So much room and everything you would hope for.

We really liked the property. It was located in a great spot only a mile from the boat, dock ramp . We were able to walk our old dog down to the beach. A very short distance from the home . She just love that and so did we it was gorgeous. The Husband caught many fish. Browns, rainbows, and even a Salmon!! Carol’s has the best fish and chips!

Nice cabin big new deck in front of house sleeps eight people easy 2 full baths nice kitchen and dinning area the cabin does needs some floor heater vent repair there was a sign that said it was going to be repaired and to watch your step the owner Linda was very nice we texted each other and she was available for any questions cool cabin just like the pictures show lots of fun to be had

We had a busy long weekend for family at the lake. I loved the charm and the history in this home. Also it was very nice to have a super equipped kitchen for family meals - enough plates! The deck is so nice for a meal or just to watch the world go by. Very quiet.

Had a lovely getaway week at this VRBO. Place was spacious and clean. Front deck was lovely. Linda was great to work with on some minor issues. Proximity to Carol’s Cafe was great. Overall gave us a much needed Lake Almanor “fix.” A real bonus to bring our dog along. So happy Prattville was saved from Dixie!

Great house, great location
Very clean large house, well equipped kitchen, great front porch. Very near our favorite beach and Plumas Pines Restaurant. Lots of sleeping arrangements in the spacious upstairs. Would definitely book again.

Great location, great home, and Linda is a great lady who is very responsive to your communications. We have stayed there many times over the years and it is the ONLY place I will stay when I go to Almanor.

The house was great but the grate in the middle of the walk way into the master bedroom needs repair. The family was scared to step on it. Great location and plenty of room.

We loved where we were but sadly had to evacuate because of the Dixie fire. My sister also had a cabin in Prattville. We are praying that the cabins survive. We were very pleased with VRBO.

Almanor fun
Has an older feel but very well cared for. Owner has put on a new deck and siding and up graded the bathrooms in the last 2 years. Great location on the west shore near our favorite beaches. Great place to relax and take the family.

Our stay was great. The deck is awesome, especially if bringing dogs. The cabin is a bit funky, but most cabins are. The description of the cabin is accurate. Linda was super responsive to questions!

We enjoyed our four night stay in Prattville. The home had plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen. We loved the deck. If you bring bikes there is a local paved bike trail that runs along Almanor West.

Almanor Fall Vacation
We enjoyed our four night stay in Prattville. The home had plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen. We loved the deck. If you bring bikes there is a local paved bike trail that runs along Almanor West.

Great, classic Lake Almanor “cabin” with tons of room for family & friends! Linda, the owner/manager, was very responsive when I had questions or needed assistance. The house is massive with great deck space and wonderful location (had friends staying at Wilson’s Camp Pratville across the street—we cooked & congregated at our place—as well as Carol’s cafe right there. So close to beach area and to Major’s Outpost (if you want to rent water toys). Every convenience is at your fingertips and had all the cooking utensils and appliances you’d need. Great place; thank you, Linda!

Cute and spacious cabin in great spot
My family and I had a great time at the cabin! The cabin is spacious--we never felt cramped with 6 adults and a few dogs. The kitchen is wonderful with updated appliances and stocked cabinets. We spent a lot of time on the balcony! It's about a 5-minute drive from a public beach and across the street from a great cafe (be sure to say hi to Carol!)
We loved our stay and will definitely consider it again next summer!

Prattville Cabin
We had a great stay! Wonderful family time.! Great location!
We did go during a heat wave. The cabin has overhead fans in the kitchen, living room, downstairs bedroom, and family room upstairs. We saw that there was an overhead fan in the upstairs bedroom containing the king and 2 twin beds that hasn't been installed yet. That would help that room.
We learned that if we closed all of the windows early in the day, it helped keep the cool air in. And then opening all the windows in the evening as soon as it cooled off outside helped a lot.

Health and child safety issues
My expectations are not high. Clean and child safe are important for me. Cabin ratings of almost 5 🌟 from 15 people looked appealing and this property looked so cozy and appeared to meet our expections. Unfortunately this vacation was a nightmare. Previous ratings have to be from family and friends.
Mouse poop in kitchen and living room along with some other issues were addressed the first morning. A handy man was to stop by (didn't happen). Owner says "the little buggers" are the norm.
Kitchen needs a deep cleaning, everything in kitchen had to be washed prior to use.
Used Kleenex (plural), cold medicine(child friendly issue), trash, dog leash etc. under beds.I. I sent pictures to Owner and she said she couldn't believe it(?).
Master bedroom is not private, you need to walk into master bedroom to get to laundry room and upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.
Sorry for the negative review, but the owner has taken my concerns very likely.

Fun times at the lake
The cabin is about 1/4 mile from the beach which we enjoyed daily. Carol's across the street was handy. No Ac but it was only warm in the late afternoon.We had fun with the family here.

Great house on the lake... loved it ...had a great time...well stocked...perfect location...couldn’t ask for anything more...great host ...hope to return next year
