A fully equipped kitchen, comfortable great room and beautiful deck with a view of the bay in an excellent location made this an ideal property for a gathering. Locke was responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Visited to celebrate my birthday with my husband, mom & stepdad, cousin & her hubby, my brother and his fiance (who live in the area). It was our first visit to see my brother and the Point Reyes/Inverness area and we had a wonderful time thanks to our VRBO hosts and my little brother who did a great job as our tour guide. The home was wonderful and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need (even duplicates of everything you need!). We had a lovely dinner at home the first night and enjoyed being able to have the comforts of home while away and visiting from different cities. Locke was extremely helpful and considerate when sending info and quick to respond to texts when we needed (couldn't find a light switch or something). We'd really love to make this an annual trip if we can, and would choose this home every time if it's available!

We came here to celebrate our Thanksgiving a bit late. Everything you could possibly need to cook a grand meal is provided.
The beds are very comfy.
The weather was a bit rainy (yay!) so the big windows were perfect for staring out at the gorgeous view.

My family and I enjoyed staying in Inverness at this lovely home. We brought our dog and had fun relaxing at the house as well as adventuring nearby. We've stayed here several times before, and appreciate its location, outdoor space, views, and lovely architecture. Locke is a fabulous host, and is available and responsive to questions. We look forward to our next visit!

Locke was an excellent host. We were provided with clear direction on how to check in and use the houses various amenities. Everything was clean and comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.

We love the house and the location near Chicken Beach. The kitchen has everything one could need to have a family feast.
The deck and view are wonderful for hanging out after a day of beach or hiking. Our family loves this house and Inverness. It is our first choice.

The property is wonderful - a main house and a little cottage. Great for kids, the deck wraps around and is fully contained. Fully stocked kitchen, comfy linens. The location couldn’t be better. The place could use a deep cleaning, but the bathrooms were very clean which is most important! We would recommend this location and hope to return.

Somewhat rustic, but good space and very well appointed kitchen. We do our own cooking, and it was really nice not to have to bring/buy stuff (other than the primary food). the space worked well for our family, allowing the family with the child to have their own space with the murphy bed for the child. Great location for hiking/ beachgoing. our granddaughter loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home in Inverness. The location is is perfect for hiking in Point Reyes. It also has a beautiful deck with wonderful views of Tomales Bay. We were a party of 2 couples and the house was perfect for us. One of us stayed in one of the two bedrooms in the main house and the other couple stayed in the cottage which is more or less connected to the main house. We both had our privacy but were still near each other. We will be back!

This is an excellent place for those who want to be able to get outside without jumping in a car. Just across the street you will find a sandy beach (there was a good bit of mud mixed in after a big storm- I'll take the rain any day though!). Hop in the car and take a short drive to numerous hikes and other beach options! Such a lovely place.

This property and home is in a perfect location. Easy access to a beach and roads to the National Seashore and stores in Inverness and Pt. Reyes. The view from the deck, as well as from inside the houses, is wonderful!
Locke was a perfect host and checked on us via text to make sure all was going well. He was quick to respond to a few questions we had along the way. His family is so generous to allow others to enjoy this lovely place. They have an extremely well stocked pantry of staples as well as a HUGE supply of glasses and plates all of which they are willing to share. We are already planning another stay with fingers crossed that there will be availablity. Thank you to your entire family!

I was so grateful to be in a working home. A well stocked kitchen, plenty of bedding and towels, a well appointed laundry room all allowed us to settle in very quickly. Home owner was incredibly gracious and we were delighted with our weekend away.

House is in a great location. Loved being able to walk right to the beach. Beds are very comfy, and furniture is in good shape overall. Kitchen could use a little updating but was totally serviceable and had everything we needed. Owner was wonderful to work with!

We had a wonderful stay here with our family and pets! Exceptional location with a couple minute walking distance to the beach. Locke was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The house is clean and fully stocked! We are definitely returning for our annual trip to Point Reyes.

This is probably this best house I have rented. A wonderful deck to enjoy Tomales Bay. Three comfortable bedrooms with loads of privacy. A well stocked kitchen; only thing we could not find was a garlic press. An easy drive to Inverness, the town of Point Reyes Station and the beautiful hikes and beaches of the national seashore. We will return

We had a wonderful stay at this well loved home. The house was even nicer than the photos and well-stocked. We loved the amazing view of Tomales Bay, hanging out on the large deck, and space enough for everyone to have some privacy. My husband and I loved that we could retreat to the cottage while our kids slept in the house. We brought kayaks and were able to get on the water early…the beach is only minutes away, plus quick access to Point Reyes and incredible hiking. The only complaint we heard was that the beds, while adequate, could be updated. We would definitely come back.

The house was perfect for us. The large deck with incredible views was a wonderful place for the kids to play and great for our evening appetizers/oysters/wine. Large enough even for ride toys. The house is very close to Chicken Beach so that we were able to go a couple of times per day. Kitchen is fully stocked. Dishes, utensils, pots are plentiful. We will be back. Thank you

This is a great place for families to stay. Super close access to Chicken Ranch beach and easy to navigate across the rest of Point Reyes National Seashore. Lots of space to relax in the large living area and deck in the summer, comfortable beds and a kitchen stocked with lots of gadgets and utensils for large family meals.

We had a lovely stay at his comfy home. Instructions provided by the owner before checking in and inside the home were excellent. My teenage daughter loved staying in the cottage and the views were even more panoramic! The trip to South and North beach was long due to copious road construction so I would recommend a better alternative at Kehoe Beach. In fact on a Monday afternoon we had the whole beach to ourselves! The market in Inverness Park is excellent. I'm sorry to say the Point Reyes Station House Cafe is closing but we were able to enjoy their takeout on the deck.

This home is wonderful, spacious and welcoming. We so enjoyed the sunrise, the stars, and the shimmering bay from the amazing deck. The house had everything we needed and then some, but was totally unfussy to match the vibe in Inverness. Ping pong was a blast and it was a such a luxury to walk to the beach multiple times a day!
Owners were responsive and gave great information on how to care for the house. We can't wait to return for more good times and relaxation.

We loved our time there -- such a fabulous deck, a well stocked house with a great layout for a group of friends and family. It's also incredibly quiet and peaceful, with a sweet bay beach down the hill. We look forward to coming back!

We had a lovely time once again at Locke's Inverness house. It's ideal for our family, as the children enjoy separate quarters off the deck. Just a short walk downhill to Chicken Ranch beach, and lots of beach items on hand to take there. The house is spacious and generously equipped. Lots of help from the owners. Highly recommended for families.

Our family really enjoyed staying in this large and welcoming home. We were there for an early Mother's Day gathering, and found that the space was so comfortable for the occasion. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the dining room and living room are perfect for whole families. There were 5 adults and a small dog in our group, but we never felt crowded or lacking for privacy. What a boon the cottage quarters are: plentiful beds and seating, its own bathroom, a fireplace, and a lovely view. Best of all was the huge open deck that is the central focus of the house. We spent much of our time there: sunning, doing yoga, chatting, eating breakfast, bird-watching, and thrilling to the waterside view. I hope we can return someday.

We spent five days in this beautiful home with our two girls and dog. The views are fantastic, the house is comfortable with everything you need, the setting is quiet, relaxing and restful, yet conveniently located near beaches, hiking, the ocean, stores, etc. We loved watching the sun rise over Tomales Bay, listening to the birds singing in the garden, and admiring the moon shining on the water at night. We took morning and evening walks to the dog-friendly beach just down the street. The cottage was an extra bonus, as our girls loved setting up the wooden train set, playing games, and reading in their own special place (with equally beautiful views). We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

I have to visit Inverness once a year. There is something so magical about the area. We have stayed in many different homes here but this has been the best. The view of Tomales Bay, the short walk to Chicken Ranch Beach and the roominess of the home made a perfect get away for 3 couples. We plan to return next year. Thank you!

Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in this wonderful home—and the sense of welcome we felt being there!! Our multi-generation family enjoyed a truly magical time here over President's week end. The views of Black Mountain and Tomales Bay are spectacular, proximity to dog-friendly China Ranch beach a huge plus for us, and accessibility to Pt. Reyes beaches on the Pacific so easy!! We had all the conveniences and comfort we could have hoped for. The cottage is a special place and overall the property exudes a very spiritual aura. Our stay was a truly magical time for our family. And I have to say it was a rude awakening when my husband and I returned to Minnesota to below zero weather!! The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our requests!! We will be back!!!

This house is very comfy with astounding water views. The bed in the master bedroom must be new because it's better than those in 5 star hotels. It was a great luxury to walk our dog out to Chicken Ranch beach twice a day and so easy to get to all parts of Pt. Reyes as well as Pt. Reyes Station/Inverness. We appreciated the big pile of firewood and well-equipped kitchen as well as the ping pong table and foosball in garage. And the owner was very quick in refunding the security deposit. Can't wait to return for the summer season.
