I like all the little details in the property and warn welcome of the owners

In my room the bathroom was outside of the room, was only for me, but I prefer something more private and inside of the main room

The management here makes all the difference. The co-owner was there on premises whenever you needed him, helpful, full of information, concerned. The facility is really comfortable, and all the details are attended to. The approach is very modern; the co-owner can control everything -- door locks, heat pump -- from his phone, so if you have a problem, you can contact him and he can usually fix it at the touch of a button. He knows his island, and his recommendations are pretty much spot-on. When you like a place, usually there are some special touches that set it apart. For me, it was the free cappucino machine.

The Villa is on the other side of the lagoon from the main tourist area, Banda, in among banks, minor consulates, and small businesses, so not an area that demands to be visited. It's about a 10-15 minute walk around the lagoon to where the restaurants and markets are. It's not a bad area, but since there isn't much to it, you're happy enough to get through the door and into this very pleasant accommodation.

Die Inhaber sind super nett und hilfsbereit, die Betten super bequem, das Zimmer wunderbar abzudunkeln. Frühstück gut, jederzeit Kaffee verfügbar. Lage sehr gut, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Sehr sauber und renoviert. Badezimmer schön uns funktionell! Alle sind super herzlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Zimmer etwas klein, für kurze Aufenthalte optimal, für 2 Wochen würde es mich stören. Schönes altes Haus, aber dadurch leider auch Hellhörig. Je nach anderen Gästen kann es gut oder echt nervig sein. Wir hatten 2 super Nächte und die letzte Nacht super nervig, weil die Gäste über uns die ganze Nacht getrampelt sind und Möbel gerückt haben....

Nos encantó la atención de Paul, propietario, y de todo el equipo del hotel; Paul es un gran anfitrión. Nos sentimos como en casa, las habitaciones son muy cómodas y, algunas, tienen una pequeña cocina. El desayuno es muy completo y balanceado. Hay café gratis en cualquier momento del día. El hotel está situado en una zona muy cercana a los principales atractivos turísticos. ¡Si vas para Curazao, no dudes en alojarte en Villa Amalie & Villa Curiel, es una casa con muchísima magia!

Nos gustó todo, absolutamente todo. Paul, propietario del hotel, es un magnífico ser humano, muy servicial y especial. La casa en donde funciona el hotel es hermosa, con un patio espectacular, y las habitaciones son muy cómodas y han sido renovadas. El desayuno es muy completo y, si eres amante del café, podrás tomar cuantas tazas quieras durante toda tu estadía (el café el ilimitado). Es un lugar en donde podrás descansar, sentirte como en casa, y desde donde podrás desplazarte a los sitios turísticos de Curazao.

Het 3e bedje, sliep heel slecht en kraakte. De eigenaar gaf aan dat het een huisje was voor twee personen. Dus het 3e bedje is niet voor mensen met rug klachten.

Primeiro lugar, o atendimento! Paul e Gadiel foram extremamente atenciosos, solícitos e gentis a todo momento!! Nota 10 para eles! O quarto tinha uma cama muito boa, o café da manhã era simples mas muito bom!

Do banheiro ser fora do quarto e da água do chuveiro ser fria!! Isso foi um ponto negativo!

I loved how lovely the hotel staff was. They also had excellent advice for how to best stay use our time in the island.

Nothing, all excellent. Beyond expectatives.

Overall, I found it a very quiet and comfortable stay. The hotel is a beautifully renovated old house. The room was spacious with windows to the street and all facilities. The breakfast was pretty complete, although the same every day. For me that is not a problem, but I prefer to mention it.

For a couple of nights, there was a lot of noise in the street, but that is not up to the hosts. Pillows are quite hard and high, but I don't mind sleeping without a pillow. So it was all sorted out. It is worth mentioning that the mattress is very soft and perhaps that is not very recommendable for people with lumbar pains.

This place is charming! We spent six wonderful days at Villa Amalie. We were totally comfortable, as if we were in our own home. Poul and Roger were always very attentive and very helpful to us. The location is perfect for walking to Punda (downtown). We walked there every day to enjoy the night in a bar or restaurant, but it is possible to spend very pleasant nights at Villa Amalie. In the outdoor area, where breakfast is served, you will have access to a hot drinks machine and great background music. Breakfast is very tasty, prepared with great care and served at the table with a sufficient variety of items, such as juice, yogurt, boiled egg, bread, fruit, cheese, ham and other items to be spread on bread. Our room had a mini kitchen, which served us very well when preparing our snacks to take to the beaches. Last but not least, you will enjoy the presence of the lovely Irene, a charming dog, who is present every morning at breakfast time.

The host was the owner. We saw him several times in the day. He was always asking if there was anything more we needed. The place is excellent, clean and quiet.

Not one thing.

The owners were absolutely amazing and were wonderful hosts. From picking us up at the airport to telling us all about the city, they were a wealth of knowledge! The house was beautiful and the courtyard was a great place to unwind after a busy day.

The home was a little far away from downtown. Normally not a bad walk, but in hot weather it was LONG :)

Villa was ecactly as in pictures. Near everything, in walking distance. Owners were friendly and helpfull. Villa included everything needed, breakfast was good.

Maybe there could be some variation of breakfast, if i have to make some critical point.

The location, the quietness of the property, and the owners were very welcoming and very friendly.

I liked everything. I knew what I was paying for, a small motel with 8 rooms.

Property was very secure, my husband and I felt very safe.

No pool on site, but pool passes were given to a sister hotel which was exceptional.

I loved the hospitality of the owners! Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start of the day.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Villa Amalie and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine desire to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained, making for a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Our room was equipped with a coffee machine, which was a great touch and really added to the comfort of our stay. The guests of Villa Amalie also get access to the stunning infinity pool located at the Saint Tropez in Pietermaai, which was an absolute treat. The pool provided a perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The two owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. I also have to mention the delicious breakfast, that was included with our stay. Every morning we were greeted with a beautifully arranged table and the owner himself brought us breakfast. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests really set them apart from other hotels we’ve stayed at. And of course, the location of the hotel is perfect. Situated in a quiet and picturesque area, it's just a short walk from some of the city's best restaurants, cafes, and attractions like Queen Emma Bridge. Overall, I give the Hotel Villa Amalie a five-star rating without hesitation. It's the perfect choice for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a beautiful location, with exceptional service. I can't recommend it highly enough!
