An Oasis In The Land Of Enchantment
Situato nella valle sottostante storico Taos, Nuovo Messico, la "distilleria" è impostato sotto gli alberi molto maturi, circondati da ampi giardini, mentre ancora si affaccia sulla montagna sacra Taos. La casa originale fu costruita durante il proibizionismo e prodotta liquore di contrabbando per la speakeasy in città. Usiamo la casa ora come una piattaforma per la distillazione e lo scambio di idee. La nostra casa offre un rifugio tranquillo in una zona ricca di storia e di arte. C'è qualcosa di molto rilassante di stare in una casa fatta di terra. Adobe è un tradizionale stile di architettura che si adatta alla terra qui. Abbiamo aggiunto una nuova cucina e master suite alla vecchia casa, mantenendo il fascino delle case di questa zona. Ci sono grandi spazi e spazi accoglienti. caminetti caldo per l'inverno e rifugi fresco per l'estate. Dispone di 4 camere, 3 bagni, una biblioteca, ufficio e salotto, nonché patii per mangiare all'aperto. L'ampio orto e giochi d'acqua offrono ambienti esterni belle nella stagione calda. Abbiamo una terrazza sul tetto che offre una vista spettacolare e la possibilità di dormire sotto le stelle.

It's a living library and art gallery that embrace you with a sense of history, literature and Taos art, much of which was created by the owner's family. With a large yard in town, it is a quiet refuge. It is not new and shiny, but very comfortable and rapidly becomes home. The great-room and kitchen are fantastic.

The house and property are delight, full of wonderful artwork, literature, period furniture and numerous spaces to either gather or to find time alone in one of many niches. After eight weeks, I was still discovering another piece of art to appreciate. The four bedrooms, and several bathrooms provide ample space for guests or family. The kitchen/great room is large and open with a terrific stovetop and setup for anyone who likes to cook. The large walled-in yard provides privacy and a peaceful setting with shade trees, a real plus in the summer. The location is another plus, just a twelve-minute walk to the center of town and minutes to grocery stores and other services. Do know that this lovely house is a Taos experience, not a chrome city hotel. If you want a Holiday Inn, go elsewhere. If you want Taos, this is it. We were there for nine weeks, and it became home. We loved it.

Amazing home with plenty of room for our friends and family to spread out. The artwork was stunning as well as the outdoor spaces. Great location to sightsee at several places. We would definitely stay here again!

My family of 5 stayed over the New Years break and had a great time. The house is large and beautiful and there was plenty of room for us to relax and enjoy our stay. We all danced and watched an amazing sunset of the roof patio for New Years Eve.
