beautifully renovated cottage in the heart of charming Matakana. wonderful host!

Great location, second visit cause I loved it so much first time. Wonderful to be on the doorstep of the market and restaurants.

The unique, quaint ambiance of the cottage was great. it was very close to all the facilities, shops, markets etc…

It needed some maintenance. I didn’t like another family knocking on the door on Monday to check in whilst we were still there until Tuesday. I had expressly phoned Booking.com after speaking with the owner of the cottage, to advise them of the change in dates so that wouldn’t happen!! The owner had penciled in the date change so that Booking.com would know. My whole booking experience with Booking.com has been like a comedy of errors except it wasn’t funny and actually has been very stressful and disappointing. 😓

Clean, comfy. Nice decor. Great location.

Lack of communication from host.

Charming cottage in central position

As it was mid winter it would have been nice to have some heat turned on for our arrival . It took several hours to warm the house and we never could warm the bathroom Everything else was very comfortable. a potato peeler in the kitchen would be good!

I walked in and saw the beautiful layout of decor and how well set up it was. It was so special to get ready for my wedding here! So close to everything but private enough so the husband to be (who was staying a few houses down) couldn't see us all getting ready!!! Highly recommend for a hens, bridal accommodation or special night away!
