We really enjoyed our stay at this really nice townhouse in Ballard. It is very modern and spacious with 3 levels, including a really nice kitchen and living room area, a very nice main bedroom, and great views from the deck.

Our family (4 adults) stayed in this beautiful Townhouse in Ballard for two weeks. Upon arrival we immediately felt relaxed and ready to begin our vacation. The townhouse was exactly as pictured on site! Even better! The townhouse is immaculate with new appliances! The Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need just like someone actually lives there! It even comes with teas, cooking oils and some spices! The linens are wonderful with well stocked extras. The beds are nice and comfortable. There is an abundance of wonderful white towels and beautiful boutique hand soaps and lotion’s in each bathroom. The third floor bathroom has heated floors! So nice on cool morning’s. The rooftop is just amazing, with beautiful views, grill, table and chairs and sooooo.. much room. The Ballard neighborhood became our favorite in Seattle! There are so many cute shops and amazing restaurants, coffee shops and breweries just minutes from the townhouse! This is a quiet and safe neighborhood! We have stayed at many VRBO’s all over the United States And some in Europe, And Karen’s is the best!! Karen saved our vacation with her beautiful Townhouse! Karen is a wonderful host! Thank you Karen for making our vacation so wonderful and comfortable! You go above and beyond to make sure your renters have a wonderful stay! And we are very appreciative! We hope to revisit Seattle again and would definitely love to stay in your beautiful Townhouse again!!

We spent nearly a week in Karen's lovely townhome, while we had work done on our home in Seattle. Our stay was perfect! The place is exactly as in the photos, except nicer. Extra clean, super well-stocked kitchen, spacious primary bedroom/bathroom, awesome rooftop deck with views! Communication was great, check in and out was easy, neighbors were quiet, and downtown Ballard is very close, with all its great night life. 5+*

Met up with family in Seattle for a long weekend. It was perfect! We all loved the place and Karen was a great hostess. The rooftop deck was an incredible place to end each day. I would definitely go back! Thank you Karen!

We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop deck. The beautiful sunsets and spent a weekend together celebrating my husbands life. I would come back to this location in a heartbeat! Overall, our stay was wonderful. The home was very well appointed and immaculately clean. The owners were quite responsive. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare wonderful meals. The rooftop deck was nice to have. The location was great with convenient markets close by (Safeway and Target less than a mile away).
My family would happily stay here again in the future.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Karen’s property with our 2 dogs. Check in was smooth and Karen was very responsive to our needs. The home was beautiful and we enjoyed eating and hanging out on their spacious rooftop. We would definitely stay here again and recommend any of our friends to stay here!

With all the construction going on, there was still at least one street space available close to the house (driveway space was great, but our vehicle was large). Also, the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet after business hours. The houses/condos are close together so with the windows open we could hear neighbors conversations, but they weren’t unreasonable and they quieted down at a decent hour. We were mostly out and about, but with an amazingly stocked kitchen we were able to save a lot of money by eating breakfast and dinner at the house. The location was awesome. It was close enough to all the hot spots in the City center/downtown, but far enough removed to enjoy peaceful evenings/mornings. The zoo (and the awesome playground nearby), the Locks/Fish Ladder/Botanical Gardens, and the Ballard Farmer’s Market are all close by as are some hidden gem restaurants and cafes. We would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Seattle!

In between housing...
We had the pleasure of staying at this very dog-friendly home for 16 days while we were between homes. The home is exactly as pictured, in a great location and Karen is very responsive should you have any needs while there.

The house was great. We had a couple of good nights hanging on the back deck laughing talking and eating. Great local restaurants- Bean&Buscuit was walkable for breakfast and delish. Hi-Life was a short drive for another brunch(in an old firehouse 🙌🏼) and had amazing food too. Couple of blocks for a walk for the grandson to play on the playground.
Would love to return and would definitely stay here again!

Great house, great location
We very much enjoyed our stay at Old Ballard. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is really fun. The house was clean, a nice little backyard, and the entire area is very safe. Plenty of room for a family of four. I would stay here again.

Karen's home was so welcoming, she even offered to install air conditioning systems because of the unusual hot weather. We quite enjoyed our stay and access to Seattleland and beyond. Ballard is an easy drive or bus to downtown, the beach or just stay in Ballard for quaint coffee shops and walks to Green Lake or the Goodwill near Phinney Ridge! Thanks for sharing your home it was a home away from home. Loved it.

We enjoyed our stay but wish we had known before arriving that we were booking that we would be asked to clean the unit (to include taking out trash and washing the laundry) AND pay a steep cleaning fee. At booking we knew of the cleaning fee and were happy to pay it. We Were somewhat offended later when receiving check out info at having our deposit money held hostage if we didn’t clean and after paying such a steep cleaning fee for work we had to do in order to get our deposit refunded. The unit itself has a nice living and kitchen space. The bedrooms are very outdated and feel like they are stocked with thrift store finds. Ballard is such a hip and trendy spot and we were expecting a little bit more. The location was phenomenal- close to all the fun and quirky spots in Ballard and a quick drive to Seattle.

Great dog friendly house walking distance to hip Ballard restaurants and shops!
My husband and I stayed here with another couple atfer a long road trip. The house was the perfect size. It was super helpful that the house was dog friendly since we were traveling with our dog. The backyard was great because we could sit on the patio while the dog ran around. We enjoyed exploring Ballard. The house was only a five minute walk from great shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, big house & fully stocked!
The house is in a great neighbourhood (sorry about the spelling...I'm Canadian, eh.), had everything we needed and was bigger than it looks from the outside. The deck out back was huge. The kids loved having their own bedroom each and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes you'd ever need, along with great appliances. Although the house was old, it didn't really show its age and was set up great. My only two comments would be that if it were much hotter out, small window air conditioners in the bedrooms would be nice, especially in the top floor where the heat accumulates; and given the heat and needing the windows open to sleep, the house is pretty close to a major roadway so you do get some road noise in the bedrooms a bit when you are sleeping (ONLY if the windows are open). If the windows are closed, you don't hear a peep. Parking is a little tight on the road, and the driveway can only accommodate a small car as long as all the passengers get out before you go into the driveway. That all being said, don't let these comments stop you from renting this place. The location as I said was terrific and the house was perfect for my family of 4. When we visit Seattle again, we'll definitely stay in this house. Thank you Karen for taking such pride in your house and making it available for the traveling public!

Horrible hospitality
Home was charming but half bath unusable for getting ready as second bath has no outlet. Deal breaker was industrial construction 2 doors down. Started at 7 am with buzz saws, hammers and drills. We could not enjoy ourselves, miserable!! Owner uncooperative and totally unsympathetic!! She did not offer to find us other accommodations and refused refund. We traveled from east coast and it totally ruined our vacation. HomeAway has no control in aiding with refunds either. If you stay in a hotel, you can at least check out ad find suitable accommodations. If you don't mind renting from someone who only has their profit in mind but no concern for your comfort then this is the place for you. The worst vacation and hospitality ever!!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed our Seattle/Ballard visit and the house was enough space for our group of 4 adults.
The location is good, but parking is a challenge every day. Rapid-line buses are right out the door - so that could work. Home owner is very responsive and accommodating, Thanks!

Great house with lots of space!
My husband and I stayed with another couple in this home and it was amazing! The house is very spacious and has a great patio deck. We had a small issue with the hot water heater and Karen quickly responded and the problem was fixed. We were able to check in a little early when we arrived in Seattle as well. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to travel to Seattle! There was parking in the driveway for one car and you are close to Pikes Place. Plenty of eating to walk to nearby. We would gladly stay here again!

A very warm comfortable home away from home!!
My daughter's new in-laws appreciated a quiet retreat from all the festivities. The yard with the pear tree, the intriguing books available to read. And the opportunity for the mother in law to shop our great bakeries and make breakfast for her family.

Stayed at this well appointed home in Ballard, a Seattle enclave with Scandinavian heritage. All the amenities provided, especially the spices and cookware, were greatly appreciated. The five of us were able to both relax at home and go out exploring Downtown Seattle, the University District, and the beaches. Will recommend to friends visiting Seattle.

We used this house as a home base for a crew working on a nearby film shoot and the house was very comfortable. Owners had very clear instructions and couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again.
