Huge old spiderwebs in my room. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. No WiFi in my room.

The host was really friendly and helpful- I arrived a bit early but he came to let me in. He also offered (free of charge) to take me to an out of town sports shop so I could buy better socks for walking. The bed was comfortable, and the location is close to the town centre so it's easy to walk in for food, shopping etc.
I guess whilst the bathroom was clean, maybe a shared bathmat is not such a good idea. But perhaps that's what you should expect for a shared bathroom?

bedding smelled of cigarette smoke. window bars would make escape in event of fire impossible. bathroom not clean. no WiFi although advertized

Big noise from the busy road under the house. Untidy kitchen.

The hotel is clean, cozy and comfortable. It is located in the center of Citta di Castello, within walking distance of everything

The structure of the hotel is beautiful. There are different rooms opening onto the same common area. like parts of a house. I think this was actually an old house before. It has an authentic structure. It was written 1847 on the fireplace, but I didn't know if it meant that date. There are 2 separate bathrooms.
When I went to the place, I pressed the bell, but no one was there. The man in the shop across the street called the hotel owner and came 10 minutes later. Don't expect anything reception style. Make sure to call before you go. Also, the person in charge does not speak English. and I could not use the wifi service. The attendant also connected from his own phone, but he could not enter either.

The host is super nice, the place really comfy and clean. Money value ratio is awesome and the location perfect to go out in the evening.
