The Ritz Hikkaduwa

Over two months travel in Sri Lanka this would have to be the best place we have stayed. Rohan and Piumi are delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are spotless, large and really comfortable. Our room overlooked a garden area and the pool. Close to Hikka restaurants. Beach and supermarkets. We did a cooking course with Piumi and had great fun…and food. We are so going to come back here!!

It was very clean.

Our score will not be as high as others’, because we saw many countries and hotels, and probably we are too demanding. This hotel is more like a guesthouse, the maximum adequate score is around 8 considering the hotel market in Sri-Lanka, while the realistic score is not more than 7. - Breakfast is very scanty: you. Better to NOT order it, and go to any restaurant nearby and you will have fantastic dishes for almost the same price. - Coffee was proposed only once, and they brought tea everyday. When we asked for coffee one day, they took tea pot away and prepared coffee in this teapot without washing it, so coffee smelled a bit like a tea.. - No toiletries - No hairdryer (even when we asked we need it, they can’t provide it) - No bags for trash bin - Too expensive for this price - you have an “empty” room.
