We enjoyed staying right in Woodstock within walking distance of all the in-town stuff. The owners were great, providing a personalized welcome card and note and homemade cookies! The house was terrific and we had a wonderful experience. Especially loved the creek behind the house was beautiful.

This place is THE place to stay when visiting Woodstock NY and the surrounding area! Beautiful cottage right on the creek! Luxury in the mountains! The hosts Bob and Roberta take a lot of pride in this place and it shows! They had everything we needed and only had to bring our clothes. If you needed something, it was there just like home. The creek is steps away with a swimming hole all for us to enjoy. You can walk to Tinker Street easily. Thank you Bob and Roberta for what I consider a first class weekend! Trish

This property is well maintained and the hosts have done a great job! Beautiful and very comfortable for our visit. You might be tempted to just stay on the property for it's splendor but don't....take a walk in the neighborhood! Bet this is great in all four seasons. Thanks R&R.

I don't have enough great things to say about this place. The house was beautiful (exactly like the pics) with a swimming area at the edge of the yard. It was a five minute walk into the heart of Woodstock. The hosts responded to every query in a short time. The best way to summarize my reaction is this: I can't wait to stay there again!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! Perfect walking distance to town for our 2 children and my older parents. The house was immaculate- it felt as if you were a guest in someone's house rather than staying in a rental. Easy access to market and CVS for anything else you need. Will highly recommend to friends and family!

Traveling to Woodstock with family to enjoy the town and surrounding nature. This home was perfect. Plenty of space and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Most amazing was the proximity to merging streams behind the house. One block from the Main Street but secluded enough to feel like you were nowhere near civilization.

My husband and two kids (a teen and a tween) had an amazing time at Bob's creekside home. Both bedrooms are huge and ensuite (plus a third half bath) and there's lots of space to spread out. I worked remotely for a few days and had no internet issues. The house looks even better than the photos and you can easily walk to Woodstock's main shopping area tp places like Bread Alone, Yum Yum Noodle and more. We sat outside and enjoyed the sound of the Sawkill Creek. Everything in the house was spotless and we appreciated the owners' thoughtfulness by stocking things like dish and hand soap, paper towels, toiletries and even coffee, cookies and milk. We hope to return for another stay!

This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting yet easy walking distance to town. We enjoyed shopping in the unique stores, delicious food, and fun hiking. If this way again, we would definitely return. Thank you to our host who obviously went out of his way to make this place feel like a home away from home.

We had a perfect stay! Relaxing and restorative. We loved the fireplace and stepping onto the patio transports you into a realm of calm. The home is so welcoming and they have truly thought of everything you could need.
Walking into town from the cottage with the view of the mountains is such a great perk ….The close proximity to Pearl Moon, Mud Club and Sylvia’s can’t beat. And it’s so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

There is not enough great things to say about this home. Clean, well stocked, walking distance to town, felt like home. Attention to detail is top notch. I can’t wait to go back. Truly a cozy little spot that felt incredible to stay at. Communication with owner was wonderful. I highly recommend staying here.

My favorite band was playing at Levon’s Barn and Rob’s house is the perfect place to stay!

Beautiful well maintained property. One of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed at. Owners obviously pay attention to all the small details. We loved the creek running threw the property the deer grazing just a few feet away and the convenient location getting us by foot to excellent restaurants. I would highly recommend this property

This house exceeded our expectations in every way. It was very clean, it is a short walk to town, and was full of thoughtful amenities to make it comfortable and enjoyable. We also appreciated the informative and personable notes that anticipated our questions and needs. I only wish we could stay longer. We will definitely come back.

The online description of the house is accurate but doesn't truly capture the full tranquility of the place. A very short walk from town but it's nestled under the trees and there is a nice swimming hole in the back yard. The house is charming, comfortable, and well provisioned. There are 2 bed rooms each with a queen but I needed a 3rd bed. The owners were quick to accomodate and set up a bed in the loft. My family, including my 19 and 20 yr olds, were very happy. Would definitely rent again!

Awesome place.
Looks small from the outside but is spacious within and well decorated. Perfect location with stream views on both sides and a swimming hole in the stream. Deer in the evenings and birdsong predominates. They provide everything except personal toiletries. We walked easily everywhere. The owner was really nice too. Very quiet in the morning and evenings. (Well behaved families using the swimming hole from @noon to supper time.). Terrific vacation!

Second Time Visiting
This property will be in my yearly rotation of places to unwind and relax. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm already thinking of when I can come back. Enjoyed a great summer thunderstorm on the covered patio and severely abused my Merlin app with all the birdsong. Though I didn't use the kitchen, its highly organized and well equipped. So many good restaurants in Woodstock! The filet mignon carpaccio at Good Night is a stand out. I visit the area frequently to hike on the weekends; its so nice to actually stay and enjoy once in a while. Thanks to the hosts!

This was our second visit to this property and it was just as wonderful as the first. The house and location are perfect for us, and it could easily accommodate a second couple in the second floor suite. It is an easy walk to everything in Woodstock yet on the end of a quiet street overlooking Sawkill Creek. The house is well appointed, well stocked with everything you might need, and in pristine condition. The owners are easily accessible and quite welcoming and helpful.
