This is a perfect house, great location, clean, has everything you need and nothing you don't. We stayed in winter, but I imagine it is a real retreat in summer when you can make a full use of the lake. Would love to come back.

The house is certainly comfortable but the bug selling points for us were the beautiful decks, the lawns, the lake and the dock. They made the stay just fantastic.

Everything about our stay was amazing!
The house was beautiful and spotless and felt so welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals. We loved taking the kayaks and canoe out every day and found the canoe easier to navigate with the paddles (one sided) and life jackets are provided. The deck and back yard are tranquil hang out places.
We enjoyed walking around the forest neighborhood — it was quiet and lovely.
We walked to the Sherwood shoppes for breakfast — delish food and the host was so kind.
I could not have asked for a better get away and we look forward to a return visit.
Everything was 5+++ stars!

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, this is it! The house had everything we needed. It was myself, my husband, our three month old, and two dogs. The lake was a huge hit with my husband and dogs (although it was still a little too chilly for me). My husband used the water toys throughout the trip. The neighborhood is very quiet and beautiful. Surrounded by woods right off the scenic highway.

We enjoyed our trip! Nice common area for everyone to hang out, fully stocked kitchen, comfy bedrooms, 2 full baths, a cozy wood-burning stove, nice deck with grill, and gorgeous lake / river views on property.

This place has everything you need and then some. Plenty of backyard for the dog to run around and burn off energy. After a nice day enjoying the outdoors, relaxing by the fireplace is the icing on the cake. Will hopefully look into booking this property during the summer.

My husband and I (late 50s and early sixties) and his parents (lively mid eighties) and our 15 month old German Shepherd stayed here for two nights. The tree colors were spectacular, especially when reflected in the lake. The mist on the lake in the mornings was gorgeous. We found the bedrooms comfortable and the living room and dining table were perfect for four. Our pup LOVED the yard and the lake. As our daughter lives in the area, we will likely be back.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was exactly as described and the info given in advance was very thorough. We took some of the host’s recommendations for food and hiking and both were excellent. The foliage on the lake was beautiful and my children loved the kayaks. They were already asking when we could come back!

The house is in good shape with some nice upgrades. The location is great with a small pond / lake behind the house to give you a taste of what the Berkshires has to offer. The area is in close proximity (within 15 minutes) of ski slopes, Tanglewood and Kirpalu. There is a great little breakfast place in the neighborhood as well that is within walking distance.

Our stay at Sherwood Forest did not disappoint. The property was comfortable and nicely appointed. We especially enjoyed the back decks morning, noon and night. Larry was a very communicative host and provided helpful info to facilitate our stay. Hope to return to the beautiful trees and lake there sometime.

Just got back today from our lovely time in the Berkshires. The house is great- pictures could use updating to show that There is a gorgeous new dock, platform with two beautiful loungers and table, large new fire pit, canoe, paddle board, and kayak.
Owner very responsive with ?’s I had before our trip.
Second floor is perfection with a gorgeous bathroom and big fluffy towels.
Beds very comfortable with nice quality linens.
Lake was great with many beavers swimming to and from the dam. So cool to watch from the kayak and canoe at a safe distance of course.
Also lovely that our sweet golden retriever was able to join us/ big bonus!
Grocery stores, restaurants and outlets an easy 20 min drive.
Internet not very fast
Tv had tons of channels and we brought a lot of our old school DVD’s to watch
So fun!

The house living room isn’t the biggest but there is Plenty of room on the outside deck and spacious lawn with a great lounging/sunning deck. The younger visitors will enjoy exploring the brook and using the water crafts to explore the lake. We didn’t fish but I bet it’s tons of fun too. Just be sure to bring bug spray for yourself and your 4 legged members. The surrounding area is great for nature lovers, quant dining, and shopping. The owner was very responsive to any questions. I bet if you visit this property, like us, you won’t want to leave. We hope we will be able to go back again next year.

Relaxing lakeside retreat
We spent a relaxing family weekend here. The property is exactly as listed if not better! Spacious, clean, and extremely well-managed. Communication was clear and efficient. The property was spotless and all beds were comfortable including the sofa bed. The deck attached to the property is spacious; there is a Weber grill, table chairs plus seating to relax.
Becket is as described - a wooded area with similar properties scattered throughout. A bonus of waking up to a deer coming down to the lakeside to take an early morning drink. Jetty is great and we had fun in the kayaks. Short drive to large supermarket at Lee and Lenox a little further. Local shop too!

A nice weekend getaway
The house is bigger than it looks like, clean and very nice overall.
The ignition on the grill wasn't working, and Larry was very responsive as for the location of the lighters. It started raining, and I didn't end up using the grill after all, so can't comment on that further.
If you're coming with kids, and each one of them wants to stream their own movie, the WiFi in this place won't handle that. Helps with bonding actually... but be aware that the internet can hold one-two devices but hardly more.
Bottom line, a very nice place for a spontaneous weekend family getaway, definitely recommended. Will consider it for a longer stay in a warmer weather.

Perfect warm, Spring weather helped to make our stay in mid April a delightful one. Sitting on the porch looking at the lake was delightful… I even saw an otter swimming! A canoe and some kayaks are available to use which is a really special perk! The house was very comfortable and the one next door neighbor house was vacant so, we had total quiet and privacy. Sherwood Forest Area has a lot of dirt roads- felt like we were really away from civilization. Some nice and not so nice homes with junk outside on lawns are scattered throughout the resort area but none seem from this VRBO property. Tv channel choices were amazing , Wi-Fi worked and the restaurant recommendations from owner were perfect. The yard slopes down to the lake and was very soggy from the rain and Spring thaw. Geese poop is on the lawn and dock- careful where you step! The gravel driveway slopes downward and has some large ruts but there is flat gravel parking available in front of house. A little trouble with entry code to house and 2 lights that needed repairs inside house, but otherwise, would recommend and stay again. Owner very responsive.

We didn’t get to appreciate the outdoor space due to weather, but there is a nice deck and lake activities would be very enjoyable in spring/summer.

We came in on Friday and stayed through Monday. House is super cute and clean and owners responsive to little snafu with immediate resolution. The only thing I could see as an improvement would be a better bigger couch or another comfy chair in the living room. Location was fantastic, close to the outlets and not too far from Ski Butternut. We will for sure be back! ❤️

We came in on Friday and stayed through Monday. House is super cute and clean and owners responsive to little snafu with immediate resolution. The only thing I could see as an improvement would be a better bigger couch or another comfy chair in the living room. Location was fantastic, close to the outlets and not too far from Ski Butternut. We will for sure be back! ❤️

Post Holiday Fun
Took a break to do some hiking and snow tubing in the Berkshires after Christmas Day with the family and our dog - not only did we have a great time exploring the area, but the house was cozy, clean and had plenty of backyard space for the dog to get some exercise. Total gem of a find that was comfortable and perfect for our needs. A big thank you to the owner for sharing it with us!!

I always love escaping to the Berkshires and this was no exception. This is a great little spot to relax, enjoy the natural scenery and unplug. Larry's cabin had everything we needed. I hope to return again!

Tucked into a forest-ed residential community is little house overlooking a stream. The place is super clean and well equipped. It had everything I needed during my stay. Could use fresh paint. My dog and I enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at this place for three nights for adults two dogs. Place was spotless dogs had room to run around outside and play in the lake. Larry the owner leaves a detailed message before you check in with all the things you need to know just make sure you read to the end LOL he doesn't leave anything out. Overall fantastic stay will stay again thank you Larry
