Love the location. The house is spacious and in a lovely spot.... love hearing the church bells above us.
This is a bargain for the size and location
Bin was over flowing on arrival with rubbish beside it aswell.... lots of maggots in the bin (no clearly posted bin collection day in the house, so assuming the previous people didnt know when to put it out)
Ivy was wrapped around thr bin wheels so I guess it hadnt been moved for awhile.
We had to go to the local street bin to put our daily rubbish into that.
Beds are very uncomfortable and dirty mattresses (no kind of cover to protect them)
Everywhere was very dusty.
Coat rack still broken (wad broken last year when we stayed)
We just needed to do a quick clean and then got on with our holiday.

Quirky cottage in excellent location
Yard not very clean.
Unfortunately dishwasher not working, however the owners did send someone to try to fix it.

It’s so cosy and exactly what you need for a stay in Whitby. Location is also excellent.
It’s basic, which is absolutely perfect for us, but someone else might want a bit more e.g. not 6 of every bit of crockery.

The location is really good for exploring Whitby. The property is a good size for two families staying together.
The cleanliness wasn’t great. There were 2 cobwebs with spiders in the shower and the rug in the lounge was filthy. We were left with one parking permit only so requested another one via telephone and was told it would be sorted. This never happened. It was also unclear where we could park with the permit, so to avoid any issues, we decided against using it and paid to park on the other side of the river.
There were also not enough wine glasses -only two for a house that slept 9.
