Mendocino's Historic McCloud House Headland Views on the Edge of the Village
Nuovo a Mendocino Preferred, storica casa costiera del 1880 ai margini del Mendocino Village. Soggiorno in un pezzo di storia in questo 1880 nostalgico casa che regala incredibili viste acque bianche e tramonti mozzafiato. Godetevi le immagini ei suoni rilassanti delle onde mentre si distendono sul sole portico con un buon libro o fare una breve passeggiata per accedere ai 340 acri panoramiche della Mendocino Headlands State Park e Big River Beach. Il soggiorno offre un'altra zona di ingraziarsi davanti al camino scoppiettante e godere di quelle viste mozzafiato. Al piano superiore ci sono tre camere da letto, (2 regine, 1 camera doppia) tutte con vista sull'oceano. Divano letto nel soggiorno. La cucina luminosa è aperta alla sala da pranzo e comprende una penisola che può essere usato per mangiare, giocare o supervisione dello chef. Property is charming, comfortable and convenient. And in a gorgeous location with a spectacularly framed view of the ocean.The only constructive comments are that it would be easier to have the house instructions printed and available at the property. And upon entering there is a strong musty smell that sometimes wafts through the house, even upstairs. But luckily it’s not always present. To end on a positive note, the hosts or management are good communicators and provided a lovely welcome.

What an amazing retreat! We chose this place over a nearby inn or bed and breakfast because of the more affordable price, and it did not disappoint. We were in town for a wedding, and it was the perfect distance from the venue, as well as neighboring towns and local shops.The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay—even creamer for the coffee maker, which was stocked with coffee grounds. We didn’t have any issues during our stay that required reaching out to the property managers; the instructions provided were clear, detailed, and easy to follow.While it didn’t have AC, the temperature is pleasant year-round, and if it ever gets chilly, there are baseboard heaters and a fireplace on the first floor (with firewood and kindling included). Quaint and quiet—just what we needed. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is a great spot!

The home was wonderful accept for the nonstick cookware. They were scratched and old. Please provide cookware that is not coated. It is bad for our health.Parking was great and I loved walking into town from the house.Thank you, Laura and Steve

For whatever it's worth I selected a historic house in Mendocino. The area is beautiful, but the town is overpriced and artsy weird. So the house is kind of like that, and didn't have the amenities I'd prefer. You couldn't open but about 2 windows for a breeze. There were a lot of additional instructions throughout the home which made things less warm and friendly. The whole onboarding process once I completed the sign up through VRBO was cumbersome and absurdly duplicated. All in all this feels more like a place for an eclectic older couple with some sort of toy dog, not really for a family. Don't get me wrong, the house fits the Mendocino vibe, but I've strongly reasoned that I could live without that town. I visited because I had childhood memories of going there, and do not feel the need to return again.
