ages ranging from 13-23. The house was clean, had a great living room and an additional den type area where the kids hung out. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked alot. There is a great washer and dryer which we used. The walk to the beach was easy and the beach was great! We really enjoyed our stay here!

No Wifi and Broken AC
The house was very cute and accommodated 15 people quite nicely. However, the Wifi wasn't working and never got fixed during our three night stay. This also apparently affected the television in the back part of the house - so no television for the kids and no Wifi for the kids. Conversations with the property manager yielded no results even though Sandra was very nice and apologetic. Could have been storm related. Not a huge deal, but...
The first night we noticed the metal bunk bed in the bunk room was wobbly so we took the mattress from the top bunk and put it on the floor. Plan B worked fine (but would suggest tightening up the fasteners before letting anyone actually sleep on the top bunk).
The first night everyone was comfortable but the AC in the back of the house froze up. As a result, the second day AC techs turned off the AC and turned on the "fan." The second night ended up with temperatures hovering around 80 degrees in the back of the house where 10 people were staying. Several folks ended up feeling pretty bad, and a couple got sick. In the meantime folks in the front of the house were freezing in an attempt to cool the back of the house with air from the front of the house. Unfortunately, we could not locate spare blankets or linens anywhere (or very many extra towels for that matter) to cover up with. To compensate for the heat in the back we purchased a fan from Wally World to put in the bunk room. The next day the AC was turned back on and the third night was much more comfortable.
Also, hate to be nit-picky, but the toaster only worked when you held down the lever (made for labor intensive bagels LOL!), and the recliners would not recline all the way back. Strange, but true.
The location was great and redeemed the trip overall. Everyone was very happy with the beach being just a few feet from the house and enjoyed the trip mostly. As my daughter said, it was either "awesome" or "awful".

Nice location & View
Beautiful view and ease of access to beach. Close drive to strip. Decently well stocked with beach items. This house needs some updates to guest bathroom and deep cleaning/dusting throughout. You don’t get a contact to an actual property manager but a cleaning staff instead. Due to this we weren’t able to get checked in earlier or information on getting checked in earlier in a timely manner. The house is nice for a large family and works. The ramp up to the beach house was very useful! Toaster was broken, I’m sure this will get replaced. The bathrooms could use toilet plungers that have hidden compartments as they were unsightly and sitting out on bath mats. (Gross). Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great views easy access to beach
We loved it here. The house is so nice and had everything needed, just bring yourself and some food. The walk to the beach is so perfect and easy and this part of beach is nicer and less crowded than other parts of the island. We cant wait to stat here again.

Clean and spacious!!
Very nice and clean cabin. Perfect distance from the water. There is no driving on this part of the beach so it is a safe, family atmosphere. This cabin has everything you need. We had a great time!!

This beach house fit our family so well!
Beach2fun was great! It was very clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, is just 2 minutes to the beach, had a large family-room area that was great for kids and for playing games and cards. Having 3 of the 4 bedrooms in the back, away from the main area was especially great for earlier bedtimes for our younger grandkids. The large porch catches a great beach breeze and was so pleasant.

Awesome Beach House
This property was everything we wanted and more. Comfortable beds, plenty of couches and chairs, big refrigerator, roomy kitchen, 10+ lawn/patio chairs.
The boys enjoyed the two kayaks, we enjoyed the beach chairs on an uncrowded beach. The beach was close that hauling your coolers and stuff was a breeze.
Internet always had a strong signal. Having TV's were nice. But we did not use much.
Owner was always very responsive to our questions and very helpful.
We plan on going back.
