I had this property booked for the Sam Fender gig. as you can see it’s located in Gateshead which is about 10 minutes in a car away from the Newcastle city centre. as we arrived into Newcastle we received a call from the owner. he said the apartment had been double booked so he had upgraded us to a house. I checked the location of this “new upgrade” and it was 30 minutes in a car away from the city centre. meaning we had to spend more on taxis and it would’ve taken us over an hour on public transport to get to and from the city centre. when we arrived to the house to drop our bags off before the gig everything seemed fine and I reminded my family on the house rules. we were expecting a palace with hoe many house rules they were. we are respectable people and will always clean up after ourselves. including that we had to leave a £250 security deposit for something that isn’t too spectacular. after the gig we got back to the house and none of the electrics were working, regardless of how late it was I rang the owner as we couldn’t sit with no electric after paying all the money to stay and travel to Newcastle and surrounding areas. he wasn’t helpful on the phone at all, he said “I don’t know where the fuse box is” and “I’m not sure why it isn’t working the previous guests didn’t have an issue and the cleaners said it was fine” it’s a great job we figured it out on our own and the fuse box has been tripped by the like in the entrance. all in all we had a very stressful stay and spent unnecessary money on travelling to and from the house. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here as we have been robbed for our money

The location is quiet,so no problem sleeping. There are bus links in to the town interchange. Bus service to the metro centre.

The accommodation is not what is shown in the booking.com lists.misleading. There is an electric cooker ,toaster,kettle ,microwave ,fridge freezer in one location. In the living ,dining area there is a sink washing machine, dishwasher, two seater sofa, dining table 6 fold up chairs. Very uncomfortable to watch TV viewing with turned heads. No shower curtain in bathroom for use of shower, no plug for a bath, easy viewing for others to see you through bathroom window as the glass it not proper frosted glass. The house rules were sent late, which also was infuriating, especially when I reach the accommodation to find it had not even been cleaned appropriately. I would advise people yo really do their upmost to fully inspect and connect with their hosts and not have a uneventful home away from home experience.

Location good. Space was good. Free WiFi.

No plug in kitchen sink. Bin not emptied for our arrival. No curtains in bedrooms, only blind that didn't keep light out.

Fab location, great facilities, perfect for a girls weekend.

The neighbours played music loud fairly early in the morning.

Location is good for commute . The area is not good

Cleanliness of the property is poor , especially the bathroom and bin station outside is really bad . Waste bin is full of rubbish outside ( back side) . Downstairs neighbours are so loud , smoke weed and fight daily during our stay .the whole place is so smelly ; especially the toilet waste pipe is close to the window .there is no brush / broom / hoover in the kitchen . On the advertisement, it’s written that the property got iron and hairdryer which is missing . We requested and informed but no response . The place is below the expectation apart from location ; that’s why I vacate the property a day before to find the tranquility.
