The property was beautiful. The room had everything we needed. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Ice was in the freezer and water in the fridge. Small snacks were provided. The bathroom was great with a wonderful walk-in shower. Parking was directly behind the property. It is a central location and you can walk to restaurants and shops. Check in and check out were very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I spent a long weekend in the Chapeze suite. It’s the perfect location if you like to walk the town and enjoy all the restaurants, shops and bars that the town has to offer.
The room has everything you need for a perfect getaway. Love the huge shower!!
The bed was very comfortable. It is a bit noisy as it is on the roundabout but after a little bourbon in the evening we didn’t have any trouble sleeping😉

The room / bathroom were wonderful. Shower was huge, very nice. Better than as previewed online. It is very close to all the shops / restaurants, easy to walk to everything. We only had to use the car to visit distilleries. We were never disturbed by anyone so it was easy to forget you were apart of the main house. We will definitely use this rental again.

This property was just what I needed. The room was beautiful, clean, and stocked with anything you could need. Even has a water cooler in the corner, extra helpful in these hot summer months. The location is perfect and easy to walk to local shops, restaurants, and bars. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

We were more than pleased with our stay at Chapeze House! The building oozed charm and history and Margaret Sue thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved being right on the square as we were walking distance to so many shops, pubs, and restaurants. The cottage-like feel gave us so much privacy and the courtyard was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the cool evenings. We are already planning a return visit, but only if we can stay here again! :-)

The location could not have been any better for our needs, as it was right on the main street 1/2 block from the circle around the town center. We could walk anywhere downtown in <5 minutes. There were plenty of restaurant/bar options available. Special shout outs to Mammy's Kitchen & Bar (best breakfast ANYWHERE and the family has a great history to share) and Primo Italian Restaurant (amazing pizza, great inexpensive wine and friendly, attentive service).

My wife and I booked this property for our first Bourbon Trail trip. The suite was great and in an awesome a location. We only used our car to move around to different distilleries as the suite is within close walking distance to the main part of town. Everything about the historic property was great.

A great location and a gracious host! We loved our stay in this beautiful suite. Despite being in the middle of a record-breaking windstorm, Ms. Margaret offered a warm, personal welcome.
The suite is gorgeous! It has the kind of historic charm for which Bardstown is known. It was wonderful to have several seating options and the bed was among the most comfortable we've ever experienced. Downtown and most of the restaurants were within walking distance. Highly recommend it!

It was fantastic. Now, it is dated, it's not a 5 star hotel so if that's your thing you won't be interested. For us we will definitely stay again if it's available. It was very nice, clean and the location was perfect.

We had a wonderful time staying at this suite in Bardstown! It is the perfect location to walk to everything in the adorable downtown area. The drive to the distilleries is short and easy. The bed is comfortable, and I think with a few tweaks, the place would be amazing. The bed is right up against a window that is on a traffic circle, so that was a bummer. We had a fan going and 2 sound machines to drown out the noise. If they rearranged the room and added two sets of thick curtains to help block the noise that would be helpful. Otherwise, the suite had everything you would need, it was clean and roomy. We loved it! Thank you for having us!

I am originally from Bardstown and I always love coming home. We enjoyed two days in Bardstown where we visited five distilleries! Willett's was our favorite! We enjoyed the Stephen Foster drama again. Also managed to have dinner with cousins and breakfast with high school friends too. Our room in the Chapeze Suite was fantastic and the location is perfect. Margaret was a gracious hostess. We will be back!

Bardstown Weekend
Suite was excellent, very clean, came with all necessary amenities, and within walking distance of the town’s shops and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable too! We look forward to returning sometime soon!

History and details
We walked in and felt spoiled. Every need was covered, the attention to detail was perfect! We loved the history of the house and the furniture and decorations. Parking right behind the house was perfect. The courtyard was sweet but we didn’t slow down to use it. Our only concerns…Sunday was tough because we got in late and we could only find one place that was open for dinner, but we were thankful for the one place! We aren’t used to traffic noises and for a small town the road was very busy.

Great Place
Really nice accommodations! Very convenient, comfortable bed, and well appointed! The only thing I would add would be ear plugs because the roundabout is treated like the first turn of the Indy 500. Totally not the owner's fault, but something that should be considered.
Harley riders aside, we'll 100% visit again. Super nice town.
