Nice Stay for a short period. Warm and inviting. Felt very much like home and very spiritual. We did see one bug that appeared to look like a roach or water bug.

This is a great beach house. The house is very well maintained and was very clean upon our arrival. The pool was sparkling and everyone had a good time while using it.
The kitchen has everything you need for cooking or grilling meals.
One thing I would say about the kitchen ware is that there very many multiples on the utensils and pots and pans to the point where the cabinets and drawers were difficult to close. You may want to consider "thinning out the herd" so to speak!
Overall, it's a great house in a very good location for a family vacation. Highly recommend.

We had a great time and we’re amazed with 24 Private Drive. The house was well stocked and well furnished. Will certainly watch for this house again in the future.

10 of us and pets stayed at this property and found it generally as described and very accommodating. The kitchen was extremely well stocked allowing us to easily make all meals at the house. We had an issue during the stay and the property management company was very responsive. It’s in a great location for easy (1 block) access to the beach and has a lovely pool that allowed us to extend our day in the water. Overall a worthwhile investment as a place to stay for our family with ages ranging from 65-8.

This house is perfect for a large group, and is very family-friendly! It was very clean and this mama with a crawling baby didn’t have to worry about a dirty floor. We had 6 adults and 2 little ones (infant and young toddler). The rooms were perfect for setting up pack-and-plays and the living area was spacious and safe for the kids. The kitchen had literally anything we needed which was awesome! We were pleasantly surprised to find hand and dish soap, toilet paper and paper towels left from previous guests (and we did the same). We heated the pool since it was chilly and it was very comfortable. The back patio was lovely to sit and enjoy the pool. We happened to be one of the only occupied houses the week that we went and the back deck was quiet and peaceful. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back soon!

Pros: quick walk to the beach. Large house with plenty of parking. Fairly large pool. Nice layout for house.
Cons:When we booked the property the summer description was listed and not the off season description.
The house was extremely nice however there were multiple dead bugs when we arrived. When we were sitting on the couch a water bug/roach crawled out of the sitting chair.
The pool was dirty and not running when we arrived, I had contacted the host about if the pool was heated and she said it was an additional charge on top of the large amount we spent on the house for 2 nights. I informed her the pool was not running and my husband had checked the pump (we have a pool so we are familiar) and it was so fulfilling and needed to be backwashed and that is what we did. She was irritated that I contacted her and touched the pool pump. She informed me they have a pool company and we shouldn’t have touched the pump.
I did see in the description that there were cameras which we were fine with but there were cameras by the door, where the cars needed to be parked, one on each back deck (2) & one watching directly over the pool (which I found disturbing)
Lastly, there were no bath, hand or kitchen towels. In the amenities it listed linens so I assumed linens meant bath towels. We ended up going to Walmart at 9:30 Friday night and spent a fortune on bath towels for 12 people.

This home was very clean upon entrance. Very accommodating! LOVE the pool area which was equipped with floats and toys. We had a wedding party stay and plenty of room for about 16 of us!! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!

I have been vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach for almost 40 years and my wife since she was a kid. Our grown children have vacationed on OIB their entire lives and now my grandchildren are enjoying the wonders of Ocean Isle Beach. I have rented dozens of places, many have stayed multiple years all over the west end of OIB. I have stayed in 3 homes on Private Drive but not one measured up to this one.
This house was perfection. The open main floor and sIze of living space for a large family was outstanding. Everyone could sit at the dining table for dinner and it was ideal for after dinner board games. There was a great table for puzzle building and another table for card games. There were plenty of seats in the living room and there is a powder room tucked away on the main floor. We did not discover it till late on Monday thinking it was a coat closet!!!
The bedrooms are spacious and there are plenty of beds and an abundance of bathrooms. Deck space was outstanding with plenty of seating. The pool and pool deck was a place we spent most late afternoons and evenings before dinner. Great pool and beach toys are available for little ones. (We had wicked water gun fights in the pool!)
As the family cook. this kitchen was outstanding for cooking for a crowd and had the best brands and quality cookware, knives and serving utensils along with an abundance of serving equipment of any home I have stayed at on OIB. And the small appliances were top brands.
For entertainment, the house has TVs everywhere with great satellite and a wonderful library of DVDs, books and a ton of games. Every game I brought from home was in the cabinets.
Finally, my daughter raises service dogs and has never been able to bring one of her service dogs-in-training on vacation up until this year. We are so grateful for the homeowners pet policy. It was so nice to have her current dog-in-training with us for vacation. (Also good experience for him to enjoy the beach.)
Thanks so much for a wonderful home for my family to enjoy on our annual vacation. Sure hope to be able to stay there again next summer.

This was a great house in the Summer Place community. It was well taken care of and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the decorating as well as making sure guests have everything they need to enjoy themselves. Beach chairs, wagons, pool rafts, etc are provided. The kitchen is organized and well stocked with an abundance of cookware, plates, serving platters, flatware, and cups. It was just a short walk to the beach which was clean and never felt crowded. Renting a golf cart is well worth it to cruise around the isle. We would certainly stay again and LOVE OIB!

Our extended family spent the week. We cook in most nights for a crowd. We were pleasantly surprised to find the home fully stocked with everything we needed. Love that it’s a short, easy walk to the beach with the added bonus of a pool right out the back door.

The check in process was so easy and the owner was always quick to respond to questions and was so accommodating. The home was clean and the kitchen was so well stocked. Would definitely recommend staying at this home!

We had an amazing time. Super clean, well stocked, and close to the beach. The pool was awesome. Renter was AMAZING to work with. Literally, nothing else could be better about this place!

My husband and I booked the house for my extended family as our only vacation this summer due to COVID. We live in Boston and hadn't seen everyone since Christmas, and we wanted a safe space where we could hang out together. This place was PERFECT for us. First, the pool was great. It's just big enough for our group and had plenty of lounge areas with sun or shade depending on the time of day. The main living floor was also great because the kitchen, dining and living room are all open so everyone can hang out together (it's on the 3rd floor though, so the stairs were a bit of a challenge for my 80+ year old grandparents). We didn't eat out while we were at OIB, so we spent a lot of time cooking and eating together at the house. It's also very close to the public beach access, so carrying out stuff wasn't a hassle.

Super clean and accommodating for our weekend fishing trip. Was surprised to find the house stocked with sheets toiletries and even a bag of ice in the freezer. Very nice and clean. Seamless rental process. Thanks and hope to make it again soon!
