Daraya Boutique Hotel

The hotel has an old school charm about the decor that we loved, because so many hotels feel like copies of each other now. The room was spacious, with a charming balcony, wooden closets, plush couches and a vintage vibe. It also had so much natural light during the day (and blackout curtains).

The hotel doesn't yet have a restaurant, which means no meals, no breakfast etc. We knew this, but it still feels a little odd. Hope they change this soon. Until then, you can always use Grab (just make sure you're paying online or have enough cash ready in advance). The hotel itself... while beautiful, we found the staff extraordinarily unfriendly and cold - a first in Thailand. This has never been the case over countless trips to the country, and it was a tad disconcerting to be greeted by unsmiling, unfriendly faces who pretty much said, "Not possible," to almost any ask. The property somehow found the coldest four people in Thailand to work there, haha

The Daraya is an absolute diamond of a hotel in Bangkok. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful and kind people I have met and I am so grateful for their help, checking in on me, receiving everything I order to the hotel and always being so warm and welcoming. The hotel location is perfection, less than 5 minutes walk to MBK centre and 10 into central Bangkok, unlike some hotels it’s also so easy to get a taxi at this hotel and the staff who work downstairs are the best and make me smile every day. Easy walks to the BTS as well. The hotel itself is beautiful I feel like I’m in a castle, the rooms are so spacious and have lovely detailed touches in them such as the Bluetooth speaker and bath salts. The cleaning staff always leave the rooms spotless and are careful and thorough (and I love seeing them in the morning when I leave as they are always so smiley.) The bed is luxurious and comfortable and I never hear any noise in our outside the hotel and the air con works really well. The pool on the roof is a bonus, sunshine during the day and a beautiful view at night, lovely place to unwind. This is my favourite hotel in Bangkok especially because of the wonderful staff and I look forward to staying again.

I am not sure why it is 4 star hotel where it certanikly 3-start hotel no more than that. hotel does not provide breakfast, one of bedrooms did not have any windows and other bedrrom windows is looking into other building
