The accommodation was quite rustic but very clean. Once we realized. that we could make a BIG fire it was a lot warmer !
The small free standing fireplace is perhaps a little inadequate for warming the area on a freezing cold night in Sutherland.
However we were able to make a larger fire in the main fireplace which was better. This certainly did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay

Such a lovely little space. Enough for a solo traveller or couple. The electric blankets and gas heater was a lifesaver at night.

no breakfast supplied. very convenient position
it was freezing cold as we expected but no heating was supplied. an ancient stove was supposed to supply heat but it was tiny and set far back in a nook so no heat came into the room. i suggested they supply a small hear
ter instead. the girl who opened up seemed to think it was a good idea

"We loved our little red door cottage. It is cosy and within walking distance to nearby restaurants and shops. The host is very friendly."
