Property was easy to find and close to all activities. Well stocked and even had coffee which was great because I forget to bring some! It is an older property but was very clean and felt just like home. Great hot tub and plenty of games and movies. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay again.

The property was in a great location but definitely needs a deep clean. No mold or health concerns but I washed the sheets after finding dirt and grime and there was a lot of dust as well as most of the cooking pots were dirty. Overall we had a good time but would not stay here again.

Property is in a great location minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, Ober mountain, and Pigeon Forge, but it is VERY old and outdated.
This was reminiscent of staying at your grandparents house that they have lived in most their lives and nothing has been updated. There are initials carved into the back of the bathroom doors. Hot refrigerator bulb hanging down in the refrigerator that no one has attempted to fix. Saw a couple roaches upstairs (not waterbugs or outdoor bugs, actual roaches).
The plumbing is wonky in most rooms, the upstairs shower handle turns around and around so its hard to get the water temp right.
I will say that the owners are very responsive and sent someone to replace the leaking kitchen faucet right away.
Also, the cabin sleeps 8 but the inside social areas are small and the living room only comfortably sits 4 adults.
Personally, I would not book this again until the inside gets an upgrade.

The cabin is in a convenient location close to downtown Gatlinburg. The cabin is clean however, it needs a little TLC in regards to furnishings and decorating. The cabin is not as large as we had anticipated but did not keep us from having a great time.

Loved the location! Jay was super nice! My only issue was the cleanliness and needs a lot of love and attention on the inside. I know that kind of stuff takes time so I look forward to seeing what Jay does with the place in the future.

We had a wonderful time..this was up eniugh where you got the mountain experience but just minutes to Gatlinburg..we saw bears within inches everyday of our stay..It was clean and very comfortable place

The location is literally in the mountains but only about 5 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. We did see a bear on the property within seconds of us pulling into the driveway. The house itself is kind of unique. Plenty of room for the 6 of us (2 adults and 4 kids). It is a bit older and the downstairs was musty and it seems to have older carpet and furnishings, but the setting is lovely and the back porch is wonderful. Also the downstairs bed mattress wasn't super comfortable, but wasn't bad enough to ruin our sleep. The kids slept well upstairs though! We spent a lot of time at the Smokey Mountain National Park and doing things in Gatlinburg.

Our family came up for the weekend. Perfect stay for my elderly mom, my husband and I and my daughter and her fiancé. Easy walk from the car to inside the main level, which we needed for my mom. She enjoyed the king size bedroom with the bathroom right next to the kitchen and no stairs to have to climb or hills from the parking area. This worked out perfect for our family. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Nice little cabin high in the Smokies. Bears frequently were at the cabin with one set being a Momma and 3 cubs. Definitely recommend staying here.

Our family spent 5 days at Echo Place and it was everything we needed. Plenty of room and comfort. Lots of games and activities to keep you busy if needed.
It was located just right for us so we could quickly get to Gatlinburg and the national Park.
Just be aware that bears can and do come wandering by anytime of the day or night.

We loved our stay, we had a great adventure and memories that will last a life time. We had visitors our first night it was a mama bear and her 3 cubs. We stayed a week and saw bear every day. Take warning, I drive a soft top Jeep and now have claw marks/ rip to prove they will mess with your car. We had, not a crumb of food in the Jeep I made sure but we did have an empty tote in the back that had held our bedding, I guess they thought it was a giant Picnic basket lol. The following day my husband put the top down so it would not rip more while we found a hardware store with gorilla tape and a different bear got in the drivers side and was going to take her for a test drive. He wasn’t back in the cabin longer than a couple minutes. As I said lifetime memories were made. The only negative about the cabin is it could use a new set of pans other than that just normal wear and tear as to be expected with a rental.
I have pictures of the bear in my car but I don’t think I can share them on here. Might be a new Jeep add lol

This vacation was my kids and grandkids Christmas present. There was 8 of us and this place was perfect. I love the 3 levels which gave each family their own space. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the peace and quiet and watching the wildlife. We were blessed to have the bears come by everyday. The grandkids loved watching the baby cubs. It was close to downtown and many hiking trails. It can use a little TLC but all and all they loved it. We will decently come back again hopefully in the fall.

This was a great house in a fantastic location for vacationing in the Smoky Mountains. Less than 10 minutes from the Gatlinburg shops or the Smoky Mountain National Park Sugarlands visitor center. The house is well set up for big families with enough room to spread out and keep everyone entertained. Great communication with Jay before our stay and no problems during our visit. We would definitely come back here again!

Property location was good, in the mountains yet short drive to Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountains entrance. Had a problem with the hot tub upon arrival, was able to communicate with Jay right away via email for quick fix. Would recommend Ski Mountain Pizza less than mile from the cabin.

We just spent five days at Echo Place and loved every minute of our vacation. The house is older, to be sure, and the kitchen/living area is small for a large group, but these things are outweighed by the location, convenience, and natural beauty of the property. We’ve stayed in many Gatlinburg settings, but this is one of the loveliest. The wraparound deck drew us outside like a magnet — you just can’t sit out there without feeling peaceful and happy. We enjoyed multiple bear sitings every day we were there - so much fun. The layout of the bedrooms is perfect for privacy. Everybody had their own space and we weren’t tripping all over each other. Good kitchen, plenty of pots and pans, and we loved using the hot tub after long days walking and hiking. Jay is a fabulous host - we had a small problem which he addressed immediately, and we appreciated his quick response. We would love to stay here again, next time we’re in the Smokies. Don’t hesitate - book this place today! You can’t beat it for location, convenience, and price.

Beautiful cabin and exactly as advertised. Enough room for 7 guests. Well stocked kitchen and the game room and hot tub was a hit with the kids. A bear walked right up on to our porch one time!

Very homey cabin! My family had a great time. Love the outside sitting area on balcony and front porch. Saw many bears on our visit! Cubs too! Contacted owner about light issue and someone was sent out the next day to fix it! Only downfall was no cable in two bedrooms but other than that, great location, close to downtown! Very steep incline to get up but worth it!!

Exactly as described and perfect fit for the 6 of us. Great location, close to downtown, but away from the hustle and bustle. The drive up was fantastic! The bear were out and active all week, which was fun to see! Jay is a fantastic host and very prompt with communication. If we are ever in the area for a return visit, we will definately stay again!
