Everything is new, everything is in a high level, everything it’s fine.

You can hear the neighbors, they need to explain that they don’t clean because of the coronavirus and they need to explain the rules of the hotel. If you want to clean the room you need to pay extra money and it’s not Nice because we pay a lot of money for the rooms.

This place has a 50-year history as a timeshare resort for Swiss and German shareholders and their families, but was completely re-imagined and renovated in 2017 to meet all the requirements of the modern visitor, and opened up to other guests and platforms such as Booking.com. I really admire the quiet location, quality lodging with full self-catering facilities (coffee and Nespresso machines, tea kettle, toaster, microwave oven, ceramic cooker stove, dishwasher etc.) but also restaurant, bar and mini-market in this area of Porto Heli that has many relics from the 70s that have character but never been updated. Silent air conditioning and solid shutters during a heatwave were a godsend, as were the pool and pebble beaches. Needless to say, the Swiss standard cleanliness during a pandemic was extremely welcome and meant for a worry-free stay. I would have no second thoughts on bringing my own family here.

In general all the new design and layout features were immaculate, save for strange angles in the sleeping area of my 30 sq.m studio, leaving very little space around the front and far end of the otherwise comfy bed, which I assume would have been quite cumbersome for a second person to navigate very night and morning. Obviously the Spa facilities were closed for health and safety reasons, which I definitely missed.
