Amazing experience in Yurt Camp. Place itself is beatiful and staff is friendly. Not overcrowded as some other camps.

The experience exceeded our expectations. When you book your stay at the Yurt Camp, Ruslan, who, together with his family and other families owns and operates the camp, gets in touch and helps you to arrange transport if needed. The price is fair for what you get. We got picked up in Buchara, had lunch at Ruslan's guest house before making our way to the desert. We stopped along the way and learned a thing or two about the country, its history and its people. The camp is secluded and only consist of a few yurts. It's basic (there is hardly any mobile connection, almost no electricity, no "luxury" of sorts), yet it has all you need - clean toilets and showers, excellent food, warm beds inside the yurts and stars like you have never seen them before. It's so peaceful and Ruslan and all the other people are available at all times in case anything is needed. On the drive back to Samarkand, we stopped at Aydar Lake and had another lunch stop at Ruslan's place. Our driver was excellent. All in all, we can highly recommend this Yurt Camp, it was one of our trip highlights.

We simply loved it!! It was very closed with the original way of leaving of the traditional people. But you have to be prepared! It's you to have to adapt to the local tradition, not the place to adapt to turists needs! No heating, no cooling, no restroom within the yurta, but a common external restroom where privacy has a little to compromise. Local food prepared in front of your eyes with a traditional owen, traditional songs at night, and a little family keeping alive old traditions... Camp is beautifully isolated, with no wifi, no electricity and a little complex to be found (but Google Maps works!)

It is a pity that food is served separately for guests and staff members. I would have preferred to stay all together, to help as a community and not to be served, also for sharing times to talk and share memories, stories and oral tradition and culture...

L'emplacement et les yourtes

Déception, même si on le savais avant de venir. Pas du tout authentique, on sent que c'est vraiment touristique et c'est tout, dommage. Nourriture pas incroyable et en faible quantité pour 9 dollars.
