Perfect stay. Javier the owner received us warmly and treated us nicely and generously our entire stay. The pool and yard are was amazing to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We will be returning very soon.

The owner was exceptional. He spoke English, which was a bonus for us, as we don't speak Spanish. He knew we were coming and stood outside on the street to help us find the place and to open the gate to allow us to park our car. He is very friendly and was willing to help us in any way he could. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the better ones we've had and the protected parking was a plus. Tigre has two sides the one that is a big tourist trap with everything you would expect at a not so nice cruiseship port. The other side of the river is the residential side, where La Marea is located. Much nicer restaurants, sidewalks, rowing clubs, shops and a lot greener (grass, trees, gardens, parks) than the other side of the river. There were 6 Argentinian girls and 1 American staying at La Marea for a few weeks training and hoping to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics this year. The owner introduced us and it was fun getting to know them and how they train and about their sport, Kayaking and Canoeing. Now we have someone to cheer for this summer.

The staff was so adorable and kind. The house is beautiful and everything smell good and is clean.

A lovely 20 minute riverside walk from Tigre train station, or 2 minutes by bus or taxi. Clean, good size rooms in a newly converted family home. Very friendly owner attendants.

I arrived too late in the year to eat the home grown pecans.
