We spent four nights at the farmhouse with a beautiful view in Maine. We took the boat trip out of Port Clyde to Monhegan Island one day and enjoyed it so much. Spent time touring Camden, Rockport and Rockland. Everything was just a short drive and after a busy day we could relax at the farmhouse. The beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you so much!!!

The house was very quaint and New England style farm house. The Old floors and decor was reminiscent of old time New England. The view was fantastic, especially from the front first floor bedroom. On top of that the house was very affordable and was able to accommodate my family for an unplanned emergency trip to Maine.

We loved the salt and fir farm house. Lovely place with so much history. Well appointed kitchen, everything you need. House stays very warm by steam heat and can sleep your whole large family!! The view is spectacular! We will recommend to friends and family!
Thank you Elise !!

Great Stay !
We had a great holiday stay without family. The house is very well kept and clean. The layout is a little quirky, but it allowed everyone to have their separate space but still great places to gather. If it were summer and we could use the patio I could see where it would allow for even more gathering space. Overall we were VERY please with the stay. Look forward to coming back in 2022.

A good house with New England charm! There was plenty of room for my wife and I and our five children. Less than two miles from a lighthouse and a beach, and a five minute drive from a puffin boat tour. Owners were great to work with. The house could use a bit more lighting in the upstairs bedrooms, but overall a great rental, and if we come back to the area we will look for it again!

The house was great and we would definitely stay again. Having 4 daughters, a large home with lots of space was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. The view is also great. The only negative is that the downstairs master bedroom appears to be the former living room and the staircase is located in the room. So, there is a lack of privacy with regard to the upstairs bedrooms. There is a curtain on a track to provide some privacy, but a wall would be so much better.

We had a great stay at the farm house, it was clean, had everything we needed, beds were comfortable. We would stay again
Spacious house, close to Port Clyde. The house was spotless, and beds were super comfortable. WE recommend taking a day trip to Monhegan Island, the ferry is only 5 minutes from the house.

Wonderful spacious farmhouse with coastal view
We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious, clean farmhouse with views to the beautiful Maine coastline. The large table on the deck was just perfect for our family to gather and enjoy breakfast and dinner. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs. Marshal point lighthouse is just down the road and provided us with many awesome sunsets. We will definitely return next year for another girls vacation!

Wow! We loved this place!
We were all so delighted when we arrived, the place is very roomy, with plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and relax. We especially loved the 'breakfast porch', it was so cozy for meals and playing games.
The mornings were filled with wild birds singing, chickadees, mourning doves, robins, redwing blackbirds and of course seagulls.
The location was perfect for us, far enough away from the bustle of route 1 to be peaceful, but conveniently close enough to all the attractions we wanted to see, including; Marshall Point lighthouse, Owl's Head lighthouse, a perfect little beach at Birch Point Beach State park (go at low tide!) and tons of beautiful views of the Maine coast all around the entire area.
We ate a wonderful meal at The Causeway restaurant nearby, highly recommended if you are looking for some fine dining.
We felt very comfortable during our stay, everyone in our party was very happy with the location and the accommodations.

We loved our stay at this home. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal, the beds were comfortable. The living room was spacious. This home is very cozy. The porch was a lovely spot to eat breakfast in the sun, and the deck was perfect for enjoying our dinner. Nice and quiet, but close enough for day trips to sight see. Ancho Honey is must, their sandwiches were amazing.

The house is large, sunny, comfortable, and unique. Great wifi throughout and a smart TV in the large living room (plenty of space for family games too). Bedrooms were very comfortable with nice views. Everything worked well. Kitchen had everything we needed but lots and pans and cooking utensils have been well used (if you plan to cook a lot, bring your favorite kitchen tools!)
The location is great. The road is a bit busy but not too bad. The area itself is beautiful and we enjoyed Drift Inn Beach, Marshall Point Lighthouse, Owls Head Lighthouse, Ash Point Preserve, Owls Head Transportation Museum. Plenty to do within 20 min. Rockland is a cool town to check out too, very easy and pleasant to walk around.

Cozy, tasteful, spacious home with ocean views
Cozy, tasteful, spacious, and gorgeous views. This home could have been far more expensive than it was. We absolutely loved our time here. The owners were quite accommodating and allowed us to add another guest without much notice. Ocean views and running distance to Marshall Point lighthouse. Would certainly recommend this home without hesitation. Worth the drive up for sure.

Farmhouse by the sea
We had a great time at the farmhouse. It’s huge and has wonderful antique charm that we all appreciated. It was a great location to explore surrounding areas. We are already planning our next stay!

Old Maine Farmhouse
We had a rough start to our stay due to a sump pump failure in the basement. Through NO FAULT of the owner, we had no hot water the first night, but to their credit the problem was corrected the next day.
The farmhouse was different and quirky in a fun way. The only thing that future renters should know is the downstairs master is really the old parlor with a big curtain separating it from the front door and stairway. And the fireplace is the headboard. LOL. If a couple were expecting privacy that would be a bit awkward. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much and would rent it again.
The traffic noise is fairly loud and you can hear every footfall in the house, but it was easy to imagine it with a grandma cooking at her stove, and we made our own memories with a lobster boil one night. We were not looking for a cookie-cutter hotel and this place had loads of charm.
The beautiful ocean view was lovely at sunset and the house was HUGE and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker, etc. The den at the back was also large and led to the lovely deck, both with the ocean view.
The St. George area is quaint and about as far from everything as all of the other places in Maine. Most things are a drive no matter where you stay. The general store was fun, and there are plenty of places to eat if you go in season. We traveled the week after everything closed but still had a great time. Fall was a lovely time to go with decent weather, gorgeous foliage and a great escape from the heat of South Central Texas!
The hosts were very kind and handled the sump pump issue well.

We had a nice time staying at Salt and Fir. There’s no water access from property however there is a cool beach at low tide a mile away. Good for paddle boarding and kayaking. My kids enjoyed looking for crabs and playing in the sand. Located in quaint Maine town.

Beach is close (1 mile).
Great Lobster rolls @ McCloon’s in Spruce Head.
St.George peninsula is beautiful.
Charming & Quaint (with Lowes, Walmart, Shaws, etc all within 20 min drive).
(Tenants should be aware that there is an additional rental upstairs & another next door.)
Enjoy!

Nice house, nice location
The house as a lot Old Maine charm, but has updated ammenities, comfortable beds, and some nice gathering spaces. The access to the beach is across the street which is a well traveled road but at 40 mph can be crossd easily by being cautious. The last 20 to the shore is a bushwack (no path). The beach down the road a mile is very flat and wide when the tide is anything but high, great for a day of relaxing

I spent four days with my niece and her family in the Salt and Fir Cape. It was such a great, spacious location where we could all be together or have our space as well. The property is beautifully maintained and located in such an amazing setting.
Thank you Shawn-Elise and Pat!

The Salt Fir Farmhouse and the Bella Bungalow were rented for my friends. Seven stayed at the farmhouse and two at the Bella Bungalow. We had a wonderful lobster fest on the final night . My guests left feedback on some of their concerns. You have done a lot of work and best of luck with the rest! Thank You for the use of the rentals. The owners were very helpful and I greatly appreciate all they did including buying 4 new fans to help with the heat wave! Margaret Krauss

Beautiful Home and Charming Town
Our stay was lovely. We enjoyed the space the house afforded and the amenities provided. The town was charming and the people were quite amiable. There was a hiccup in receiving the house code, but the owner remedied the situation. I would stay there again if the opportunity were to arise.
