Four friends spending a few days on the coast. The house was perfect as we each had our own room, and the rooms are spacious. One room had its own bathroom which was a bonus! We really appreciated the thought that went into all the items the house had stocked for the kitchen. We even found extra batteries for the clock and TV remote. We didn't have children in our party, but it looks like it is well thought out for them as well. Thank you!

We had a great time at the Brass Crab!! The house was just as described. I was a little nervous that it would be too small for our group of 8; however, that wasn't at all the case. The layout of the home worked well with the bedrooms in the corners of the home and the common areas in the middle. The outdoor area was perfect to enjoy the nice October weather, and the outdoor shower was wonderful. The beds were comfortable although I do recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones provided were very thin. We went to Oyster Festival, which was held at Tom's Cove Park, and were able to walk, which was a huge benefit to us. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit the island, especially if you'll be attending any events at Tom's Cove Park. I didn't interact with the owner during our stay as there was no reason to - all detailed information provided in the check-in instructions were accurate, there was a list on the fridge that had additional information, and the house was as promised. I did exchange a few emails shortly after booking; my questions were immediately and clearly answered. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I find myself back in the area!

We had so much fun! The house had plenty of space and was so well appointed. Right down the road from Beebe Ranch. Owner was responsive and very kind. The locals in this town are the best!! Our children had a great time and my friend and I did as well. We will be back!

Owner needs to make sure Wi-Fi password and network are prominently posted. We had to call owner. Also there was only one remote for tv and should have been two. We made it work

It was a great experience. The kids had a great yard to play in. Everything is there you would need to get started.
I would suggest some dish towels, plastic containers with tops to put food in. Get a new vacuum! Really enjoyed it.

We had a great time! Home is so nice and clean. The lay out is perfect for a larger family , Perfect size. Loved the location . So nice and quiet. Enjoyed a stop at the Island creamery and Better Food truck is amazing!!! Would love to return!

The Brass Crab is located minutes from all the highlights of Chincoteague. The house is cute and quaint, but don’t be fooled- there is plenty of room for large families or even a group of friends/couples.
The yard is wonderful for kids. We spent a lot of time out back playing baseball after dinner and before heading out to ice cream at the Island Creamery.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the Brass Crab, chincoteague is wonderful and relaxing and it was just what our family needed before heading back to school.
*I would recommend an industrial size door mat at the front door to catch dirt and sand from the beach and yard*

I don’t think you could’ve asked for a better spot to stay with kiddos! But also- it was comfy, clean and roomy! We enjoyed our stay here and think that this is the best spot we’ve stayed at on the island thus far. The enclosed backyard was lovely as well as a generous sized front yard!

The wash stations in the front and back helped everyone quickly clean off from the beach. Fenced in backyard is very private and peaceful. Neighbors are friendly. Host was quick with all communications and a pleasure to book from.

The Brass Crab has everything! 4 bed rooms (more than we needed) two bathrooms, a spacious backyard, grill, outdoor seating, and firepit! The decor was beachy and stylish and the kitchen had everything we needed to make amazing meals at home. My 6 year old daughter loved the room with the bunk beds, and the TV had all the streaming apps we needed to hunker down for a movie after a long day at the beach. The house is so easy to get to and a short drive from the grocery store and amazing eats like Woody's and Pico! Highly recommend and we definitely want to come back to this amazing property!! Communication with the owner was so easy and timely!

Elizabeth and Matt have thought of everything to make this place super comfortable. Everything from the blackout curtains to the French press to endless hot water made it a great getaway. We loved the fire pit!! The location is convenient and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

All aspects of this booking were handled smoothly. The house is even better than pictured. Very comfortable for a large family or extended family. House comes fully stocked for cooking and outdoor use of firepit. There were NO bugs and we were there at beginning of August. Nice to have a washer and dryer and a generous supply of towels. The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the selection of books! Every detail for your comfort was thought out. Two indoor showers and nice outdoor shower too. Owner even reached out to tell us about a rocket launch nearby but I went unplugged for the vaykay. But that thoughtfulness was appreciated. Would happily request to book again!

Spacious quarters no one was underfoot. Our grandchildren enjoyed their stay. Would recommend this property to anyone with kids. The gentleman next door was gracious in helping us navigate around. Look forward to returning.

Just like home (but with ponies!)
Our second time at the Brass Crab and it was even lovelier than the first visit. The home is comfy, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and beautiful. The kids loved the games and books and running around in the fenced yard. We all loved the proximity to pony events, the grill, and the outdoor shower. The new bathroom is an added bonus! We will definitely be back.

Suited our needs...
House is located towards the south of Chincoteague island in quiet neighborhood. Lawn was maintained nicely, but we were not able to enjoy it due to the abundant mosquitoes in Chincoteague during the summer months. House accommodated our family well which consisted of my wife, 4 children, elderly mom and myself. The negatives we experienced were: beds were not made (comforters just lying over beds.) Had to put sheets/ pillowcases on five beds after a late evening arrival. Needed more towels/ wash clothes for the family. Property will be improved once adjacent abandoned house is demolished. Otherwise, everything worked well and the house looked like it had been recently updated. We slept well and the spaces were very functional for a larger family.

This was a thoughtful adorable house. My kids enjoyed the craft box, legos, and blocks. We tried Famous Pizza and Island Creamery and loved both. The yard is big and flat. Loved the pink bathroom! We didn't cook but the kitchen was nicely stocked. We'll be back again.
