Westernmost Villa in Europe with Spectacular Ocean Vistas
La Quinta è la villa più occidentale d'Europa e si trova in un parco nazionale. Ha una vista a 360 gradi, totalmente incontaminata sull'oceano e sulle montagne di Sintra.
Facilmente accessibile dalle principali autostrade e con una fermata dell'autobus a pochi passi, la villa si trova a 45 km da Lisbona. Racchiusa da pareti di granito rosa che garantiscono una completa privacy e arredata pensando al comfort, questa spaziosa casa è decorata nel tradizionale stile portoghese.
Famosi ristoranti si trovano nel villaggio incontaminato nelle vicinanze e spiagge di fama mondiale sono a breve distanza in auto. Gioca ai collegamenti del famoso campo da golf Penha Longa a soli 20 minuti di distanza. Esplora i castelli moreschi di Sintra o visita l'elegante casinò Estoril. Festeggia il prossimo centenario di Nostra Signora di Fatima nel 2017. Guarda la flotta peschereccia scaricare il pescato a Cascais o partecipare a gare di wind surf su Guincho Beach. Ci sono numerosi ristoranti esotici nella zona tra cui scegliere e le attività per tutta la famiglia abbondano. before we even arrived, Anna reached out to find out how she could help ease our transition (e.g. having some groceries in the house, etc). Frankie, the caretaker, met us at the house and is simply a lovely human. The house itself is quite spectacular. The photos speak for themselves, but it has a gorgeous view, and the hike down to the beach (starts across the street) takes you to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. (note: hike is not for the weary, but there are plenty of other beautiful beaches nearby). The house itself is quite impressive, so many rooms that there were rooms we didnt even get to spend any time in during our 5 day day. Thank you Anna and Frankie for a wonderful visit to Portugal!

House full of character, with amazing views of the ocean and Cabo da Roca and within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches of the Portuguese coast. Don't expect a fully modernized house with IKEA furniture. But everything you need is there and we had a wonderful few days at this memorable place.

What a charming place! We had an amazing experience at this lovely villa and would come back again in a heartbeat. The history and location made for an unforgettable week exploring Sintra, Cascais, and the western coast of Portugal.

We’ve stayed here in the first week of August. The view from the garden is spectacular and the villa’s location is great to check out interesting places nearby (Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Lissabon). The beach below the house (Playa da Ursa) is fabulous.
The villa itself is ready for some much needed love. It’s pretty damp inside. Paint is peeling. Rooms that smell musty. Double beds that crack and moan and aren’t actually large enough to fit two adults comfortably. No airconditioning, even though it was in dire need during our stay (it was >30 degrees outside).
Don’t get me wrong. The villa is amazing. You feel like entering a museum showcasing the somewhat mysterious and impressive life of its previous owner and family. It could be a five star location with some overall improvements. It would be the crown of the village!
We did enjoy our stay and have been a happy guest!
