On the plus side, the location is quiet, lovely, and next to the beach as promised. It's near many amenities and restaurants. The owners are very nice and gave us privacy.
The downside was that the house was poorly supplied and not well kept. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap were limited or missing altogether. When we turned on the garbage disposal, rotten food came out of it. There is no AC so the rooms get very hot. The portable fans were covered in dust so we had to clean them before use. We also had to wipe down the counters and tables as they had dust or water spots on them. There was used dental floss in the bathroom garbage. Lastly, very little in the way of window coverings so there was no way to filter sun/lights in the rooms or have much in the way of privacy. Highly unlikely that we will use this house again unless changes are made.

The owners were very accommodating and the place was absolutely wonderful!! We loved being so close to the beach, just steps away!! The town is in walking distance and there are lots of great restaurants and stores to explore. The place was very comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor shower after the beach and the bbq was great to have since the place gets so hot and we didn't want to turn the stove or oven on! The only thing I would recommend to the owners is to invest in air conditioning. They do have a lot of fans and one small air-conditioner in the main room but they are all very loud at night when sleeping. There is a nice breeze that comes through but on really hot days it gets quite hot inside even with the fans. Thanks so much we loved our stay!!.

Our stay was nice. The only thing is we wish that the owner had not entered our space without prior notice, that made us uncomfortable.

Well equiped, very roomy house with beautiful garden/patio. Beach is steps away, long, not crowded, & very clean. Kailua town is just a 5 minute drive away.

Shari and Chuck are the very best hosts. We really enjoyed our stay at their home. It had everything that we needed and more. The tropical patio was so much fun when we had family over. We slept great to the sound of the ocean and the February breeze that blew into our room. We will be back!

This place has the essentials for a complete experience at (in my opinion) the best beach on Oahu. The distance to the beach is about a 100 steps. The only negative is during the heat of the day the rooms can get warm. The hosts do provide a number of fans which keep the air moving. Shari and Chuck are wonderful and attentive hosts.

We loved the location! Three houses away from the beach is awesome. Although there is no designated parking spot, with the rental being located on a private street we had no issues with parking. The rental was very warm. The small portable ac unit and fans were helpful but even with them, the unit was still very warm. Not very breezy because of the privacy wall surrounding the rental. The closeness to Kailua town was great, just a short drive away to awesome stores and food. We would stay there again in a heartbeat if the unit was completely air conditioned and if they got new beds.
Shari and Charles were very kind and welcoming during our whole stay. We enjoyed the conversations with them. They are great hosts. Very accommodating and helpful.

We were able to enjoy Cheri and Chuck’s Kailua home for over two weeks and it pained us to leave. The house was exactly
100 steps from the entrance to one of the most beautiful private beaches you can find…enough said. The house was warm..being July…but had a small room ac unit and plenty of fans…which helped a bit. Other than that, the home had a fun vibe rage Hawaiian beachy feel. We loved it!

This location was incredible! The proximity to private access to the beach, the comfortable homie feel of the house, the friendly and helpfulness of the owners, the breathtaking Lanai!!! This place was amazing! If you are looking for a spot to get away and feel like it's private and tropical but be close to everything, then this is the spot!!! I highly recommend this place! I'd give it a 10 if I could!

This location was incredible! The proximity to private access to the beach, the comfortable homie feel of the house, the friendly and helpfulness of the owners, the breathtaking Lanai!!! This place was amazing! If you are looking for a spot to get away and feel like it's private and tropical but be close to everything, then this is the spot!!! I highly recommend this place! I'd give it a 10 if I could!

We were able to drive all over the island from our house. Any time we needed the owners, Shari responded immediately. This cute home made our vacation so enjoyable!

This apartment has lots of room and everything we needed. The location can’t be beat and the host was helpful and friendly. That said, the place is old and in need of a good bit of updating and maintenance of furnishings and appliances.

We had such a lovely time in this home. It is 122 steps from the beach entrance (I counted). The property is spacious and comfortable, the back patio is a beautiful, relaxing secret garden, and Shari and Charles are warm, kind, and available if there is ever a concern. I would absolutely recommend and we will try to book this property again in the future.

This unit is a very short (half a block) walk to a private gate to a gorgeous beach. You can go watch the sunrise with your morning coffee, take long beach walks, swim, play in the waves, boogie board. The private patio is wonderful for dining. The living room iis big. I love it here!

The beach is about 100 yards away and is not crowded at all. The hosts were so nice and let us use their sand toys for our 2 year-old. The back porch was perfect for hanging out without having to leave. There is a park and a coffee shop walking distance (.5 miles) and tons of restaurants and grocery stores less than 3 miles away. Just book it, you won't regret it.

There is only one bedroom, not two as advertised. The second bedroom is an alcove off the living area. Not private. Helpful hostess.

My family and I stayed here in early February. Amazing location and awesome hosts. Shari and Chuck were friendly and inviting. The location could not be better to the most beautiful beach!! Lots of amenities and plenty of space for all 4 of us. Will definitely be staying here again!
