Cosy Maltese Townhouse, Roof Terrace and Views
Questa affascinante casa con una camera da letto si trova nella città fortificata di Senglea. Una penisola che si estende verso lo spettacolare Grand Harbour, Senglea fa parte delle "Tre città" maltesi e, insieme a Cospicua e Vittoriosa, offre un accattivante esempio di autentico patrimonio maltese. Con antichi edifici risalenti al XVI secolo, strade strette e attraenti, imponenti bastioni e viste spettacolari sul Grand Harbour, Senglea ha molto da offrire ai suoi abitanti. Situato su tre piani, questa casa di carattere offre l'opportunità di coniugare modernità e tradizione. Con una cantina, garigor originale, scala a chiocciola e terrazza maltese, la proprietà mantiene molte delle sue caratteristiche tradizionali. Entrando in una zona accogliente, la scala a chiocciola in pietra calcarea conduce al primo piano, che consiste in un comodo soggiorno / cucina / sala da pranzo a pianta aperta, mentre il secondo piano presenta una camera da letto matrimoniale contemporanea e un bagno con doccia. A livello del tetto, l'eccellente posizione di questa casa di personaggi è a schermo intero. Con una magnifica vista sul famoso Grand Harbour, il piano superiore di questa struttura è l'ideale per intrattenere gli ospiti in una lunga serata estiva, magari dopo una giornata trascorsa a vedere la famosa gara tradizionale della Regata, passeggiando per il rinnovato Yacht Marina o rilassarsi. Nei giardini di Gardjola. - Tenete presente che sono in corso lavori di costruzione su un terreno vicino e che durante il vostro soggiorno sono previsti alcuni disturbi. ---

Had a wonderful stay in Senglea at this property situated just steps away from Gnein Gardjola, a nice park on the tip of the peninsula with a lovely view of Valletta, Vittoriosa, the harbor and the Mediterranean. And the views from the rooftop terrace are even more panoramic. The place itself was very comfortable, with a full complement of kitchen and bathroom features and other amenities. Good heaters in the bedroom and main living room, you just need to run them for a while before the rooms really heat up, as the stone walls and marble floors are heat syncs (I stayed in Feburary, outside temperature ranged between 10-16C or 50-60F).
Senglea is a mostly residential area, somewhat sleepy compared to Valletta or especially Sliema and St.Julian which are busier and more commercial and tourist-y. It's about a 10 minute walk to the ferry to Valletta, and there are water front restaurants and some shops and bakeries on the way to the ferry in Cospicua, which is between Senglea and Vittoriosa.

We love the area and stay in Senglea every visit. This was the first time we stayed in this property. There were some good points and not so good points about the property. On the plus side, the view is amazing, the bed and living room sofa were very comfortable. But some things were not as expected when compared to many others we have rented. The dining furniture and the roof terrace table and chairs were uncomfortable and seemed very flimsy. The kitchen lacked many items we would consider basic (wooden spoons, eggcups, plenty of glassware of a decent size, an oven dish or two, cling film and tinfoil, some basic cleaning liquids, more than 2 tea towels, larger dinner plates, decent kitchen knives, etc). There was no washing machine liquid or capsules at all. The iron was the worst we’ve encountered and spat out water all over our clothes. There was no welcome pack of any sort, and we have neverr experienced that as there is usually a minimum of some bottled water and maybe a local wine. There was no information pack about the house/appliance instructions/ local amenities etc. the TV is not a smart tv so you cannot get Netflix or similar. It’s a shame as the house is cute but the basic nature of things did not sit well. We will always return to Malta but unfortunately not this rental.
