This property is absolutely perfect for a getaway. Take a truck, a low sitting car will struggle to get up the driveway. The cabin is perfect, great views, close proximity to town and great shops, all around perfect place to stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a getaway.

We really enjoyed our 1-night stay. Clean cabin and good communication with property manager. Negatives: the view is no where close to 180 degrees; maybe 25%. Also, the view is more north, so no sunset. We went to Brow Park for an excellent sunset experience

Top of the Rock is a beautifully decorated small cabin perfect for two people for a romantic getaway! Tony was excellent to work with and we would certainly consider going back. Just a short drive to both Mentone & Ft. Payne. 5 stars!

Kitchen could use more basic supplies as in measuring utensils and hand towels, and as others have mentioned, the driveway could be a challenge for lower riding vehicles.
Mentone was a bit disappointing for this Labor Day weekend, not sure what was up with that , we did go to DeSoto Falls and that was very nice. FYI, Vally Head and Hammondsville are dry cities. So BYOB as what is available is very limited in Mentone.

Our honeymoon stay was nothing short of GREAT! The photos of the property do the actual property no justice! The cabin is so clean, beautiful, the view is breath taking! Also, Tony was a pleasure to speak with. Gave great information and very pleasant. We will definitely be back, time and time again.

The driveway into the cabin was nearly impassable for a car. Apparently, the winter had caused major damage and the driveway needed major repair. Cabin was great. View was good. Tony was very helpful.

This is a very pretty, well appointed cabin located on the side of a mountain. It has a beautiful view of the valley below and adjacent mountains. There are no nearby cabins, so complete privacy. Everything in the cabin was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Located within 10 or 15 minutes of great restaurants and local shops.

We had the greatest experience staying at “Top of the Rock.” Our first trip to Fort Payne/Mentone and it could not have been better. The cabin had all the necessities and then some. A gorgeous view, comfortable bed, and very spacious for the 2 of us.
I highly recommend eating at The Hatter, The Wildflower, and FC Weiss Pub. Also stop by the General Store and definitely don’t miss a horseback ride to Desoto Falls with Shady Grove Dude Ranch.
We are already talking about going back in the spring, and will absolutely book with Tony again!

Cozy, nice view, clean, lovely drive to Chat. if you stay up on the mountain. The final twist in the driveway has a couple holes others mentioned. If you had a flat bottomed car it might scrape. Otherwise, it's just fine for the vast majority of cars. It's not steep. Also, there's a 5-10 minute short walk on an unkept but easy and flat trail from the back stairs (by the grill) straight on the ridge to a little creek, which you can hear from the cabin. Tony is great to deal with and reasonable. Bring wood for fire if you want, but be sure you know how to light and manage a small fire in a smaller fireplace before lighting one

Driveway up to the rental was almost dangerous-low car would NOT have made it.
Gravel path from driveway to entrance was unusable for rolling suitcase.
Ladder in the middle of bedroom should have been removed.
Very small TV in an awkward spot on the wall.

This home is in a beautiful location. The state park is a couple minutes away with waterfalls and beautiful trails. There are many restaurants in the area. The home is beautiful and clean, there is a beautiful bird that comes and knocks on the window in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was one of the easiest experience in renting we’ve had in a long time. Tony, the property owner, was amazing! Really easy to talk to. Very informative of the area. We have every intention of exploring other properties here.
