We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised. We hosted a family dinner with 11 people. Everyone fit at the table. The kitchen supported the cooking. The backyard area would be really nice in warmer weather.

What an amazing place to stay in Petaluma! Check in was easy and communication with the host was wonderful. The house is impeccably decorated and maintained—we were taking pictures so we could try to recreate some of the decor once we got back home. The bedrooms are cozy, the common spaces are welcoming, and the backyard is great, too—there is even a heat lamp to ward off the chill at night. Location was ideal: very quiet and neighborhood-y, with a park just a block away, but walkable to the center of town. We were 3 adults and 2 young kids (10 and 7), and all would be more than happy to return next time we are in the area thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful location for exploring wine county. The home is absolutely beautiful including a well stocked kitchen, great CD and book collection. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Booking was easyand the host was very communicative. The hous was immaculate, in a lovely neighborhood and close to down town ammenties. It exceeded our expectations! Would whole heartedly recommend this home for a wonderful stay. Also has alot of wonderful ammenties! Fully stocked kitchen, lovely music system and super backyard!

My daughter was coming into town with new grand baby and we needed a bigger place to stay. We rented the DeCarli house. I cannot say enough things about this home. It was a retro designed with a lot of care and detail added. From robes for everyone to wine and coffee, nothing was missed. It was an incredible design with an upstairs family room and two bedrooms which was convenient for my daughter and her new family. We had friends over and they just raved about cool this house was. We loved the CD collection and the stereo system , the books and video! The kitchen was beautiful, clean and nicely arranged . The bathrooms were big and spacious. What isn’t bragged about in this listing is the yard and beautiful magnolia and succulents. It had a clean bbq and large table enough to entertain. I moved from Petaluma last year after 30 years and this house is it for me. Future family gatherings! The location couldn’t be better and my husband and I were able to visit all our long lost favorites. The best part was how accommodating the host was. It was the hottest weekend of the year and she prepared the house to stay cool for the baby and provided instructions on how to keep it cool . She was attentive and obviously took a lot of pride in this amazing home. This is five star plus! Thank you!

We stayed in this home for a mini family reunion. Everyone loved it. Very comfortable & well appointed with anything we might need. Long dining tables inside & outside provide wonderful meal opportunities for the group. We enjoyed the modern aesthetic & sustainability efforts of this house. The sound system & library of music were both an added bonus. The house location is close enough to walk into charming Petaluma & an easy drive to nearby attractions. There was an extreme heat wave during our stay, but the owner gave us helpful advice on how to keep the house cool during the day which worked out just fine. The nights cooled down easily with fans provided in every room.
The house does adjoin the owner’s property but we never felt a lack of privacy. Christine is a lovely host who left thorough notes & was always available to answer any questions. We definitely recommend this VRBO!

The DeCarli House is a lovely, two-story home that is thoughtfully set up to welcome visitors. Comfortable and functional, the location is an easy walk to downtown Petaluma. We were delighted to find media and entertainment galore, from the excellent book, video and music collections, to a well-equipped kitchen.

We spent a wonderful New Year weekend at Decarli house. It is very clean, nice and modern house located in a great neiborhood only a few blocks away from the center of Petaluma.
Christine is a wonderful host and anything we needed received immediate attention from her.
Highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area.

This property is so cool and the photos don't even show all the great space this place has to offer. Super clean, comfortable, great kitchen, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great 'home base' for a wine country weekend and being able to walk in to downtown Petaluma was a great bonus. Neighborhood is charming and quiet. I rarely give 5-star ratings because there is always 'something' that could make a place better, but I can't think of anything missing here. Super cool vacation property.

The house is amazing - nice neighborhood, close to town. Host is very communicative. There are a lot of rules, particularly about trash management, which we aren't used to so that was a little bit stressful for us.

California living at its finest. The homeowners have created a truly one of a kind home that was a pleasure to visit. Everything is in the details - and nothing has been overlooked. At the end of the day you sink into comfortable beds, and at the start of your day coffee in the beautiful backyard is a calm and peaceful respite. Location is perfect. We’ll be back the next time we visit Petaluma.

My only recommendation for other people staying is to bring sleepmasks as the place gets lots of natural light and unless you want to be up at dawn, you'll need to create your own darkness.
I loved staying here and hope that I have occasion to again!

We had a wonderful time in Petaluma. The property is not only very cool and beautifully designed, but also well equipped (down to a variety of sport equipment) and comfortable. There were impeccable, well varied and alphabetized CD and DVD collections. Everything was beautifully displayed and organized. It truly felt like a luxury experience curated just for us. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. I can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful home, great hosts
Gorgeous house in a quiet, convenient neighborhood. The beds were the best (away-from-home) beds we've slept in. Chris is a terrific host. She answered my email questions thoroughly and quickly. We would be happy to stay there again.

Central to Everything!
We needed an extended place to stay while visiting our beautiful granddaughters. This place met our needs and more - clean, updated, centrally located, and the host Chris is the best!

There are so many welcoming spaces here; the lighting is good; the kitchen is well equipped; the fireplace and sound system are great; the whole place is very clean and uncluttered; and surrounded by mature trees. It was dumping rain the whole weekend, so it was nice to have such a clean and cozy place to come home to/sit around in. Chris, the owner, gives very helpful and detailed communications. It's quite a luxury to stay in a dedicated rental home (without personal effects and clutter of regular inhabitants) that is also very well-appointed. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Immaculately clean house close to Napa
Nice mid century house. Clean. Comfortable. We used it for our Napa trip. The rides back and forth to Napa were a little long, but actually surprisingly relaxing as our driver took us to the wineries. I would definitely stay in the house again.

Petaluma Perfection
My family stayed at Decarli house when in Petaluma for my son’s recent wedding reception. It was a delight. The house is so appealing with open spaces, lots of room and practical cooking and eating areas. The kitchen was so organized and well-outfitted it made food prep easy. And the design of the house, the furniture and outdoor patio is so cool. We all loved it. Location is great - we could walk to the heart of town. And Chris made check-in simple. We hope to get back here one day.

Super gorgeous and modern house--PERFECT for groups!
This house is incredible! Definitely one of the best Airbnb/VRBOs I've ever stayed in. My husband literally said, "Do you think we can live here forever?" as soon as we walked in. This is a great spot for groups as it has spacious common areas, large dining tables (both indoors and out on the back patio), and a sweet sound system with ceiling speakers. Super clean, beautiful decor, high ceilings, modern furnishings and bathroom/kitchen fixtures. Chris was very communicative before and after our stay, and check-in was a breeze.
HIGHLY recommend if you are staying in Petaluma or wine country!

What a beautiful place to stay!
Where do I begin? Communications were fast and accurate. Check-in/check-out was straightforward. What a wonderful place to stay...This house is just breathtaking and sparkling clean. The overall architecture is just stunning with many, many artistic features. And the furnishings are gorgeous as well.
There are also many little classy features such as an entire bookshelf of art books and an amazing eclectic CD collection. And the size of this home is incredible as well. We also really enjoyed hanging out in the backyard admiring the beautiful garden. It has almost a Zen-garden feel. I can't recommend this house enough. It is worth every penny
