Hudson B&B

Beautifully appointed home with a delightful owner who made breakfast a sublime experience.

Nothing.

We spent two nights at this lovely B&B and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Located in the Hudson Historic District, it’s a short walk from the Amtrak station and just a few blocks from dozens of restaurants, galleries, and shops. The B&B is modern, spacious, and beautifully decorated, and our bedroom and bathroom were updated and very comfortable. Carolyn, the host, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was super helpful in suggesting activities, places to visit, and bars and restaurants. Coffee was available early, and she was engaged and very interesting, happy to chat with us and share stories (and listen to ours), and to laugh. It felt more like being in a friend's home than at a B&B. And she prepares a great breakfast: fresh fruit, along with choices such as bacon, French toast, omelets, and a variety of breads. I knew we’d chosen a special place when we came downstairs to the smell of made-from-scratch corn muffins that had just come out of the oven. Another day she offered croissants from a local bakery. Honestly, there was more food than we needed, but it was so good it was hard to refuse any of it. I don’t think there’s anything the Hudson B&B could have improved on. Our only complaint was that our schedule didn’t allow us to stay longer.

Loved the food and the service was amazing. The owner was so helpful and very nice to talk to.

The location is perfect for walking to everything. The host is delightful, full of suggestions to steer us to good activities and food. Her cooking is amazing and her impeccable taste in decor reflects her background in interior design.
