Reviewer Comments: We love that this house is on the river and right across the bridge from the Great Allegheny Passage, a bike path that runs from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA. The sunsets here are awesome. We love walking the dogs, running and biking it. We even saw a family of otters playing. And, we get to see riders come to Confluence for a meal. Two restaurants we enjoyed - Mitch's for breakfast and the River's Edge for dinner. There is no dishwasher, so we brought some nice disposable plates to cut down on dish washing. The kitchen is well-stoked with dishes and cooking tools.

We enjoy staying in Confluence which is a quiet community close to biking trails. Found the Salty Dog enjoyable to dine at. The house is a great size for up to 6, but does sleep more. Thanks !

The lodge was so inviting and so clean! It was perfect for a home away from home. We were in walking distance of rentals and food. The view was beautiful. We will definately be back :)

We stayed here 4th of July weekend 2022. The property is nice and cozy for the most part. There is a very nice balcony upstairs and a very nice front porch which was great for relaxing and drinking morning coffee. There is plenty of access to the river which is right across the street, and the street is a dead end street and this place being only one of 2 houses on this side of the dead end street made it very nice and secluded. Very spacious for a large group of people. The bed in the master bedroom could’ve been more comfy as the beds in the other bedrooms were much better. Hot tub was great and it was large enough for quite a few people however the appearance around the hot tub could’ve been better. It was beside the garage were the siding on the garage was totally melted and falling off almost all the way across. Looked to be caused by the grill but should be replaced before renting this place out or we should’ve at least been told about it prior to renting. There is so much to do in the area… kayaking, rafting, fishing, camping, swimming, waterfalls, Ohiopyle state park, bike trails and rentals, and the bike trail is right there by this house crossing the river. Even if you don’t ride bikes it’s a great place to take a late night walk and look at the stars. We really enjoyed this place… like I said there could definitely be a few updated to the master bedroom and a few things need fixed but all and all I would definitely stay again.

The kitchen was huge which was great for the late night chats and the large breakfasts. The hot tub was amazing. It needed to be cleaned but we enjoyed it still. Overall it was great.

Ringing in 2022 at The River House was a great way to start a new year! The house was spacious enough to accommodate 4 adults and 3 teenage children. The surrounding area was perfect for hiking and long walks along the river. I imagine this would be a perfect rental in the summer.

Living room seats 8 easily and comfortably. House is older but remodeled. Needs a few maintenance issues fixed ( we let manager know) but none hampered our stay. The house was clean. Overall a good place! Would stay again.

It seemed like everywhere I looked something was broken, not working correctly or falling of the wall. Next to the front door, a thing to hang your keys fell off everytime we came in and out the front door ( ended up having to take it off the wall and place in counter), the exterior of this property is very poor and cheaply done (even has "lovely" siding falling off the garage area while you soak in the hot tub ), multiple porch chairs broken, back slider is broke and doesn't lock correctly ( safety issue), NO DISHWASHER ( seriously on vacation ? For the rate you are asking), the floors are falling apart and slanted throughout property ( worse in kitchen), broken blind, the water tastes disgusting don't drink it, and etc !!! Then when we were trying to pack up and leave; their cleaning crew was standing staring at us while we finished washing dishes etc and getting out of the rental ( we exited 10 minutes late), as well as they showed up next door at a rental at 9:30 and then stood around watching us and starring us down ( unprofessional) . Definitely will not rent this again. Live and learn, BUT learn from us, don't rent here!!!! However, DO go see some cool ppl at white water adventure in downtown Ohiopyle and head down the river rafting; they were awesome !!!!!

We were there at the end of the season, so there weren't many places to eat. So, we cooked in a lot. Not sure the kitchen is fully equipped for family dinners. And you have to wash your dishes between meals - no dishwasher. The stairs are bit loud because there aren't carpets anywhere. But that makes it easier to manage having the dogs. We even had a visiting opossum by the hot tub. The hot tub is great - great jets, and very private.

My siblings and I rented this house for a weekend getaway and it couldn’t have a been a better time. The house is so spacious, it fit us all very comfortably- we really hated to leave. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had a great layout and the porches were wonderful. The children loved the hot tub, too. We will definitely be back!

Our experience in the past hasn’t been with well appointed kitchens so this was a nice surprise. No fire pit so we brought our own and left it for future renters to use. Love the location by the bike trail. We rented 6 bikes and baby carriers from the local bike shop. Very nice man operating it. With all the hardwood it is easy to hear everyone walking when trying to sleep but our sound machines helped with that. Great house. Clean hot tub. Would love to stay again.

Within walking distance rafts and bicycles can be rented. A wonderful restaurant is just blocks away and pizza is just over the bridge.

Loved the inside of the home. The kitchen/dining area was quite welcoming and comfy. The outside could use a bit of TLC (new grill and some light landscaping). We will definitely revisit this home.
