The property has a great vibe to it - all wood, cozy, and great for hosting!

This was an absolutely amazing property and worked perfect for our company retreat! Lots of beds, bathrooms, and the kitchen was well stocked and setup with commercial double sinks, stoves, ovens and huge smoker/grill. The place was so so clean! Just a quick 4-5 minute walk to the beach or can grab a vehicle permit for $10 and drive on the beach. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Overall the space was very accommodating for a large party. The rooms are spacious and the layout made it possible for everyone to move around with ease. There were plenty of areas to lounge and converse. The short walk to the beach was also a plus.

Fantastic lodge cabin with great amenities! Communication only went one way with the property manager. They sent me addition questions pertaining to our group, & then paperwork to fill & send but did not respond to our questions sent. Overall good experience & do recommend!

We had a women’s retreat here. In previous years, the houses we rented had a lack of bathrooms for 30+ women trying to get ready all at once—not so here! 10 bathrooms! The kitchen was well stocked—the best of any kitchen we’ve ever encountered. The beds were comfortable, even the bunk beds—which were super sturdy. The owner and in-town manager were very easy to get in touch with and were very helpful. Also, we loved the elevator to help bring up all of our supplies! Beach was a short leisurely walk down the street. Definitely a house worth renting.

This house has a fantastic kitchen and layout for our group. We were able to meet, eat, and enjoy time on the beach.

I hosted a woman’s Retreat and the space was big enough for everything we needed wanted to accomplish. We did meditation and yoga early morning by the lake. From cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Love it! And will host again there

The property was nice and an easy walk to the beach. It fit 30 of us comfortably. It's located next to a canal which is nice looking however is a breeding ground for mosquitoes which made being on the patio difficult. We also had some appliance issues coming into the house however it isn't fault of the owner, just inconvenient for our planned usage of the ovens. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back if opportunity allowed

Overall, we were pleased with the property. The experience was less pleasant. We enjoyed our stay. The property was a good fit for our family. I wish the owners/property managers had been more service-oriented in their communications and culture. Pros: - Private bathroom for each bedroom - Plenty of pace for our large family - The grocery store across the street was amazing - Nice gathering places like a patio underneath the house Cons: - In our experience, the property manager was not as responsive or effective at communication. (For example, the app said we could check in at noon, and when we called, she said we would not be allowed in until 3 PM. We had multiple families coming large distances expecting to be able to access the property at noon. The response was a halfhearted apology and admission that they needed to update the app.) - Beach access was not as easy as we would have liked/thought from the online description - The WiFi was spotty and did not work except in the main room of the property. - Extremely rigid set of rules and expectations (Not sure of partying kids or a disrespectful group gave the owners a terrible experience, but it felt unnecessarily inflexible.) - One of the rules for cleaning is to completely remove all sand (for example, hose off the patio). However, the hoses had been cut, and the spray nozzle did not connect, making it very difficult to do that task. It also seemed like an odd request for a home on the beach - some sand seems expected to me.

Overall, I am thankful for the size and set up of the property. We enjoyed being together under one roof for the first time since covid. There were a few concerns that I informed the property manager about. I just hope that these issues are taken care of for the next person. The issues could have been more problematic had our stay been longer.

Property was great

We had family from out of state come for a reunion-30 of us!-and this property was great. We loved the private bathroom for each bedroom and the grandkids loved the two bunk rooms. The walk to the beach was easy. It was great to have the market across from the neighborhood for anything we forgot. The kitchen was large and it was easy to prep and serve food for our group. The property manager was responsive and overall we loved our stay.

Had a wonderful stay for a family reunion, fit the whole extended family. We had alot of fun.

This house is very spacious and accommodating. The family had a blast.

home is clean and ready to go. Our only complaint is that we should have stayed longer. Check out cleaning list took about 3 hours.

We stayed for a corporate retreat and it was amazing. House was even bigger and more beautiful in person. Easy to check in! Highly recommend

Property was exactly as advertised -?however the kitchen was well stocked but was dark the backyard is great with tons of turtles in small lagoon. Property owner really over stressed how clean you had to leave property however we documented with pictures that it was not clean when we arrived. All fees and full rent are due at booking and NON refundable for any reason. So beware when making your reservation. Over all a wonderful location - please note that Texas beaches are open to vehicles and the beautiful beach within a minute s walk had traffic from 9 am to 5pm constantly.

We really enjoyed our stay at this massive beach house. We needed a place to fit all our families and this fit the bill perfectly. The beach is a short walk away and the area is nice.

We had an exceptional experience the entire weekend. The house is beautiful and met all of our needs. We had 15 to 20 at any given time so we had plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the temperature was comfortable, the elevator made it all easy (we are a rather elderly crowd with bad knees), we had one of our guests in a wheelchair and he was able to get in with the portable ramp and the accessible bathroom. The kitchen had more than enough to help with cooking, the double refrigerators, stoves and dishwashers were a big help. The only thing we had a slight problem with was the lighting in the kitchen around the coffee pot - it was a little dim. But that was minor. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this house to anyone hosting a large event.

This house is exactly as pictured. There were a couple of small maintenance issues but overall a clean, nice property. I’ve been using this site for years and this is my first negative experience and review. I was warned about towels and linen before arrival which I thought was weird. There was exactly enough towels and linen for the number of guest, no extra. So unless you bring your own you have to wash often. The neighborhood was hostile. There were aggressive, Trump flag waving people everywhere. Yes, they were actually waving flags. My kids were flipped off by adults. The neighbor played loud music most of the day but did stop right about 10 every night. The parking spots in front of the home were occupied y guest of the neighbors dance parties. We have traveled all over the world, I’m writing this review from Tulum, Mexico, but this was the first place I didn’t feel welcome or safe. The owners have no control over the neighborhood so back to the home. The owners were extremely nit picky about check out. The most ridiculous I’ve seen. I still tried to comply. I went through the house counting the towels and linens making sure each room had the required amount because they wanted them in the rooms. All towels were placed on the floor. The linen was left on the beds because I was trying to ensure each bed had everything. You know how kids move around and sleep together during the stay. All trash was removed from the home and even the dishes were washed. The floor was swept. The only thing not done was actual mopping of the floor and laundry. I knew from the previous communication this owner was going to be difficult and was trying to avoid that. However after check out there were still issues. They claim the house was left a mess because the linens weren’t removed from the beds. And there was sand in a tub. Really?! Even when using the outdoor shower there will be traces of sand. It’s a freaking beach house. I definitely think this was planned from the moment they seen my group. I have a good reputation on this site and others. This is my first horrible experience but it’s definitely making me apprehensive about using the site again.

We were a group of 36 with ages ranging from 1 to 95. It had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms each with a bathroom, and room for all of us to spend time together. We loved the short walk to the beach. Both the owner and Jeff the property manager were very helpful. We’d love to return in the future.

We all really enjoyed the property. Location is good, just a short walk to the beach. Very spacious. We had 19 people and everyone fit comfortably. The only troubles we had were some toilet issues and a leaky roof. This was handled quickly and professionally.
