Owner was very quick to respond to questions and we could tell that she took pride in her property and the comfort of the guests. Beach was very clean and quiet—just a handful of other people there. The building/property itself was clean & well-maintained. No issues whatsoever.
Yes, there are A LOT of homeless people in the neighborhood surrounding the property but this in no way impacts the experience. If you like a peaceful retreat away from the rest of the tourists and Honolulu traffic—this is perfect. Everything you need is just a quick drive and you can easily get to the other side of the island in less than 1-1.5 hrs depending on traffic. We would absolutely stay here again.

Condo was perfect, lots of towels and dishes, balcony was great for listening and watching the ocean, the beach was beautiful and the water was great for swimming. The only minor issue was the area the condo is located in, never had an specific issue with any homeless, and the parking lot is gated so never felt unsafe or uncomfortable, but the huge number of homeless just outside the gates was interesting to say the least. To go out to dinner was a little bit of a drive (20 min), but the Tamura grocery store had lots of supplies and grab and go food items to get us through our stay. Overall love the vacation and am so glad we chose to stay in this particular unit. Also fantastic communication with the host.

The condo was clean and well-equipped with a nice washer/dryer, kitchen equipment, beach and pool towels, coolers, boogie boards, and nice furnishings. There is a great view to the beautiful beach from the balcony. The sunsets are spectacular! The bedding was comfortable, but the mattress is soft, if you have any back issues. There are homeless people in the surrounding community, but there is security to get into the condominium with a key fob from both the road and beach, and also to access the elevator. The food choices are somewhat limited, compared to larger areas on Oahu.
We thorougly enjoyed our vacation! Thank you!

Nice ocean front high-rise condo on the upper west side of Oahu away from the crowds of Honolulu. Well equipped including beach gear and now one set of snorkel equipment which we left for others. Perfect sunsets. Residents and other vacationers were all friendly. The neighboring area of Waianae has a large homeless population but the property is secure. We really had no complaints and will probably come back at some point in the future. Aloha.

Nicely remodeled. The unit had everything we needed (minus a wine opener). Love it and will return.

We had a great time. The property was as expected and had the most amazing views! Sitting on the balcony drinking your coffee every morning was wonderful. The sounds of the ocean and AC in the bedroom made for a most restful sleep. The amount of homeless people on the way to the condo was very sad. They never bothered us nor made you feel unsafe. The beach was awesome and barely had anyone on it. The tide can be tricky so we saw lots of unsuspecting people get knocked down by the waves. You must try shave ice at Magic Mountain down the road a short distance from the condo. Delish! Everyone was pretty friendly and we enjoyed visiting the USS Arizona Memorial and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Great anniversary trip for us! Mahalo for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of heaven.

Everything from the well outfitted condo to the facilities, pool, hot tub, common areas, grilling area and outdoor rinsing stations were well maintained and welcoming. But the best parts of this location were the VIEW from the balcony and the beach! We sat on the balcony most mornings we were on site, drinking tea and coffee and watching for the sea turtles that swim by regularly. We even got to see a monk seal playfully swim through the bay one day! We made use of the beach umbrella and chairs as well as the boogie boards. Do not let the drive turn you away. Traffic was easy and it was no more than 35-50 minutes to anywhere on the island. Maybe a bit more to the far northeast side. We went everywhere!
Make sure you drive all the way up the coast to the state park at the end. Beautiful beach and shore.
One last note….we had reserved another site for the second half of our stay on Oahu and when we got there, we were surprised by a kitchen with an open wall, sewage construction out front, and workers wanting to be in the unit while we were staying there! Kathy ended up letting us come back to the Hawaiian Princess and she saved our vacation!!! We will definitely tell all our friends about this rental and will come back to stay again in the future! Thanks Kathy!

We had a great time. The property was as expected and had the most amazing views! Sitting on the balcony drinking your coffee every morning was wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable (including the pullout sofa) and we all had great sleep with the sound of the ocean in our ears. The view from the lanai can’t be beat-we watched spectacular sunsets every night!! And the beach was calm enough to swim in every day of our stay (which I know is not always the case here 😉). Kathy was exceptional to deal with; responsive, helpful and extremely accommodating with any request. We can’t wait to return and stay longer! We miss this oasis already.

This condo was exactly as described and was extremely clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay (even a few staples in the fridge and cupboard). The beds were extremely comfortable (including the pullout sofa) and we all had great sleep with the sound of the ocean in our ears. The view from the lanai can’t be beat-we watched spectacular sunsets every night!! And the beach was calm enough to swim in every day of our stay (which I know is not always the case here 😉). Kathy was exceptional to deal with; responsive, helpful and extremely accommodating with any request. We can’t wait to return and stay longer! We miss this oasis already.

Great views from our lanai with great weather everyday. The amenities were perfect you really don’t need to leave the condo at all. 40 mins away from airport so time your travel and tours wisely but other than that we had a great relaxing time.

I highly recommend this property! It's exactly as described in the listing with everything you need for a glorious stay on the island. It is a little farther out if you plan to do activities each day, but for us it was perfect because we only had a few items planned. Others have mentioned the neighborhood, but I found nothing out of the ordinary of what you'd find in any big city. During the school year, the main highway gets a bit hectic as there are several schools along it - but nothing that can't be avoided with a little planning. Great place and the owner is one of the best I've ever worked with. She answered every question I had and was always so quick to offer suggestions - couldn't have asked for better. I cannot recommend this condo more when traveling to the island!! It had everything we needed plus absolutely stunning view!

Super cute condo with beautiful view. Had just about everything we needed, including boogie boards, beach chairs and an umbrella. The fridge was stocked with bottled water, which we were very grateful for. The beds were super comfy and the entire condo just very comfy and nicely decorated.
It's so great to be right on the beach, although you do have to walk down a bit to swim because of the rocky shore immediately in front of the condo building.
We had a wonderful time. It's a gated condo, which is good because the immediate neighborhood is not exactly posh.
There's some fun tide pools for those who are interested. The beach is a true ocean beach with waves and undertow, so I wouldn't recommend it for families with babies/toddlers. We had our 5 and 8 year olds in life jackets to be on the safe side, they both had a blast but the 5 year old mostly played in the sand because the water was a bit rough for him. Really he was super happy though, he never wanted to leave the beach.

My wife and I stayed for a week here and both of us said it was the most beautiful place we've stayed! The room was clean, well stocked and had incredible views. The staff was very friendly and the owners were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
