I would not recommend this rental. We were constantly being disturbed because of the parking situation. The manager called numerous times to ask questions about the parking and asked to re-park our car (even though we had always parked our car in the designated spot). Mostly it was just incredibly dirty- specifically, dusty, moldy and smelling of mildew. Not sure what the other reviewers were talking about, this place needs some serious work and at the least a deep cleaning. There was mold growing on the baseboards and on the vent in the bathroom. The layer of dust on the baseboards suggested that it had not been deep cleaned in months. Also, the mildew smell was so bad that we actually went out to buy candles to try and cover up the smell. Additionally, the shower head was leaking and the shower control knob/handle was falling off the wall. Felt like the place has not been updated in decades. Some other issues included the AC barely being able to keep up (it never turned off & we followed his directions to leave it at 73°), the kitchen lacking in supplies, the towels being stored right next to plunger, and all the blinds being broken. The only redeemable qualities were the price and location. However, still not worth it. Would never stay here again.

The property was exactly as advertised. Right on the beach. You can't neat the location. The unit is great for 2 people. Read the description though. I am 6'5 and the ceiling height is 6'2. I hit my head several times but the view is worth it.

Parking was a problem as spaces were not big enough. Street appeal zero. Great beach view. Bathroom had sewer smell. Otherwise, condo was clean & well furnished. Pool is between 2 buildings & is not more than oversized bathtub.

We enjoyed our stay! A family of 3- we wanted a place on the beach, with a pool. The pool was very, very small. We were shocked by this, but our 5 year old loved it. The condo was decent. It was clean but a few things that got our attention. There was no spatulas, rubber scraper, limited cooking utensils. The blender was cracked. The extra towels were stored under the sink in the bathroom next to the plunger. Yuck! We did have issues with the tv/internet and washer:dryer. Frank was helpful with all concerns that we addressed with him. We were shocked by the low ceilings/doorways. All in all we had a good time, unfortunately I would not recommend the unit we rented for anyone over 5’10!

We have stayed at this location for 3 different visits and love the location.

This unit is right on the beach which is it's major plus! It is small but not too small for just my husband and I. I give the review a 4 out of 5 stars because I feel there is always a bit of room for improvement in everything BUT we are returning for our third season in 2020 :-)

Great location! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful beach with everything you could need in the condo. A little hiccup due to a new housekeeper but the owner was very quick to handle. We met the housekeeper who was quite nice and professional. We will plan to stay again.

When we arrived the place we reserved was in such bad condition we contacted the owner. Mold on the base boards, foul moldy smell. Dirty overall. He put us on another unit, same awful moldy smell, two air conditioning units, one wall unit very loud and you could see a gap in between the unit and the wall. Another standing unit that blew out heat in the back and cool air in the front. Dirty floors, dirty walls and doors. Some kind of animal droppings on the window sill next to the stove. Loud whistling noise coming from the window even though it was shut and locked. Black garbage bags filled with sand next to your private patio, toys chairs all sorts of stuff under the stairs. Bed uncomfortable, very low ceilings. Some random group of people showed up Saturday night and used the apt we were originally supposed to stay in. Left their beer bottles, shot glasses and party favors in the sand and on the grill. The group was gone before sunrise. Pool is more like a large dirty hot tub.the only thing good about this place is that it’s on a beautiful beach. When we expressed our concerns to the owner Frank, he bullied us. told us to leave. I asked about what we paid HomeAway for our stay, how will we get that back he said we would get a refund from HomeAway but couldnt gaurantee when. We were stuck. Want to make sure no one else has to deal with a situation like this. This place is completely misrepresented on HomeAway. Good reviews must be either family or friends. This place should be condemned, it is that bad!

Just steps from the white sandy beach. Loved it so much we are coming again next year!

The location is what makes this property so ideal. To be able to simply walk out the door to the beautiful white sand beach is perfect. It was just my husband and I and so the size was just right too. The property was newly updated and very clean. We have already booked our return for next year.

The owner and staff were fabulous. We loved the location you close to everything. We will definitely go back!

We were return visitors as AMI is our favorite place to be and AG Casa Marina was nicely upgraded with new flooring and appliances. The rear courtyard, outdoor kitchen/grille area and pool were tastefully renovated. of course the beach, just ten steps away from our apartment, was the jewel. Thank You Frank for sharing your wonderful place.

First, the location lives up to the description. You have a beautiful ocean view from the apartment and a private patio with a table and chairs where you can see the ocean. There is a small communal private beach/yard (with the BBQ) about 30 feet deep, where you can eat or hang, or you can just walk across it to the main beach. I mention because the view includes the yard as well as the beach and ocean from there ground floor. The beach is gorgeous, and you can watch the sunset from your apt or out on the beach. It also wasn't crazy crowded. It's a good place to rent kayaks or paddle boards for the week since the water is very calm. The apartment is more charming than I expected from the photos. Stained pine ceilings, French doors, shutters and nice tile floors all add to the charm. The layout is more of a studio with a sun porch than a classic one bedroom, which was great for us as a family but good to know if someone needs more privacy. The kitchen is surprisingly well-appointed with appliances, including a blender and electric can opener. It's a bit light on mixing bowls and I didn't find any measuring cups/ spoons, so maybe not great if you want to cook an elaborate meal, but just fine for us. Valerie, the manager was very helpful and extremely friendly. At check-in, she says, "we're not trying to make everything perfect; it's the beach." So if you can roll with a few quirks, you'll be extremely happy. We also enjoyed the little pool, which was kept comfortably warm. They could do more with the pool ambiance, but then, the main attraction is the beach. All in all, we loved our stay. The hard part is leaving!

My husband and I made our way to Anna Maria island for our 28th anniversary. We were both in need of some sun and R&R after a long winter. Apt. #3 provided just that! The weather was ideal and the little efficiency had everything we needed for a week away from it all. It was magical to be so close to the beach! We spent each night on the little patio after watching the beautiful sunsets. We will definitely be returning!

This is a great little place for a couple to spend some time right on the beach in Anna Maria. It is a downstairs unit, with the noted low ceilings, but is cozy. It is great that you can walk out the back door and be right on the beach, and the sunsets on the gulf are amazing. There is only parking for one vehicle, and if every unit is full, the parking is very tight, but workable. The kitchen has great new appliances for those cooking their own meals. The only inaccuracy in the listing was that there is only one flatscreen TV, and one "traditional" TV. The location makes it convenient to access from Cortez or Bradenton. Overall, I would recommend this property highly so long as the noted limitations are not of concern for the renters.

We spent two weeks at what is now our favorite spot on Anna Maria Island, Casa Marina. The owner continues to update the facilities with a large, public grilling facilities and attractive brick work. I am not going to mention which unit we stayed in, because we want it to be available when want it. But we had a great time--excellent weather, an interesting variety of guests from the US, England and Sweden, a wonderful view of the Gulf. We wish the owner would replace the uncomfortable futon in the front room, but all the rest is very functional.

We spent two delightful weeks at Casa Marina, a quirky but fun place on the Gulf beach. First the negatives. We stayed in Unit III, just the right size for the two of us, but the living room needs a better lighting and more comfortable seating. Otherwise the living space is well equipped and adequate. The pool is really too small to be useful and too cool to be swimable. The great advantage of Casa Marina is its location on the beach, but with a courtyard near the beach which on cool days blocks the wind, making it very comfortable. Each unit also has a private deck, not available on many places on the beach. This place allowed for meeting interesting people, for excursions to restaurants and museums, for reading a number of good books, and for visiting with good friends. This was our fifth year at Casa Marina.

I have recently returned from a 10 day stay at the AG Casa Marina property on Anna Maria Island. I can't begin to tell you what a magical place this is. The property has all updated appliances and counter tops. This unit is very clean and has that cute beach house feel. I love the location! You are a trolley ride from Publix, restaurants, excursions and marinas. This property is connected to four other units. This is a lower unit with a smaller view of the gulf, but still provides a gorgeous sunset with easy access to the beach. This property has a small plunge pool for a quick "cool off", but who needs a pool when you have an even bigger one on the other side. Our water temperature in the gulf averaged 80 or above. So beautiful and relaxing. The beach also provides sanctuaries for birds and turtles. We were able to see baby turtles hatch and return to the water during our stay. Priceless! Frank is a lovely man to work with and wants to make sure you're pleased with your stay. I will always come back. I love this condo and the "Old Florida Charm" of Anna Maria Island. Come on down, you will not be disappointed.
