I had booked a one-night stay for my wife and 9-year-old son at YOTEL Istanbul Airport Landside during their 16-hour transit. Unfortunately, due to my son's passport being close to expiration (only ten days left), they were not allowed to leave the transit area and reach the hotel. Thankfully, there was another YOTEL located on the airside within the transit area. They decided to take a chance and approached the staff at YOTEL Istanbul Airport airside access, asking if it was possible to change their reservation from the landside to the airside. It felt like a long shot, but to our delightful surprise, the staff swiftly and effortlessly accommodated their request within about ten minutes. The employees were friendly, helpful, and made the process incredibly smooth. I cannot express my gratitude enough. You truly made their layover hassle-free, sparing them from 16 hours of discomfort. This act of kindness will always be etched in my memory.

My family enjoyed every aspect of their experience and couldn't find anything to dislike.

A very clean and modern hotel, it’s a bit of a walk if you are walking from the international arrivals, but not hard to find. Complimentary water and slippers were a nice touch!

The floor was a bit crooked in my room, so after my shower, some water leaked out of the washing area. A toothbrush and toothpaste would be nice

only elevator, no stairs

- no need to go anywhere, very convenient with kids, there are 2 inner playgrounds nearby - restaurant right next to the hotel - great for dinner (bad for breakfast) - quite - personnel is great, we left some staff over, the hotel team kept it for 3 weeks until we collected it

- breakfast is scarce, almost nothing to eat especially for small kids (everything is with sugar), not tasty

Even though I booked this hotel, I actually stayed at YOTEL AIR which is in international departures section. I was extremely tired and would have paid any money to sleep lol and arrived by mistake to YOTEL AIR. There were no rooms available at the time and wonderful member of staff Cemre massively helped me out by transferring my booking from one hotel to the other without extra pay. Cemre is honestly brilliant, I was very grateful to her. I also asked the staff to give me a call in the morning to wake me up which they kindly did. My cabin was very spacious and clean, the facilities are great and very modern. I would recommend!!!

Staff need training on manners, politeness, sensitivity towards guests. I felt they were cruel and behaved like robots. Staff lacked compassion or humanity. I checked in at 4am-5am. I did inform hotel that I would check in late at time of booking. I hadn't slept for 2 days before I checked into hotel due to being in transit. I asked for 12.00 checkout when I checked in. The person in reception said he would make an exception and allow me to check out at 12.00. However I was woken from sleep at 10.00 informing me checkout time was over and I should checkout. I informed the person that his colleague at checkin agreed that I could checkout at 12:00 noon as I had checked in at 5am and if I stayed longer I would pay 11 Euro per hour. He said it was not policy to do that and there were no notes left on the system by his checkin colleague. I managed to convince him that it was agreed I could stay until 12:00 without additional charge but I would pay 11 Euros for every extra hour. I then tried to go back to sleep. A little time after I had fallen asleep the same person called me again at just after12:00, reminding me of noon checkout. I said would pay the 11 Euros per hour when I checked out, he insisted I get out of bed, get changed, come to reception and pay in advance for the number of hours I expected to stay. I tried to tell him that I just wanted to sleep for a few hours and I would pay for extra hours at checkout. He demanded I come to reception and pay. I felt that I was harrassed and humiliated, all I wanted was few hours sleep, but was not allowed to do that. I felt distrusted, rudely treated and humiliated by a very young person who looked not more than 20 years age. I am a middle aged person, 54 years of age. I have never been treated like this. Policy and rules are one things, manners and cutomers relations are also important.
