We truly enjoyed this little private getaway during the hussle of the holiday season. Our host was so helpful, making sure we found the driveway and could get into the cabin. We took long walks and enjoyed a trip to Ellicottville.

Very cozy little cabin to just get away from the hustle and bustle of life for awhile. Very quiet and peaceful. Not far away from towns that have things to do. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back to stay again.

The cabin and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful! My husband and I (plus our 3 dogs) had an amazing time and hope to go back soon.
We couldn’t have asked for more and our dogs couldn’t get enough of running around (and swimming in) the pond!

A beautiful cabin in the woods in a "NYS Dark area" for people looking for great star gazing. Bette is an amazing person, could've spent an evening just with her. It was a beautiful place in a cozy cabin. Bette is always there for you. I came looking for stars, and found them. My little old Chihuahua was totally happy there too. I am totally happy, thank you Bette. Can't wait to come back.

Fall is an amazing time in the Northeast. And this location is perfect to reflect the colors of the season. We had fantastic weather. So, Fall in Great Valley at this cabin is highly recommended. It's almost as good as Summer. As this was our fourth visit to this property .... we have pretty much seen every season.

The cabin was exactly as listed, but better. Though the weather did not completely cooperate the first 2 days, i would not change a thing. The walking trails in the state forest are just a short drive, or walk up the hill. It is honestly the only place we have ever stayed that Sam(the dog) slept all night without barking, including at home. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Bette...

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this cabin and we love it. It is so peaceful! Perfect for a getaway with a scenic view. My 4 yr old son and husband enjoyed the fishing and my son caught his first fish ever! Our dog couldn't get enough of the outdoors. The cabin is cozy and clean. Bette is so nice. We will definitely be back.

This place was as advertised, which made for the cutest, calmest retreat. The property is so beautiful and so quiet that you can literally hear bees buzzing.
Bette is such a great host and makes it so easy to come and go. Not only was everything clean and stocked when I arrived, but she was always responsive when I had questions about my stay.
The place was so perfect for some time away from it all, and I can't recommend it enough!

Hidden gem of a property! Most listings like this only have two of the following: seclusion, beautiful views, waterfront. This one has all three! Property was absolutely beautiful! A log cabin with character - nestled in the woods. Complete with a private lake and beautiful views. The kids loved it, the pups loved it, and we loved it! Bette, the host was amazing as well! She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Communication was great. Check-in and check-out were a breeze - and we got to learn a little bit of the property’s history while talking to her. This made the little cabin even more precious! Great stay and we look forward to returning some day!

My brother and my 2 dogs absolutely loved this quaint cabin. It was so serene and peaceful. My dogs loved it especially my 1 year old boxer who loved doing laps around the pond and running off into the woods. Bette was accommodating and accessible and very sweet. My brother even caught his first fish from the pond. We’d definitely return for another peaceful getaway.

My husband and I have been on the hunt for a cozy secluded cabin where we can fish, relax and Gaze under the stars. This Cabin was beyond that. We fished and relaxed all day and By night we hit the town of Ellicotville for Delicious Dinners and entertainment. The bars and restaurants had live music, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Dive bars to upscale and romantic. Bette was a gem to speak with. I needed some medical attention and she responded right away and found a walk in clinic for me. ( I had poison ivy prior to vacation) She was an absolute doll and is very caring for her guest! Also so laid back, Didn’t have a strict list of things to do. This is as peaceful as it gets! We can not wait to re book this visit!

As much as my family and I were excited about this property, we quickly realized upon arrival, we would not be happy. The property said that there is 100 acres, but you quickly see that what you can actually walk along is probably less than an acre. Bringing dogs here prooved to be more problematic than a relief because they didn't get to have as much free roam as we hoped. Especially coming from a cramped apartment. Inside the cabin the floor was gross, the refrigerator was gross. The freezer was full of huge ice chunks that we had to spend 30 minutes chipping away at just so we could get food in. There was a few inches of hand soap in the kitchen, none in the bathroom. There were no sheets for the pull out couch, only dozens of pillow cases. Dishes needed to be cleaned and the outside furniture was clearly not well taken care of and there was trash including beer cans outside, under the house. Overall, we had a terrible time. It was more stressful than relaxing, since we had to clean everything in order to feel comfortable. But in the end, we felt so uncomfortable in the cabin, we had to leave five days earlier than what was booked. I am not sure how/why the owners missed all this, but it was the last straw for my family on ever booking a Vrbo.

This place is the perfect place for a true country stay. Bette is a great host. The veiws from the cabin are tremendous and the cabin is well equipped. The pond offers some nice fishing but no monsters but the catch of bass is steady and very visual for those that are bass fisherman. The birds species is very pleasant for the downstater not familiar with upstate species.

Cabin is in a rural area far from any big city/attraction. Very quiet and peaceful on a private pond. Cabin stocked with everything you could need! Bette is a very communicative and welcoming host.

Bette's cabin has been one of my family's favorite getaways since 2020, so I was delighted to share it with my new wife on our honeymoon! The seclusion and beauty of the landscape is only matched by the tidiness and coziness of the property. This cabin is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and yes--start a marriage. There is no signal in this area but the cabin itself has very fast WiFi. The area is about 20 min away from Ellicottville which is a quaint town with a brewery that has delicious food!

Well, not really sure how to describe our stay, Goldie Locks went to 3 bears cabin in the woods.❤️ But seriously, the cabin and location are breathtaking and so peaceful. Breakfast and coffee out on the deck were a awesome way to begin a morning. Bette definitely has all the amenities you will need. This 3 day stay was very special, as my brother and I had just lost 2 brothers in a 10 month timeframe and needed time to talk, heal, even laugh. My wife, brother, and I all had many memories to bring home and cherish. Thank you Bette, Michael, Heidi, and brother Richard

The property was a wonderful place to get away and relax. Our dogs were able to run off leash for their first time. They swam in the pond and we hiked in the woods behind the cabin every morning. My wife and I had coffee while enjoying the great view, we made smore's in the firepit and grilled on several occasions. The nearby town Ellicottville was slow paced and had some very enjoyable restaurants (winery, brewery, and Dina's), Niagara falls was close by. Overall the property was fantastic and there was a nice mix of things to do in the area...we plan to visit again!

A few years ago, we were blessed to discover Bette’s beautiful cabin on the hill! Of all the places we’ve visited - this is our favorite, and our son couldn’t wait to bring along his girlfriend- first GF ever to visit there with us!
We do the same things every time- read, walk, eat, go into town once, build fires, play games and cards and breathe…..never gets old! A few years ago there was spotty WiFi which we loved. Now it is better, but we refuse to use it lol - part of the joy here is unplugging! Thank you Bette - beyond grateful!
